Continuation

It had been a long, arduous journey to get to the central meeting area. The people traveling had been informed by Rõfus that they’d arrived at their destination; A simple vacant field not too far from the main road. Trees lined the northern and western side blocking most of the winds of the north. The sun was beginning to dip behind the trees, so no one dawdled. Despite being tired from the long travel, they knew they still had the last amount of work left to get set up for the evening before everyone could relax.

Some gathered their horses and the small nearby stream, while others began to erect the few simple tents and prepare for the evening meal. Children that wandered nearby, not too far from their hovering mothers, in search of wild fruit, vegetables, and herbs.

Men began to set up the temporary sleeping quarters. Heavy canvas was hauled from the back of one of the wagons and laid next to the worn wooden poles being pounded into the soft fertile soil. Calling and hollering could be heard from the men across the field as they counted off the swings. The thick material was then hoisted over the bracing. A tall, sturdy pole was then taken into the center, propping the heart of the tent to give headspace. Large hand woven carpets with intricate ivy designs were laid over the dirt and spotty grasses. Cots were propped along the walls and a simple, folded table placed next to the center pole. Someone set oil lanterns in the middle of the tents, one even accompanied by handpicked flowers courtesy of one of the smaller children.

Everyone else that was left worked to arrange the goods, wares, and items that had been hauled out so the clansmen could see what was available to trade. The caravan was not a small one, and no expense was spared, this was a vital trip to ensure that Syliras had the needed materials to make it through the next year. The pride that the people had in their hard work showed as they moved the pieces that had shifted in the trip back into their rightful spots.

The shine of the copper and bronze metals caught Syna’s rays, the ting of the metal reverberated as they moved back into place. Raw materials had been gathered together alongside the vast amount of crafted. Not everyone needed specified items, and that was something that Röfus hadn’t been informed of, but instead took it upon himself to ensure came with them.

Once finished with the task of setting up camp everyone prepared to enjoy themselves around a rather large fire. It was fixed in the middle of where the caravans had stopped. Each wagon followed the other until they’d formed a ring, mostly for protection. Now, while they enjoyed filling their bellies with a hearty meal, they waited for the Clans.

"Are we there yet?"

"YES NOW STOP BOTHERING ME!"

Garland hopped off his horse and stretched his legs. The entire journey was tiresome, but it wasn't exactly boring, getting out of Syliras was a good idea, it cleared his head a bit, still he was worried about home.

Everyone was just getting ready to trade, setting up tents and such, setting out the supplies too. Garland brought some money along just in case something caught his eye, 50 gold, nothing more nothing less.

The few guards started helping with setting up tents and the like, Garland was busy walking around the perimeter making sure no one was waiting to ambush them. Garland's time with the knights made him very practical in the wilds, or at least very cautious.

The light from Syna was quickly sinking down below the trees, and Garland came back to the camp. "I never liked sleeping out in the woods." Garland muttered to himself and looked over to the scream, keeping a close eye to the horses and a few kids splashing, and playing on the bank of the stream.

Garland led Tryn to the water and let the horse drink while kept an eye out on the surroundings, he kept his ears open, listening for anything out of the ordinary.

After Tryn was done drinking, Garland and a few others came back from the river with the horses. The camp was set up, and night was falling quickly. Garland had refilled his waterskin, along with a few others and saw that most of the merchants were busy taking inventory. The other guards were either getting an early rest for their guard shifts later or busy making sure everything was alright.

After tying Tryn to a tree with the other horses, Garland sat down by the fire, just relaxing for a spell.

Azmere and his companions had arrived before the Sylirans. Rather than make a big show of their presence, the archer instructed Sparrow and Aiyena to take turns in the web to keep an eye out for their friends but also dangers. His fingers bent into the signs for switching and webbing. He then pointed at each of them. Sparrow nodded and Aiyena rolled her eyes. Azmere just shook his head. Even though he was fairly new at it, being an ankal meant taking charge and when he was placed as a scout, the scarred man wasn’t going to leave decision making to chance. The young woman nudged Sparrow as the man began to sink down into the comfort of the tall grasses. She signed that she was going to go first and promptly nestled herself down for a webnap.

