Trying to get started

First off, I have no idea what I'm doing

I've RP'd a tiny bit before, so I know the basics, but never one as detailed as this. Mostly little side games that people put together in a forum not specifically for RP.

I definitely want to play a Nuit, I feel like one would fit my personality pretty much perfectly, but I'm not sure how I'd want to start one. I know on the Nuit wiki page it says that they almost always are created with a dead body by someone skilled at Daek-nuit, but it also mentioned (if I understood correctly) that living beings could become one by drinking enough of a live nuit's ichor. I think I would be interested in being a newly born nuit, as opposed to jumping in as one that has been around a while, so would it be viewed as legitimate/within rules to start off as a different race whose goal from the beginning is to gain immortality, and have him go to Sahova to get the ichor of a nuit? Or is it generally considered in this community that if you want to be a nuit, you start as a nuit and all the "how they're made" details are mostly just backstory information?

That's my main question at the moment, though I have plenty more If any friendly vet would be interested in helping me out as I get started I'd be very grateful, just PM me

A good idea would be to start off as a Nuit and than thread about you becoming one in Flashback threads, but that's me.

Hello and welcome to Mizahar.

Im glad that you have decided on your race. Its one of the many steps in character creation.

To answer your question you may go to Sahova as a human (or any other race. Doesnt matter you all have pulses) and be turned into a nuit there by drinking the Sahovan kool-aid (nuit ichor) or through the ritual process. Though, its harder than it sounds as the undead only turn those they think have potential. So you have to show them that you are wroth keeping around and more useful than a body when you die or more useful than a test subject. Going to Sahova as someone living is hard. There is hardly any food, the nuits forget the livings needs most of the time, and you will be worked till you drop from exhaustion and onwards. Not very pleasant most of the time. So you might be better off starting as a nuit if you wish to go to Sahova.

Do NOT just read the disciplines. It will not give you a full understanding of how magic works within Mizahar.
