Trading was something she was familiar with. But to trade twenty goldsworth of something, that was impossible. The only thing she had of real expense was her swords, and she would not let those go. But she'd be willing to trade something.
"Two hundred gold, and I will give you a pretty good lock and key." She called out, trying to think up a way to make it sound more spectacular than it was. "It's from Alvadas." She added, even though it was lame. She knew that metal was not easy to come across in Endrykas, and while she couldn't remember what price she had paid for it, she doubted it was all that much in Alvadas. "Metal, if you want it." She hooked a thumb back towards the city to show that she didn't have it with her. Tucking her left knee in, she gripped hte Yvas and turned bones back towards the city, glancing behind her to make sure that Drykas was going to follow her.
When he did turn around with her, Mayra thought about what exactly buying a pregnant horse entailed. "Do you think I can make it to Eyktol on Bones? With the foal?" She asked, suddenly worried. Once she got there, to her people, she would find help. But while she was on her own, she would be lost on what to do. Her area of birthing extended to dogs and cats. And her knowledge on foals was non-existant. So if this foal was born when she was on her own, there was no hope Dravite would get it back, even if she planned on coming back. "I can't take care of it until I get to my tribe." She admitted. She didn't have to say that if Bones wouldn't make it with the foal, he wouldn't be getting the foal back. That much was obvious to both parties.
Unless, of course, Bones wasnt due for a while. Mayra didn't know, but Dravite did. Perhaps his lack of worry meant she would be fine, but the halfbreed just wanted to make sure.