The darker skinned warrior grumbled but sat and moved to be closer to Azmere. The contrasting gaze of the Diamond clansmen peered just over the grasses as they swayed in the late summer breeze. His right hand rested between the ears of Grey had laid down on his belly beside his master. The dog was completely content as long as there was some kind of physical contact. He was purchased as a hunting companion but Azmere and Grey had developed a more personal relationship and the innate obedience of the canine had easily endeared him to the watchman. Azmere looked over at Sparrow and the two discussed many different things including a young doctor that Sparrow was interested in but too shy to pursue. The ankal teased him mercilessly for nearly a bell before the first sounds of a caravan perked the ears of the dog.

Azmere felt this twitch and pulled his feet up underneath him then rocked forth to transfer his weight from his bum. With a surge of adrenaline and will, he arched his back and flexed the muscles in his legs. This allowed him to slowly rise from the ground with a controlled display of strength. The man never stood completely upright, though, and chose to extend his form into a hunched stance instead. The tactic allowed him to remain within the moving cover of the grasses but gave him a higher line of sight that swept out past the plains and onto the road. The starbursts were partially restricted as the flash of Syna caused his eyelids to squint against her rays. At the edge of his vision rumbled a slow moving line of carts, horses and men; the knights and their merchants.

Sparrow joined Azmere and the men watched as the sounds and sights of the castle dwellers drew nigh. Sparrow glanced back at the resting form of Aiyena and felt a bit worried. His expression revealed this when he tapped his friend on the shoulder. The bright blue eyes filled with a slow panic as his big hands signed his concerns. The ankal put his hand on top of Sparrow’s shoulder as a comfort. The scarred face was calm but not cold or uncaring. He then returned a series of signs back to the younger man. [i]No worries. Scouting. Nosey.” Both men shared a quiet chuckle and looked back at the arriving column of goods and people.

Shortly after, Aiyena returned and shared some useful information about what was in the wagons as well as the condition of those who protected it. Azmere had a shopping list for the first time that he could ever remember. It was one of the small things involved in being in charge; one had to make sure his flock was properly cared for. Now that Eagle was once again whole, they went back and reported to Aris and the other Tavekhs of their findings. The small man was wise beyond his years and also savvier than most.

“Let’s give them time to set up. It will allow the knights to feel superior that they arrived and made camp before us.” Aris chuckled and nudged Sparrow. “Then we’ll show up and pitch camp in a third of the time and take ‘em down a peg.” His fingers signed harmless fun and good times. Then, as if he could read the minds of his crew, he turned to Azmere. “What’s our best approach, Azmere?”

The scarred face reacted in a widening of eyes and his mouth popping open but the ankal quickly removed the shock from his expression. Aris was his superior but he was asking for advice. Perhaps it was a test. The ankal considered a moment but never let his stance or gaze waiver from Aris. He bent his fingers into two signs; slow then calm. “We don’t want to spook them by riding in hard. Also, a gentle entrance could soften their resolve with our people which could lead to better deals.” Confident in his answer, the archer gave a nod when he was finished speaking. Ever the teacher, Aris, did not move or alter his expression in any way for nearly two chimes. Neither did anyone else. After this awkward silence, he finally moved and gave Azmere a swat on the arm.

“Good plan, son.” He signed to the other tavekhs asking for their approval and they agreed. Aris then looked to Azmere once more. “Make it so.”

The new ankal nodded and turned first to Sparrow. His hands moved quickly but made clear signs. Ride the line. “Let everyone know to be ready.” Sparrow nodded and the scarred face turned to Aiyena. He signed that she was needed to fetch someone. “Amunet, healer, red head.” The little scout knew of the healer and the description was more for a refresher. Aiyena was quickly mounting and riding the line in search of her quarry. Aris signed a question behind this and Azmere smiled his crooked smile. “Everyone trusts healers.” The tavekh nodded and went to get his things. Azmere gave orders to several other to help the animal traders while the rest should find ways to make themselves useful and then fall in line next to the carts. Once everyone was moving and doing as they ad been commanded, Aris rode up to his watchman while the archer was adjusting his yvas bags.

