Forming a Group in Syliras?

I didn't say an entire bandit organization, oh no, just a small group consisting of five to six grunts with one elite grunt and you would also be accompanied by one of the NPCs, a certain forest guardian. :D

But in the end. Sure, whatever you guys think are best. :)

Forming a Group in Syliras?

Postby Genryuu Senkou on July 17th, 2013, 7:28 am

Radiant has brought up a really interesting idea for all this, and I'm quite game for an adventure :D

However, grunts and maybe one elite grunt as it may be, it certainly would be to our benefit to train abit more in our skills of importance before the start of this adventure.

Wade and I have already been planning to train our weaponry and combat skills so far, but if anyone wishes to join us at the pit, let us know.

Radiant: I can't say for sure if we're ready to start the whole modded adventure just yet, but we'll be sure to inform you (or other moderators if you're busy) when we are. Thanks for the idea though :)

Forming a Group in Syliras?

Postby Sagitta on July 17th, 2013, 9:51 am

Hi there :D

I'm really interested with your ideas and would love to join. Sagitta will be arriving in Syliras soon. She mostly had skills that might be good for scouts and messengers - no, combat though. She would love to learn. Maybe I could join you in your training thread if it's alright. I hope you'll have me :)

Forming a Group in Syliras?

I honestly don't see why we can't start off with the bandits. It would be difficult, sure, but I'd like to have a little danger in my PC's life. Not every day you have the opportunity to fight bandits.

We could all have responded to a job set by the Knights or someone else to kill those bandits. It would give us a good starting point and a feasible reason that we have all gathered as a group. Once we've done that we would actually have credibility within the community as an official group. We can also avoid the awkward phase where we're all meeting each other and struggling to find something to do.

Sigriet would certainly be interested in joining as well! Though you could count her as being possibly the most unreliable member of the group. :)

Hey Sigriet, Shiyami, Sagitta and Ezequiel, you are all welcome to join. And anyone else too for that matter. The Order that I envision should embody the principle of being non-exclusive in terms of skill, for everyone has their own set of skills that can surely be put to good use. However, the only requirement is that members must be (in their own respective ways) setting out to help improve the lives of the people inside the city and out of it.

hahah... Well, Helping people with my skills and views... Hmm... I guess I can just help the people by making the bad people develop a phobia, or make them afraid of doing the things they like doing. such as stealing :P

Well simon, although your skill set may not be geared towards the most holy path... The Order (that will have to suffice as our group's name till someone comes up with a better one) espouses the idea that MOST skills are by nature neutrally-aligned, it depends on the user to determine how the skills are used.

For example, my charater Genryuu is a rather upright fellow, and he will only use his medical and martial skills to help treat the sick and defend the weak.

But given the same skill set in an unscrupulous fellow, he could use it to harvest organs, torture people and rely on his superior combat skills to bully and hurt the weak.

Long story short: Our order is out to do good deeds, but we believe that any skill set could be valuable towards that end, even the more... unorthodox skills. And unorthodox people :D
