The new arrival had startled Leila, so much so she'd nearly jumped. She saw that he was a dark purple, and quite intimidating looking. She knew what he was, an Akalak, from Riverfall. She'd never met one personally, but she'd heard about them. They were all supposed to be great warriors. Which made her even more worried for Ricky. She'd never seen him fight, nor was she even close to an authority on combat, but two on one would be hard for anyone. Leila could've run, could've tried to get more Wave Guards, but she didn't. Instead, she felt this desire to protect, to defend. Not to hurt those two, but to just keep Ricky from harm, for he was one she cared for. But she didn't know how. So she did the only thing she could do. She walked forward, and put herself between Ricky and the two strangers. "I'm... I'm sorry for panicking. I... I shouldn't have jumped to such a bold conclusion. Please forgive me, I don't want anyone to get hurt." Leila had never done anything so dangerous before, and was standing there, fidgeting, clutching one arm with the other. She'd never wanted to run so bad, to just go, but she needed to protect him. She didn't know how to look scary, or intimidating, like these people did, and they didn't even seem to be trying. "No one needs to be hurt, it... it was just a misunderstanding." |