“The healer and the other Tavekhs will ride first. I want you to ride tail with me.” Aris smiled and turned his strider then made for the end of the convoy. Azmere mounted up and turned Skylla in the same direction. He clicked his tongue against the back of his teeth twice then trotted away. The short call perked the ears of Grey who came running up alongside the young mare. It wasn’t long until Azmere was behind everyone observing the ordered chaos as the Drykas prepared to move out. The order was given and the wagons jerked to life as everything crept forward. Aris and Azmere exchanged glances then rode forth as well.

The Sylirans would see the line of riders at the front come slowly over a rise. As they descended into the meeting area, wagons, horses and plenty of livestock would crest the same small hill and wind down alongside and around part of the already existing camp. Two riders remained atop the hill to watch as the Drykas dismounted their horses and wagons then furiously set up camp in less than a bell. Tents were pitched, stalls were assembled and goods were out on display. There wasn’t a great deal of people but the horseclans were well represented with a flurry of all seven of the clan colors as well as a variety of goods. The ring of Sylirans was covered halfway by an arc of Drykas and it reminded Azmere of an old story involving the lovers in the sky. He smiled to himself and considered this a good omen. As he and Aris continued to watch the progress of their people, the scarred man offered a prayer to the gods.

“Zulrav, Father of Storms, bless us with fair winds.
Mother Semele, let the comfort of your skin calm our spirits.
Lord Yahal, let your golden spear stay the forces of evil so good men of pure faith may prevail here. Should you see fit to test your servant, search my heart and see that I am ready. With your strength, I am unbreakable.”

Postby Amunet on August 29th, 2016, 12:21 am

Word had it they were getting closer to the trade meeting place. That morning, early to rise, the little red head dressed up a little bit more than usual. She took out a grooming kit she had purchased before the trip. It had come to her attention that she did need to pay attention to her appearance from time to time. It also made her feel better when she was looking her best. The young lady had to admit there was a certain uplifting and almost healing moment when you are clean and well presented. One of the women provided a basin as she sponged bathe with a hand cloth and scented soap from the grooming kit. She scrubbed at her face, neck and upper torso. She wrung out the rag and changed the water for fresh.

Places that gathered odor and moisture were also washed by the lantern light of the early morning. Syna’s rays were just peeking through as she was looking at the cream that was part of the kit. There was a sigh as she opened it and sniffed it experimentally. The words said moisturizer? Those red eyebrows went to her hairline as she took a dab of the cream and put it on the outside of her hand. The girl rubbed it in and was surprised to see how it sunk into the skin. It was like medicine but not at the same time. Her skin felt softer there too. “Huh?” She placed a small bit of this on her cheeks and face, down her throat. Amunet took time to do this with her shoulders, chest area and as much of the back she could. While rubbing her hands to smooth over the cream along her hands and forearms she reached for her camisole and short nickers. The new white linen blouse was pulled out as she put it on.

She frowned at the camisole strands showing. This wouldn’t do. Off went the top and off went the camisole. She put the blouse back on and craned her neck around as the edge dropped off of one shoulder. She dropped the other shoulder and tied the bit of lacing in the front. The lace trim on the sleeves flowed elegantly over her hand. She dressed in her brown leather pants and belted the ensemble. The boots were stomped into as she turned this way and that to see how everything moved. She wanted this all done before she tackled her hair.

