Postby Anikah Abberley on April 22nd, 2012, 3:13 am

30th Day of Spring, 512 AV

Anikah liked the idea of a city with no gates. It was the main reason she had decided to move here from Sunberth after all. The time she spent traveling wasn't as exciting and adventurous as she had thought, it had been a struggle just to find enough food to get by.
Moving from the mountain pass into the city she readjusted her bag on her back, studying the first of the buildings carefully.
People of all race rushed by, busily going about their day's work.
Sliding her hands into her pockets Anikah set forth, eager to acquaint herself with the city, and the pockets of its inhabitants.

53th Day of Spring, 512

Sirrus had forgotten what it was like in Zeltiva. Being gone for 2 years can do that to someone. He had been training in the wilderness, learning to hunt. As soon as he stepped foot on Zeltiva, he felt at home. He looked through his bag to see if he had enough mizas for a room at the inn, and set forth, to rejoin his old community. He smiled as he left the docks, and headed forward, into the city.

59th Day of Spring, 512 AV

Having spent the majority of the trip to Zeltiva bent over the side of the boat, Kaeson wasn't exactly happy. He couldn't help but silently curse the merchant who had convinced him to buy the supposed seasick preventive, which for all he could tell had made the trip even worse. It didn't help that the crew had been using him as their source of amusement for the majority of the trip, and any comeback he tried to say was quickly silenced by his constant vomiting.
He couldn't help but wonder why he ever decided to come by boat, but then remembered that a trip on foot would've been not only long but extremely dangerous as well.
As he saw Zentiva growing larger in the distant, he prayed to any god that would listen that his trip to Zentiva wouldn't serve as any kind of indication of what was to come in the time that he would be living here.

[Zeltiva Entrance] The Rolling Waves

Postby Satevis on April 30th, 2012, 1:07 am

17th of Spring, 512 AV

The sun was high in the sky when Satevis reached Zeltiva. The young man smiled slightly, taking a moment to look in at the city. It had been a bit of a walk from Syliras, but he had managed to cover a lot of ground in the night, when he shed his mortal seeming and took on his Ethaefal form. He vaguely registered that he was tired--he had been walking for most of the morning as a Benshira--but although the tiredness was slightly discomfiting, it didn't bother him too much. In his past life, he had been a nomad. This current life of wandering and study was not what he had had, but it was bearable.

And so I return... he thought to himself.

It had been off the coast of Zeltira that he had first appeared, five years ago. He had spent his time since then wandering from town to town, visiting his former homeland of Yahebah and then traveling into Lhavit and beginning his studies of magic. Now, he had returned to Zeltira. Satevis always found himself drawn to places of learning, and if he was forced to walk the earth again, he saw no reason why he couldn't spend this new life studying. He pulled his pack higher up on his back, walking down the pass and into the city.

He would need to eat, he realized. His mortal form was hungry from the day's travels, and he wasn't in the mood to wait until nightfall to be sustained. Once he had found food, he would head off to the university. Lodging could wait. He slept little, and only rented rooms when he was certain he would be staying somewhere for an extended period of time, because it was convenient to have somewhere to leave one's things.

His list of errands in mind, Satevis entered Zeltira.

There was an ominous tinge in the air as Rio's body was swept onto the small sandy shore next to Zeltiva.

[Zeltiva Entrance] The Rolling Waves

Postby Wrenmae on May 3rd, 2012, 8:49 pm

85th of Spring, 512 AV

The creak and groan of masts and sails assailed the damaged docks, the tar-stained SunSpot, sliding into port. Aboard, occupants sighed their praises of the port city, the industry of the busy citizens...a fresh breath from the barely controlled anarchy of Sunberth. Among them, a handsome face beheld the sunburned dockworkers mooring the floating hulk to the docks.

A wooden clatter of the ramp would follow soon, and as one the passengers would stream into the city, lost among the colors. They were already different, the arrivals. Zeltiva practically gleamed with the spirit of progress. Clean streets, austere architecture rising up against the skyline like shapely fangs. Smiles were never far from the faces and they walked without the inevitable suspicion of being stabbed in the back.

Yes, this place was different.

And just like that, Shroud was gone, trapped away in his little box behind the wondering eyes of Wrenmae Sek.

Wrenmae...who had just woken up to find himself somewhere different.

He trembled, his eyes scattering along the deck and the city, confused, terrified. His gear was near him, his long daggers strapped to his side. Shuddering, feeling the cracks of sanity along his mind almost curl into a sardonic smile.

