Heya!
While a recent addition to Alvadas, I've done some developmental stuff with Mirage, which I think she was pretty happy with. I'd be happy to do developmental stuff from flora and fauna to NPCs with rewards or no. I think the perk points are kind fun, but sometimes the rewards kind of confused me with how they'd logically weave into my characters, if that makes sense. Alvadas seems like a really excellent place to write in, and it's all the more exciting I get to write under someone like you, Tap! Ever since I joined, I've been wanting to write with you someway/somehow, so I'm really excited that I have a chance to do so now!
Anyway, since I haven't actually been writing in the city, I'm not really one for knowing what it's lacking or could use to make it all that more interesting. As a lot of people have already say, I think mini-seasonal quests would probably be a better idea than those larger ones, but that darn necessity for everyone to be active in a thread makes things kinda messy story wise. One thing you could consider would be something like a synergy of solos with quest prompts? Maybe there's a larger city-wide puzzle, and each character has a piece of the puzzle, but with multiple pieces (so if someone isn't able to finish, it's not like someone else - NPC - couldn't figure it out and bring it to the table for a final thread). Just a thought on that, because there's a whole lotta potential for city-wide threads and mysteries!
I went and read through all the posts before, and everyone seems to have awesome ideas! Rowland's idea of a costume shop is brilliant, and Nyxie's tattoo parlor is cool, even if the ink won't be a permanent illusion. The costume shop could also sell temporary illusions? Morphing masks, etc, with Ionu's mark maybe?
Anyway, I'm excited to see what all everyone brings to Alvadas (and has been bringing). I'm glad I'm joining during this revamp-ish period, so I have a little input and get to learn the new stuff as the only stuff, haha.
Happy writing all!
And Tap, I'd love to do some plotting with you, and maybe a quest or modded thread when things are more manageable for you!