Out came the wide toothed comb, finer toothed comb and brush. The long red hair was flowing about her loosely as she sat outside her tent to start brushing it out. Men had no idea how long this took. They may not want to know as the results often were flattering. Still it was a chore and an arm work out. She learned long ago that you had to start at the bottom. If you had tangles at the middle and at the bottom, you make it worse if you try to pull it through. You end up breaking hair needlessly as well. The right side was done first as it took a good five chimes to brush the ends out, then move up the mass of length of that side and the underside. Placing that section to the front to take the next section she continued. This was so much easier with a pavilion. One of the wives of one of the clans who was up early watched her struggle with the hair and came over to pitch in. It was beautiful long red hair.

They spoke of the coming trades and other things as they both worked on the hair till it was brushed in smooth waves and shining. There was additional shine added as the lady assisted Amunet in putting an oil lightly through her hair. This was combed in first with the large toothed comb and then with the finer toothed comb. They discussed braiding at that point. Amunet relayed to her that she usually just does one braid on each side and tie off to the back. The diamond clan wife shook her head and said that this was a special circumstance. They settled on three braids on each side and then flowing to the back to braid down. The rest of the bulk of her hair was loose and free to flow down her back. This took a good bell to accomplish. The woman held up a mirror to her to show her how she looked and Amunet softly gasped as the white, the red hair and her fair complexion all came together in a luminous beauty.

The Healer thanked the woman as Amunet fetched from a smaller pouch as a silver chain with a holy symbol of Rak’keli was on it. She placed this about her neck. The symbol would sit nicely centered on her breast bone a half inch to an inch above her cleavage. Her attention turned towards her Strider. Today she would ride Shetanae. The girl stood on an upturned bucket to start brushing the dark dun mare out. The mare’s summer coat was shining in the morning light as in 30 chimes of brushing brought the sheen out of the mare. Her mane and tail combed out as well. Drak had roused from his bedroll as the two quickly had assembled their tent and belongings and packed on the Striders. It was at that time that a short lady came up to tell her that Azmere and the other watchmen wanted her up to the front.

Her brow furrowed in curiosity as she was told by Aiyena who she was and that she was told to get her and that was all to the order. The girl shrugged and then advised Aiyena to give her the few chimes needed to finish getting it together. She tacked both Striders and checked their camp area to make sure that nothing was left behind. Patting her thigh a light gold long haired dog was at her left. It didn’t take long for the young hunting cat Leia to be at her right. With Drak on Toite and settled in the middle with a good family group, the Healer went forward with the dog running on the left and the cat running on the right. The loping canter brought them towards the watchmen as Aiyena lead them there. She saw Azmere as she gave a formal like nod towards the young Ankal as well as the same formal bow of the head towards Aris.

She listened to the explanation of the ride out in front to greet the Sylirian contingent as the bulk of the caravan would come forward behind them. Her eyes would look to Azmere and Aris both as she listened to the instructions. It didn’t take a lot of explanation for her to figure out the reasoning for this presentation. You don’t send a Healer out front if you come for confrontation. That little knee competently placed pressure on the side as the tall dark dun mare turned to head towards the front. Amunet found herself flanked by the other Tavehks. Her golden Silkena was to her left and her hunting cat was to her right.

It was a sight to behold as they cantered in a line in front of the caravan. The ride up the rise of this particular hill was not nearly as dramatic as the line of Drykas boiled over in powerful, yet graceful canter. The Sylirians would see fully armed Drykas men and in the center on a tall dark mare, the grace and mercy of Endrykas rode effortlessly to meet them. Her red hair flowed behind her like a banner for the Drykas as a whole in representation of the indomitable spirit of the Horse Clans as they road down the rise and stopped just beyond it. The young Healer got a good look at the Sylirian encampment and their greeting party as the caravan came boiling up in mass from the rise behind them. As the Drykas side of the Trade Caravan efficiently set up their half of the circle they created, Amunet sat on her Strider as she smiled at those that approach gently.

The girl dismounted smoothly and carefully as Shetanae was right at her elbow and her other two companions flanked her. The halterless horse was well trained and eyed those approaching with as much curiosity as regarding them for anything untoward her little rider. The hand signal for Camile to sit was given as the silken golden hunting dog sat at her left, Leia, her hunting cat sat primly at her right. Any of the Sylirian that came up to meet the Drykas would get a bow of the head and a soft greeting with a slight lilting accent in common.

