PC Name: Shanapar the Untamed PC Race: Chaktawe Skillset: Weapon (Dagger), Archery (Shortbow), Hunting, Unarmed Combat, Falconry, Wilderness Survival What About the Quest Motivates You?: OOC: I am looking for a more story driven plot of Shanapar, so the idea of joining a crew of ship really interests me. Also, I made Shanapar as a explorer, so being on a ship and exploring Mizahar really makes me interested. Shanapar IC: Shanapar has a hard time dealing with large groups of people since his people are nomads in desert, so a small crew of 8 to 11 people would be good for him. Also, if we ever stop on a island or land, Shanapar can go out hunting for the crew. Any Ideas For the Project?: Theo your idea is fantastic, and I was thinking since the Palivar is a expensive ship. Maybe the crew of the ship is trying to pay off the debt. It could be a main motivating factor of crew, and it could also the drive for the odd jobs of the crew. Any Other Questions?: I am going to be moving my character out of Ahatep in the beginning of spring, and I was wondering what city, I should move him to join the crew if you are interested in having Shanapar apart of it?

I would love to create either an Akalak Flux wizard with a (brawler/grappler fighting style) or some kind of crafter as an alt for this adventure. Let me know if there is any room on the ship left and if there's a preference for the need that is filling out amongst the group. I see that someone is thinking of joining up as a glassworker so I can't imagine we'll need a ship full of crafters I'm flexible though. I'm beyond willing to craft an alt for the needs of the group!

What About the Quest Motivates You?: Drayvenos is without a web and without that, he has a void within him. By having a group of individuals he can eventually become close to, Dray could perhaps create his own web of sorts with these people by having a bond with them all. Also, because he was disowned by his family, perhaps on this adventure he could discover his purpose. Since he was not destined to thrive in Kalinor, maybe Viratas could reveal his new mission and purpose in life. This would also be a great way for Dray to expand and learn new skills while seeing the world.
Any Ideas For the Project?: Oh...loads haha. I liked the idea mentioned earlier that we could all be working off to pay the debt on the ship, and well hopefully make some money for ourselves. So maybe we could gather artifacts for wealthy merchants and rare ingredients for wizards, bodyguard assignments, spy missions...maybe have a few battles with some Myrian and other monsters. Oh and maybe we could have a few threads with each of our gods revealing something for each character.

Hellooo~ I have a character I would LOVE to send on this quest! I think her bluntness, and her cold demeanour might rub a few people the wrong way haha. I can't express how much I love this Idea, I hope there is room for her! PC Name: Lexa Maze * PC Race: Human * Skillset: Katana, unarmed combat, Throwing stars/knives, wilderness survival * What About the Quest Motivates You?: Where to start!, lets just say EVERYTHING. I love role-play and I love plots and character development and story lines. What your suggesting sounds like a mix of all of that! I wasn't sure where to go with my PC, and this sounds really good, especially since she's not that good at... bonding with people, or just generally being a pleasant person. She can also be quite pessimistic, but then again, she doesn't give in easily when she sets her mind to things. She's used to being on her own and team work would be a much needed challenge for her. But people may lose patience with her sarcasm haha. I like character drama . * Any Ideas For the Project?: I'd love to do battle type quests. I'd really like there to be some sort of rift between whatever two or more characters and a bit of conflict there, and then those on the outside are in the middle or taking sides, you know? But thin I though maybe there could be something that will force them all to put away whatever it is they are fighting about and work together in order to survive. As soon as you mentioned a ship I got this idea of a huge, and devastating storm on the seas. Maybe that is what could force different people together. Hehe, I'll get more ideas later, you can count on that... most probably in the middle of the night when I should be sleeping xD Any Other Questions?: I'm sure i'll think of some later, but right now I've got nothing.

What About the Quest Motivates You?: I've been looking for something like this for awhile. This sounds like a great opportunity to make a PC with a purpose. I love being creative with others and being able to feel like I have a close-knit community connected to my character. Sometimes it's hard to find others to write with, and with this, it's like it's already laid out. It's exciting to think of new ideas that will actually go into effect with your characters!

Any Ideas For the Project?: Yeah, a bunch! I think with a Spiritism PC, a lot of things are possible. Encounters with ghosts, possibilities with Soulmist, posession! Vicalyn is also a fortune teller. I almost consider her as a psychic or prophet. There are many things that we could do.

Shyke, this sounds wonderful!

I was thinking exactly the same thing, about how character development works. I'm having a bit of a hard time to make Tatiam evolve by herself. She was mostly about interaction with other PCs, but her temperament and circumstances make it difficult. She was meant to be among a group of people, travelers, mercenaries, being part of the Knights, maybe, though I didn't decide on any of that yet. I'd rather have her around a few meaningful companions than have dozens of random encounters.

I was already considering to make another PC, as I tried to figure out if it was just my character design or my writing that made this problem or not... Perhaps I could use that alt for your project. Or Tatiam here, as long as it's after that quest on the Suvan.

Hey folks! I'm very happy to see so much interest, that's fantastic!

Sorry that I've been away for a few days, but I'm still very interested in getting the project off the ground. It looks like we have plenty of interest. Thank you all for taking the time to make such well considered responses to this post! You're the best.

I'm going to take a few more days to let people post their interest, and then I'll try to put up a rough timeline for moving things forward. Don't worry about your CS's not being complete or approved quite yet, it will still be a little while before we launch the project.

So, to recap in a few days I'll have a timeline for the project launch and a few starting ideas for the plot for folks to kick around, once we get things started I'll make a place to discuss plot points and get the ball rolling!
