As Shimoje might have mentioned, we now have a weekly writing prompt for Syka. The prompt is located in The Weekly Syka Prompt Thread. I thought we could discuss here how we incorporate writing prompts into our threads here in this chatter thread.

Note: In the Codex, we are going to be allowing Myrians and Dhani in Syka. However, there won't be any Myrian or Dhani themed politics allowed. You'll be cast out or killed if you bring your racial politics into the settlement. That is the compromise.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but if I wanted to deal with typical Myrian and Dhani mentalities and politics I would have opened Taloba or Zinrah, ya know?

Sounds like an interesting prompt! I'll be rolling some ideas around in my head to use it somewhere in my posts.

Also it will be interesting to interact with Myrians or Dhani, especially ones that might be sort of outcasts from their society, if that's even a thing!

As for politics, luckily Urkut isn't exactly the type. She's more of a "you mess with me I'll mess with you" type. Leave her alone and you're golden, Dhani or otherwise.

Hey Folks!

Just a little update. I took four days off around last weekend to celebrate a big birthday milestone for me. I'm back now but unfortunately since I had 4 days off piggybacked with a week off and a singular day off in the middle of last week to go fight a traffic ticket in court (I won!) my Miz time has been truncated. This week I will only have Thurs and Friday to get caught up on things while work puts me through the ringer getting caught up. I'm working Saturday too but as soon as I get off I'm going to be packing and heading to Seattle for a little overnight fun (meetups and more David Zyla stuff at The Ren).

I'll be home sometime Sunday afternoon and that's a bad day because I work Mon morning 1am through Christmas. That means I get home just in time to crash for some sleep. I'm sorry my schedule is so messed up this week! I promise it will be better and I'll be around to do some upgrades to RF and post some fun things. I'll try to make the best of Thurs and Friday. But if it was anything like today... I might come home and flat out pass out for three hours and get up in time to make dinner.

Anyhow. I am thinking of you and will make it up to you fine folks and the folks in Riverfall. Syka's had a bit more attention so I'm going to be focusing heavily on RF for a bit too so things are evened out. Posts on my moderated threads will come regularly in both locations.