“Pleasure to meet you; I am Amunet Shimmerstone, Healer of Endrykas. Blessing of Rak’keli and Zulrav be upon you. “

Ferrin disembarked Cyprus and decided to leave him be, knowing that the stallion would rather to rest than wander off anywhere. With the thought of setting up camp in mind with the others, the Kenashian decided to assist the caravan with setting up all of their wares for sale. Once organized, Ferrin walked back over to Jade, Dina, and their horses.

"I can set up our tent, so we can be ready for the night and perhaps Dina could rest comfortably. We can perhaps see what the Drykas have for trading?" Asked Ferrin over to Jade. Surely she'll might want to visit her fellow Drykas people.

Ferrin strolled back to Cyprus, the horse neighed and rubbed it's wet nose into Ferrins palm. "Good boy." Ferrin chimed and took hold of his reins to tie him over by a tree. It only took about a chime before Ferrin met Jade once again at the tent. She seemed to have gotten the little Vantha to slumber. Good.

"You ready love, let's go see what they have?" Ferrin placed his longbow within the tent along with his quiver. He still had his shield, and Clivath was belted to his waist. Once they've gathered around Amunet, she greeted herself as the healer of Endrykas, and marked by Ra'Keli. Ferrin nodded as he held to Jade's hand. A sense of nervousness struck him.

"Ferrin. Ferrin Al'Mandrikan, it's a pleasure to meet you. This is Jade Laken. I'm a Squire of The Order." He assured Amunet with a nod. Maybe this won't turn out so bad after all?

"With a heart of steel, I raise my blade in combat. The only thoughts I have in my mind is whether I'd return home to my family. I am a soldier, and will fight for love and peace. That is the way of being a Syliran Knight"-Ferrin.

DATE, YEAR, LOCATION

Jade smiled and talked to Dina as they rode. The child was ready to get off of Diria's back for the day. Holding her close the blonde let the soft movements calm the child into a sleepy state. Looking over when the call was made to circle up the girl figured they were done traveling for the day. Keeping the little one situated the blonde slid down and took Dina down. Putting her on the ground the child ran ahead ready to stretch her legs and play for a bit. Leading Diria over to the side the woman took the two sleeping bags off the yvas. Walking over to a good spot the girl hummed and helped him set the tent up. Crawling in the woman grabbed the bags and put them in place. Coming back out Jade found Dina almost asleep on the ground with flowers in her hand. With a soft smile the girl knelt down picking up the child.

“Bed time sweet girl,” Jade said with a soft smile.

“Nooooo, not yet,” Dina whined yawning closing her eyes gently.

Jade smiled and entered the tent closing the flaps. Rocking her the girl finally passed out in the elder's arm. Opening the sleeping bag the blonde put the girl under her blank. Quietly exiting the woman smiled seeing Ferrin once more.

“Yep, Dina is out like a light as well,” she said walking with him.

The blonde walked with him taking his hand as the group got close. She was happy to see her people once again. Looking at the young woman when she got down and walked over introducing herself.

“Hello to you as well,” Jade said and signed welcoming to the rest of the Drykas, “it is good to see so many again.”

The blonde looked to her making sure to help Ferrin stay calm.

Garland watched the growing line of Drykas and horsemen. Their horses were impressive and by the looks of it so were the soldiers or whatever they were called.

Garland was content to let sit by the fire while the caravan master do the talking, he was no good at negotiations.

As Garland was about to sit down, he saw two people walk up to someone from the Drykas side of the trade. At first Garland thought it was the caravan master ready to set up a trade.

Nope it was Ferrin and Family. Garland wasn't worried that Ferrin would cause an incident, he was worried that Ferrin's niceness would make them look weak and they would raise the prices of their wares, which the caravan master would not like.

