I’m glad that your mother made it through the surgery, Gossamer. My own mother was diagnosed with a different kind of cancer last year (she is currently cancer-free!), so I can relate to some of the things you are going through. If anybody complains because you care more about a sick family member than about them, let me know, and I’ll go and deal with them. And if you need any help on Mizahar, also let me know.

Glad she came out of it awesomely! It's always scary when family or even friends have to have surgery. Well wishes to a swift recovery for her now that what sounds like the biggest is over.

[Gossamer's Scrapbook] The Ethereal Canyon

.
THANK YOU
For all the well wishes for my mom.

She's back home now, spry, and I can't hardly believe it. She got a palm sized.. litterally... a palm sized chunk of cheek taken out the size of my hand and you can't hardly tell. She doesn't even have much bruising. All she has is a line of tape around from beneath her ear up across under her eye and down to her nose and lips. Even the tissue they cut off, rotated, and reconstructed her face with wasn't anything special in terms of looking yuck. There are a couple of bruises that look like fingerprints, and the rest of her face on that side looks like she was dusted with a deep blue matte eyeshadow lightly. Her arms where they put the iv's in and did the shots etc are covered with bruises and look bad, but not her face. Her face looks awesome.

Her doctor said she would be bruised, swollen, not able to blink, maybe not able to talk or smile... and omg she's nothing like that. Even the doctor is shocked. He came by twice yesterday to admire how good she looked. She didn't have any loss of anything, no issues blinking or seeing (there was a risk of loosing her eye), smelling, wrinkling her nose, whistling, etc. She's FINE. She's more than fine. She's awesome. I'm so happy and you guys don't know the weight that's off my shoulders now that this is behind us.

They injected radioactive isotopes into the space to see where it drained. After sitting two hours and going through two nuclear medicine techs, mom scanned clean in all her lymph nodes too that drain that section of face.. no nuclear particles, so they left them in tact. Thus she didn't get her neck cut open, probed, and big chunks of flesh taken out there. So she's up and about, resting, but talking, watching TV, etc.

I'm so happy and this is such a relief. But thanks everyone for the understanding and the well wishes. I am convinced enough people thought good thoughts her way and that lead to her having a very very easy time with this surgery.

Awesome to hear, Jen!

Glad this weight is off your shoulders and things turned out for the best.

This PC has the Blight gnosis. As such, you as a player need to be aware of what that consists of. Wrenmae has an invisible aura that amplifies sickness and disease. Wounds may become infected, small sneezes may become coughing, and a slight fever may become more serious. A nuit's body will also break down faster in the presence of the Blight. These effects may not be immediate, but within the few days following your encounter, the symptoms will manifest. Some sooner than others. I cannot control your character, so creativity will be left up to you. Best wishes and stay healthy!

Special shoutout to Fallon for my new CS

That's amazing Goss! I'm glad everything turned out so perfectly! It could have been a lot worse, from what you've said... but it didn't, which is just... great... :D
