Appearance:
Lyrri is roughly 5'4" and weighs about 120lbs. Her hair is long and black with tints of orange; it is often braided or simply pulled back. Her eyes are at most times a bright yellow, but shift with her mood (as the eyes of the Vantha are wont to do). She is rather petite, even for her relatively short race, and is generally lacking in physical prowess.
Concept:
Lyrri Snowsong is the definition of a performer. Outspoken and cheerful, she tends to make theatrical gestures to accompany her every word. She loves to play music and tell tales, and has been known to spin wild and whimsical fantasies in her spare time for the enjoyment of others. Even so, this performing nature makes her rather stubborn, as well as confident to a fault; you'll find it's hard to convince her to open her mind when she's already formed an opinion. She's also known to grow sour when faced with dull conversations and even duller days. She enjoys music, folk tales, and festivals, and has an adventurer's heart; she wishes to wander the world and learn the stories of the life therein.
Considering herself a disciple of Rhaus, Lyrri believes above all else that people can control their own destiny. As such, she opposes the ideas of fate upheld by other gods and their disciples, and celebrates life and change as her god does. She also celebrates the power of music and oral tradition to move people and shape their feelings.
Character History:
Prior to the Spring of 513... Lyrri grew up in the Snowsong Hold of the wintery city of Avanthal. Her parents, choosing to abide by her wishes, did not marry her, and thus she retains the love of music so singularly treasured by her family; even so, her family sometimes regrets that their eldest daughter has chosen the life of an Icemaiden. At a young age she chose to worship Rhaus, the god of bards and music, and to dedicate her time to the pursuit of entertainment. At the age of 20, she and a few others risked the arduous journey to Syliras, a hub of human activity and growth; what better place to perform than the so-called heart of post-Valterrian civilization? Even so, she loves traveling and continuously longs for the open road (even if she’s not so well-equipped to handle the dangers!).