Garland stepped up from the campfire and walked over to the group. "Hello." Garland said and tried to look intimidating, but he was rather short and tired. He was better at intimidating through action rather than looking it.

In the light morning sun, Garland was just a tired sleepy man, being up most of the night on watch.

"Right, you must the representative for the trade. Should we get started?" Garland looked over to the stalls as people were starting to set up what they plan to trade.

"Garland's the name. Nice to meet you. You should talk with the caravan master, we're just the guards here, in fact I think Ferrin and family might be looking to buy some things. Also I want to look at your wares if that's alright, but it would be best to speak with the caravan first."

Garland had been averting his gaze at Amunet, she was like a goddess in terms of beauty, but his heart was reserved. He looked at the back, the line of horsemen just looking, he doubted that all of those were guards or soldiers, but the wilds are a dangerous place, maybe their merchants also know how to handle a blade.

"Well, Amunet was it? It is a pleasure to meet you." Garland tried to be intimidating, but it didn't mean he had to be rude. Although trying to look intimidating was rather hard for him, he was short compared to others and his puffed out chest just made him look silly.

Aris laughed and swatted Azmere on the shoulder. The smaller man had taken a bit of a liking to his underling even though they got off to a rough start. Azmere turned with a semi-serious expression on his face. He had felt the need for prayer and was punched for it. This was confusing but once the Ra’athi took in the light-hearted expression of his elder watchman, he relaxed. He bent his hands into a flurry of signs questioning the man’s sanity as well as his breeding. Aris tried to act offended but he cracked a smile and both men laughed. It was good to laugh. Things were not always easy for the Drykas but Azmere could hear the words of his grandfather echoing through his mind as if the old man’s spirit had hitched a ride on the laughter. Life has a way of swallowing the little things. Make time for laughter and revelry.

In between chuckles, the contrasting eyes of the ankal took in the sight of his people getting settled. The Drykas were swift with pitching tents and prepping stalls. It wasn’t long before children were running in and out of wagon lines while men bargained and women gossiped. The truth is probably that more women bartered than men but it was the posture of it all that fueled stereotypes. Azmere had elected to stay behind for several reasons and the first was to learn. A man is only as good as his understanding will allow him to be and the ankal had always found that a few moments held for observation were always well spent.

This occasion was no different as the rainbow starburst gaze bounced from wagon to wagon, face to face. Some of the knights among the caravan were very well armed. Some bore the heavy metal plate which was legendary for its durability as well as its crushing weight. Azmere respected the knights and their ways even if he didn’t fully agree. The archer preferred mobility and tactics to brute strength though there have been times when he would rely on the baser of defenses. His mind called up a few instances like the woman who burned his eyes or the fiends who hauled him off into the caverns but those were stories for campfires over ale and roasted meat.

Aris, as if sensing the burdening thoughts from his charge, broke the silence with a simple throat rumble. The Tavehk conjured up some mucus and spit it away from where the duo sat upon their mounts. Azmere turned to look at his superior, right brow arched. Aris acted as if nothing was wrong and pointed at the assembly near Amunet. “Looks like your plan succeeded, Stormblood. Do you think it likely that she’ll find a husband down there?” The ankal’s face retracted into a strange pose somewhere between doubt and confusion. Azmere had missed the humor again. After a few ticks it was he who slugged Aris in the arm.

“Amunet can handle herself in many respects. She’s a grown woman…” A shadow passed over Azmere’s face. “Just ask her.” He signed a farewell to Aris and lead Skylla down the incline towards the encampment. The watchman wore his black leather armor but kept the hood down. He was not ashamed of his scars and the straight posture that he rode spoke to this. With gentle nudges of his knees and the soft tug of his hand against the yvas handle, Azmere lead the young mare along the line of Drykas wagons checking on each one to see how folks were handling the setup. As he rode behind Amunet and the others, he gave a head nod to them all in turn while casting lingering glances to the healer then the short Syliran who had a warrior’s bearing. The archer made a mental note of this figure and saved an image of his face for future reference then continued onward.

