Hello everyone! As you can see I registered only a moment ago, but I had been spending some time already reading and studying Mizahars lore. I would love to start in Ravok, so, before I make my CS, I wanted to ask few questions, that I think you can help me.
First, does only slaves work in House of Immortal Pleasures as...khm...you know what I mean and can you start playing as a citizen of Ravok or you need to start as a visitor?

Hey, Markus! Welcome to Ravok!
The House of Immortal Pleasures... to be honest I'm not positively sure, it my guess is that it could have free women and slaves as whores. Prostitution is a career that some PCs take as free peoples so our little pleasure house is probably no different. Yes, you can start as a citizen in Ravok if that's what you want, of course. If your PC was born in the city, he would have automatically been given citizenship. But if you want to start as a visitor that's cool too (though it's a pretty dangerous time to be a visitor here!)

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to post them here, alternatively, you can PM me or Abstract and we will answer as soon as we can. Also there is a Chat here, and most all players are happy to help out new players, so that's a good way to get answers quickly. Good luck!

Ino - I don't even... what is that? Also, have you started GMing yet, or still doing battle with the book itself? Killed any characters?! I was once playing a Tiefling in a D&D game and the DM screwed me over half way through and announced that my character was damned, as her parents were human and had sold her soul when she was a child... it actually ended up that the DM and I did private sessions, because he loved playing the Devil NPC and... well... it was the most shocking turn around when she was pulled into that dimension to witness her fate. But that's all irrelevant.. I just think it's a cool story and I know how you like intrigue and betrayal by ST/GMs..

Cald - erm... that's Absy's baby and should probably share such details. But remember that rumours are rumours... there could be some about a giant octopus/kraken, or some about something akin to sea dinosaurs. Think of the Loch Ness - people saw what they wanted to see. But I'll let her answer that question properly for you

I came in expecting to propose an idea, but then I realized perhaps it would be easier to simply ask about it first:

Why isn't the Southern Outpost more than just a loose collection of tents and buildings? As the gateway to a city 4 hours away, and the main source of all incoming wares and resources, I would have expected it to have grown into its own settlement a long time ago, like an extension of Ravok itself.

What keeps it from doing that?

Please let the best answer not be "because the wilds are dangerous."

So this new girl at the cat house, can we get some details on how she looks? Also the end of summer party thing will there be just one giant thread for everyone or do we just make our own.(A citywide thread sounds super fun to me. But that's just me.)

Ravokians!

I am so, so sorry for my lack of activity this month. Exams are growing ever closer, though after next Thursday I should be pretty free! NaJu has also sapped up all my usual time, when I... actually bother to write things (I haven't for three days. I really need to.)

Thank you to Nemesis and Cat for getting a bit of grading done, and for just being awesome in general. Heads up, we're working on a huge development revamp (for your development, not ours quite yet XD) so expect some changes! This will include templates. The one problem with the current developments at the moment is the fact that, format wise, they're all over the place.

Please be patient with me! I'll try to focus more on my mod stuff, as I have been drifting off a little recently, and it's something I need to fix. On everything, really.

EDIT: Questions! Right. You two had questions. I'm not sure what you mean by 'Cat girl', Dolce. As for the end-of season celebrations... feel free to do what you want with that. I don't have anything planned.

As to Elias, you have a good point there. I don't think it really would be the 'wilds are dangerous' thing. I guess part of the point is that most people who stay at the lakeshore stay there temporarily. All of the goods are in the city. There's a tavern or two for hunters/visitors to stay a few nights, a market for general use, though it's a small one. I see it as a very, very small village, with almost no permanent residents other than the ones who run businesses. The stuff is more scattered, from the distillery to farms. Workers come from the main city in maybe two-three day shifts, food and board worked out with their employers during that time. Everything is centralized in Ravok, and people don't like leaving, and staying at the Lakeshore means you're drawn away from everything else.

It's kind of a crazy explanation. Make any sense?