Who was he? What day was it? How long was he not himself?

And with these questions screaming in his skull, the young mage stepped out into the streets of Zeltiva.

And the Blight followed with him.

This PC has the Blight gnosis. As such, you as a player need to be aware of what that consists of. Wrenmae has an invisible aura that amplifies sickness and disease. Wounds may become infected, small sneezes may become coughing, and a slight fever may become more serious. A nuit's body will also break down faster in the presence of the Blight. These effects may not be immediate, but within the few days following your encounter, the symptoms will manifest. Some sooner than others. I cannot control your character, so creativity will be left up to you. Best wishes and stay healthy!

Special shoutout to Fallon for my new CS

[Zeltiva Entrance] The Rolling Waves

Postby Yvera on May 5th, 2012, 12:52 am

82nd Day of Spring, 512 AV

Yvera looked at the city that stretched out before her. Zeltiva. She sighed deeply. After traveling all the way from Syliras, she was so tired she felt as if she could just lie down and go to sleep right on the pass. She had a couple of close calls during her travels. Twice, she ran out of food. Twice. She was lucky to have made it here alive!

The more she looked at the city, the more the purple started replacing the brown in her eyes. Somewhere in there, her family was waiting for her. She smiled as she thought of her older brother, probably complaining about her getting lost.

With renewed energy, she began down the path again.

But what if...

[Zeltiva Entrance] The Rolling Waves

Postby Minx on May 7th, 2012, 7:27 pm

Minx leapt onto the boulder lightly, the impact barely making a noise at all. She heard the waves crashing against the shore, the salty smell filled her nostrils. Minx swept her black hair behind her shoulder and sighed, her bright hazel eyes reflected the suns glare as she inspected the city before her. Minx gaze a huff and shifted into her Panther form, quickly bounding up the hill before glancing around, her tail flicking behind her as she stood, head high, taking in the surroundings. Minx slipped into the shadows, completely hidden as she shifted back to human form.
"Here we go." she muttered, she took another deep breath, flinging her hair behind her shoulder with a dainty, yet strong, hand. She shifted her shirt gently, and began to casually stroll up to Zeltiva. The breeze caused her hair to swirl behind her as she walked, her footsteps silent, her eyes flickering cautiously around her.
"I wonder if theres others." she murmured outloud, as she leapt on top of a boulder, and down the other side, instead of walking around it. Minx shrugged to herself, "I doubt it." she muttered, being her negative self. She felt bare without her old bow and Sword, but she couldn't have brought them, that would mean that she would have had to travel in human form... but she is much more natural in her animal form. Her ears tuned in around her, and she heard the quiet hum of the city.
"People" she muttered, not too excited about being part of the crowds.. yet again. Minx approached the path into the city and took another deep breath, striding in, her hair covering most of her face. She looked at the sky 'wish me luck' she silently willed her parents, as she faced her fears.

[Zeltiva Entrance] The Rolling Waves

Postby Marin on May 10th, 2012, 4:04 am

87th Day of Spring, 512 AV

Marin had finally finished the climb to the mountain pass. It had been a long day, even if only traveling with what little belongings he had. The glorious sun shown through the tall grasses, as Marin stepped out into the middle of the pass. “Boy is it beautiful...”
Marin looked down upon the city of Zeltiva. It was one of the many times he had seen it. The crooked streets always seemed welcoming enough. As marin started to descend into the city, the sun slowly sank in the sky. The day had almost finished, and Marin was almost to his home.

[Zeltiva Entrance] The Rolling Waves

Postby Zerren Verre on May 17th, 2012, 12:07 am

85th day of spring, 512 AV

Zerren silently threaded his way down the slopes of the mountain towards Zeltiva after hunting for rabbits. He was in panther form and carried his clothing in his mouth because it was faster than travelling in human form, even if his clothes got a slight bit damp in the process.
I'm getting close to the city now, probably best to change back.

Zerren set down his clothes and stepped back a pace or two, checking above him to make sure there were no low hanging branches. Seeing none, he concentrated for a moment and flashed over to his human form. Quickly, he pulled his pants, shirt, and boots out of the bag and slipped into them. He put on his pack and finished the hike to the edge of the forest on two feet, rather than four. He reached the edge of the forest and there, sprawled out below him, was Zeltiva.

He had seen its streets and alleys from this angle many times, but he still took a moment to take in it's unique beauty.
It isn't as quiet as the forest, but it's safe and it's home. Quickly but carefully, he threaded his way down the final slopes and walked back into town.