Once he had traced the line of his people, the ankal steered his mount into the camp to investigate the goods of the Syliran wagons. From his yvas, he could see quite well into the stall and containers that the good city folk were setting up. The sound of metal against a grinding stone caught his ear and Azmere adjusted so that a quick head twist revealed its location. The watchman quickly turned his steed being mindful of the people and objects around him then gave a soft kick to motivate the stubborn Strider forward. Under the shadow of a canvas stretched out from a covered wagon, an older man hunched over the small grinding wheel and worked an edge into a simple ax. The man paused when he heard the approaching horse and looked up. He removed his hands from the wheel and simply allowed it to stop of its own accord.

“Can I help you, horseman?” The man’s tone was sincere and a tad raspy.

Azmere knew some Common but had to take a few ticks to think through his request before speaking. The archer dismounted slowly and gave a slight head bow to the aged man. “This stone” his finger pointed to the grinding wheel, “how much?”

The man blinked. Azmere instantly knew that his request was unexpected but he also noted a gleam in the gentleman’s eye. “Wellllll… it’s something of a family heirloom so I hadn’t intended on partin’ with it, ya see…” The merchant was about to prattle on but he could see that his quick speech and foreign words were killing his sale. “Since this is a meet of good faith between our kin, I’ll make ya a special price!” The man slowed and softened his speech. “Twenty-four gold mizas and she’s all yours.”

Azmere towered over the man by head and shoulders. He was processing the offer when, out of habit, he tilted his head to the right which revealed the whole of his scarred tissue. The gold eye, gleaming with bursts of color from the center pierced the man clean to his core. Something about the offer wasn’t level because the tradesman suddenly appeared nervous. Azmere signed ‘too much’ then realized the man would not know what it meant so he spoke in his even baritone. “Sorry. Sign a…” The word he was searching far was reflex but it was unknown to him. “Ha-bit.” The Drykas struggled with the word but his expression and stance remained undaunted. If anything, he moved closer when he shifted hit weight across his feet. “Two four too much.” Azmere knew the basic numbers but could only assume at what the stacked combinations would be so he sounded them out. “One six mizas.”

Ferrin smiled over at Jade as the Drykas gripped onto his hand, it wasn't the first time that Ferrin had encountered Drykas before now, he had seen them before and some of them while he was younger, visited Kenash. His mother, Sarah, helped some of them with trades and injured some of their wounds if any, from what Ferrin could remember, that was many years ago, he was still a child then, growing up was his focus, learning, and training as well. He didn't make much friends growing up, so not a lot of people knew him, well as far as Ferrin knew, things were going just fine though, anyways...

After introductions with the Healer, Amunet, Ferrin wondered what wares the other Drykas were selling, the Kenashian spoke to Jade, "do you want to take a look at what they have for sale? I'm sure we can get Dina something." Ferrin said, "after all she's been good on the ride here." Ferrin added, looking around, he noticed some of the Drykas setting up still, a few of them rode in to check up on what the other caravans from Syliras had for inventory, Ferrin grew curious himself, he never actually asked what the caravans transported.

"Well, if you need me I'll be looking at one of the sales over there." Ferrin pointed, he observed the men with the cloth and figured that they could make could for conserving items on a trip, like important things, well that's what Ferrin figured. Ferrin knew small amounts of Pavi, some of the Drykas taught him; they were mostly friends of Thorin, his father, and that's how he learned the little things. Ferrin signed, Hello he knew little, but it would be worth it, maybe gain what respect he can have. Even though, he's a squire, they might respect him already, but those who know the Order, they probably might not all trust them, "Cloths..." Ferrin pointed, "how much?"

OOCI apologize for such short posts, not really much going on at this moment...

"With a heart of steel, I raise my blade in combat. The only thoughts I have in my mind is whether I'd return home to my family. I am a soldier, and will fight for love and peace. That is the way of being a Syliran Knight"-Ferrin.
