Talhar, still playing with his two coins, surprisingly won the first game.
He was thrilled, winning at gambling gave a much more pleasant feeling than winning at normal games.

" Come to Snowflake baby! "
He said with a silly grin on his face. He realized he was called by another name by that Murdoch fellah but he couldn't care less. He won and if it was up to him he'll win alot more tonight.

He had to put effort to stop him from smiling too abnoxiously when he had seen he had a Paige and a Tree dealt to him. But he managed.

" Thanks. "
He replied to Murdoch, hearing the resentment in Murdoch's voice made Talhar feel a little guilty for taking his money but he let it go. After all, Murdoch and Sassin knew they were playing for money, just as much as Talhar did.

Murdoch gave another rueful chuckle as he threw in the ante for the next deal.

"So, you're between jobs, though I still have no idea what you do," he said, wagging a finger at Sasin, "and Snowball, what about you? What do you do?"

The cards were dealt out again as he spoke, and he spared a minute to glance at them before turning his attention back to the other two. He would let Talhar win this one as well, noting how enthused the man became, and would continue to work him throughout the night, letting him win just often enough to get him excited, and then Murdoch would do his best to take the rest of his money.

Sasin snickered. "First Snowball, and now snowflake? Can I call you Snowcone?" he asked, amused.

"Me? I'm a mercenary." He said, absentmindedly. He took the top stack off his pyramid, and tossed it in. "I might not look it, but I can hold my own in a fight."

He glanced, first at Murdoch, then at Talhar. It seemed too easy. Murdoch had been here before, and obviously knew his cards. Talhar, he didn't know about, but he had gotten the impression that he was as new to this as Sasin himself was.

He turned to the dealer, waiting for his cards, as he pondered.

Just what game was afoot? And who was playing who?

" You can call me Suzie Hotbutt for all I care, as long as you keep giving me your money. " He said jokingly.

After directing his attention to Murdoch he answered: " I'm one of the two shopowners of Morwen's Lights Jewelry Store, in Zeltiva. But It's only a temporary thing, I want to continue my journey across Mizahar soon. "

He slid the same amount of money as Sassin towards the center of the table and messaged a waitress over to their table, ordered a Jugglin' Jack and continued to play with his two coins in the meantime.

The next few hands went a little more favorably for Doc - he won about two-thirds of Talhar's coins, though Sasin still had about half of his - before the Vantha half-blood finally won another hand.

"Good one!" Murdoch chuckled, slapping the man on the shoulder encouragingly. "See, you're gettin' the hang of it. Not much to Portraits once you figure out what the cards mean. Shyke, I think you might come from behind after all," he said with a wink.

Sasin frowned, eyeing his hand. So far, it had been Murdoch and Talhar winning, for the most part. He was losing moderately, but still losing. He was down to thirty silver.

"So, Suzie Hotbutt. Where do you plan on going next?" He asked, teasingly.

" I guess. " Said Talhar briskly, he was well aware that he was losing alot. One small winnings in his favor meant little now, the rush of winning was still there but the rush of vengeance after losing was steadily building up aswell. If Talhar wasn't careful he might grow a gambling addiction, Talhar has never been exposed to addictions before so he's unaware of the dangers of overabuse. He has always been protected of drugs, medicine and gambling of large quantities. But tonight it was different, there wasn't anyone from his tribe, family or friends to hold him back and he subconsciously cut all his mental brakes.

He had already lost two thirds of his capital, including his winnings but the thought of quitting never even entered his mind. All he wanted was to win.

STARTING:
Sasin: 60 sm
Talhar: 30sm
Doc: 100sm

CURRENT:

The next round went to Sasin, and Murdoch ordered another drink and slipped the waitress a silver for her tip and got a quick, laugh-thread kiss in return. The next two rounds went to Talhar, and then the fourth was split between Sasin and Talhar.

"I think he's a bit deep in the game," Murdoch said with a wink to Sasin. "Is there much work for mercenaries around here?" he asked curiously, eyebrows raising. "I thought the Knights usually hired out people like you to guard the roads."

TallyFINAL:
Sasin: 32sm
Talhar: 27sm
Doc: 130sm

He smirked. "I'm not complaining. Although I do have to wonder about.....shall we say, external interference." He murmured.

"No, I'm afraid there's not. What jobs I do get, however, do support me for long enough to get another one." He smirked. "I recently took a rather large comission, which is why I can afford to be sitting here now, loosing money to you."

He grimanced at his cards. "The knights....well, they don't trust me. I'm not asked to do anything for them."

Bad News Everybody. School is picking up, Exams are beginning to happen, homework is growing time consuming, I may soon be evicted from my apartment, I'm dealing with severe and physical fights among several of my best friends, and I can't seem to find a time to get much needed sleep. I'm terribly sorry, but don't expect to see much of me for a long while.
