Early on the 5th Fall. Alvadas was softly sleeping. Although the merchants, shop-owners and traders were up and about, the general populace of Alvadas slumbered on. The morning was rosehip red blushing to peach in the centre of the sky and under this pleasant sunrise, two brothers strode through the city of illusion. If any were to watch them, their actions would soon become apparent. Sporadically upon doors, windows, walls, they were posting page-sized notices. Posters, of some kind. Upon closer inspection, the words would come into being on crisp, new paper- the words well-written in a cursive script and clear at that.

Dear Alvads, your quest sign-up information is here. As well as sign-ups, questions may be asked in this thread if required.
There are lots of different roles required. If you don't fall into any of them but would still like to partake, PM me and we can work out if you can or not.
Roles and their requirements:
- Scouts: Will be required to check the road ahead, making sure there are no obstructions or dangers such as Zith, wild animals and boulders/fallen trees.
Skills: Competent observation, stealth. Non-compulsory but advised: novice riding: horse. All scouts will be required to ride a horse, so if you cannot then you won't be applicable. - Mercenaries: When danger presents itself, these people will protect the less-able. They will also be required to hunt for food to feed the workers.
Skills: Competent weapon skill (inc. unarmed + brawling), observation. Novice hunting. - Labourers: For building the road, building the hut at the mine, and for clearing debris and any clearable obstructions.
Skills: No prerequisites, but no weakness or illnesses. - Medics: To heal or patch up any injuries obtained.
Skills: High competent in medicine. Novice riding. - Cart-drivers: For taking stones, building materials and people backwards and forwards between Alvadas and the quest party.
Skills: Novice/Competent driving skill. - Cooks: To make food for the workers.
Skills: Novice/Competent cooking skill.
I know that there might not be enough to fill every role with a PC. That's fine, I've listed everything so that people know what there is. Roles that aren't filled will be taken by NPCs.
Also, if you fit some of the prerequisites but not all, then you can go as a labourer/scout (for example). Your main job is the labourer but you can 'tag along' (at your own risk!) as a scout or cook. If you choose to do that, please make a note in the sign-up.
For this quest, there is going to be a moderated quest with whoever wants to join. And there will also be little events were PCs can self-mod a solo or collab with another player should they wish to. You can start these as soon as you like. If I see anything that is wrong or needs adjusting, I will let you know about it.
What we write in these quest threads determines the entire venture, from the start to the finish. Your solo threads will influence what happens to the road, the quest and the entire venture. Please feel free to be as adventurous as your PC can be.
Some small tidbits of information:
As was said very loosely in the calendar and throughout this post, the quest is a good half season of mostly road-building towards a mine which is going to be used by the city to provide metal. It is a new venture exposing an already part explored cave/mine that has been abandoned for a very long time. The two brothers, Yavos and Dranum are explorers. However, this is the furthest they've ventured into the Unforgiving, and they require a lot of help to achieve their goals. The road I've mentioned will be little more than a path, paved by stone that will be taken half from the surroundings and half from Alvadas. Any of you choosing to partake in this but don't want to be part of it for the whole time can travel back to Alvadas at any point- as long as you send someone back in your place. You'll of course not get the full cash prize, and might miss out on stuff. Please PM me if you're thinking of doing this.
