Name: Arkin and Tyvryn Sukhal
Race: Akalak
DoB: 8th Fall, 355 AV
PoB: Riverfall
Title: Weapons Instructor at the Kendoka Sasaran
Skills: Shortbow: 78, Scimitar: 72, Teaching: 63, Carpentry: 48
Gnosis: Night Stalking 1
Additional Info: Arkin and Tyvryn are both lovers of mounted combat, riding in with the strongest of warhorses in their battle days. For some time he served in the Kuvay'Nas as Kavran and was part of a squad that allowed for ample experience in raiding and dealing with threats in the Sea of Grass. However, Arkin soon began to gravitate toward teaching, finding a passion for teaching less experienced Kavran and building the warriours of tomorrow, whereas Tyvryn strived to be the principle commander of the Kuvay'Nas. For some years they butted heads, remaining in their squad in a state of limbo as they failed time after time to find a compromise. Although they were previously balanced, Arkin soon reigned control over Tyvryn, nearly extinguishing any trace of his dark brother. Even now, it is rare for Arkin to hear his other half communicating with him, leaving behind a sense of fear that perhaps he has suppressed him. To distract from the potential danger of his own self, Arkin has thrown all his efforts into becoming a great weapons instructor. In attempts to encourage his brother to resurface, he has also worked on Tyvryn's favourite hobby, carpentry, and has grown skillful in the art. Some pieces of furniture in the Kendoka Sasaran were in fact built by Arkin, though he signs every piece with a small "Tyvryn" at the bottom of the legs.

Arkin is a light hearted individual, friendly and is beloved by his many students for his attention to their progress and supportive nature. Tyvryn, before his disappearance, was the more serious of the two and could be gruff and cold to strangers, though is only slightly less stone-faced to friends.

Name: Terakant / Dmivok
Race: Akalak
DoB: 350 Years
PoB: Riverfall
Title: Exalted, Professor, Archaeologist
Skills: Anthropology 45, Archaeology 80, History 60, Voiding 30, Lakan 65 Research 40, Cryptography 28, Teaching 55
Gnosis: Night Stalking 1, Lykata 1
Additional Info:

Terakant and his dark brother are an inquisitive pair, both enjoy an easy and long lasting understanding with each other and they spend their time delving into secrets of the past. Terakant is what comes to mind when one thinks of a grandfather, kindly, patient and willing to teach any eager mind. Where as Dmivok favors the learning and research aspect of scholarly life far more than Terakant. He has no patience for teaching or explaining and expects everyone of any sort of worth to understand him. He is by far more likely to condescend and insult than to ever teach.

They are a retired archaeologist and long standing member of the Antiquities Society and now spend their days teaching at the Valkahal Academy. They hold numerous classes at the Academy on History, Archaeology and various languages that they are very fluent in. Additionally, Due to having three sons and two grandsons, they are a very respected figure in Riverfall society and they have a voice that carries great weight, though they never use it outside of the student/teacher setting.

Name: Havar/Tharn
Race: Akalak
DoB: 445 AV
PoB: Riverfall
Title: Town Idiot, The Giant, Man Child
Skills: Endurance 71, Wrestling 61, Body Building 58, Mining 21, Hugging 19, Geology 3.
Gnosis: None.
Additional Info: Havar is massive, even for an Akalak. He stands at 8' 4" and weighs in at just over 370 pounds, he is even a little bit on the fat side, though the majority of his weight is pure muscle. He is a very dark Akalak, a purple near black. He can often be found hanging around The Monstrous Menagerie gawking at the animals, or at Gideon's Glory, working out using the other people there.

Havar and Tharn have possibly the strangest relationship ever among Akalaks. Havar was the first to surface, and remained dominant until the age of 14, when his counterpart, Tharn, emerged. Where Havar was always an extremely happy and jolly fellow, Tharn is cold, calculating, and dangerous. When Tharn emerged, it traumatized Havar, forcing him into oppression by Tharn for 20 years. At the age of 34 Tharn received a head injury during a fight, and it allowed Havar to resurface. Havar had not been in control for so long, he was still a child at heart. After recovering from the head injury, he retook primary control over Tharn, who now sits in the background, only occasionally surfacing. When he does, he tries to undo whatever good Havar has done, though he never maintains contorl for long enough to do any real harm. In short Havar is a giant manchild who loves having fun and loves giving hugs, but is uneducated and often rather dumb, and Tharn is a deadly psychopathic menace who is always looking for trouble.

Name: Thackeray Xikesh
Race: Human
DoB: 78th of Summer, 480 AV
PoB: Kenash, Cyphrus
Title: Apothecary, Assassin

Skills: Bastard Sword (68), Intelligence (55), Poisoncrafting (51), Philtering (51), Stealth (50), Impersonation (42), Subterfuge (37), Blind Fighting (29), Unarmed Combat (27), Daggers (26), Escape Artist (24), Forgery (22), Cryptography (20)

Gnosis: Krysus (2)

Additional Info:

Born to a Freeborn family that caught the ire of the Zulaca Dynasty, Thackeray was introduced to the concept that power was a driving force in life early on. While there was never any substantiated evidence that the Zulaca’s had anything to do with the murder of his father, the suspicion lingered on the edges of society. Convinced that justice would never be done through the conventional means of Kenashern law, Thackeray sought his own brand of justice against the man he believed responsible for the murder of his father.

His reckless attempt at vigilantism was stopped dead in its tracks by the more experienced hands of the Zulaca guard forces. As a boy barely reaching maturity he was nearly sold into slavery for the affront to the powerful family. He was saved from this fate through the intervention of “his mother” who convinced Carthrys Zulaca that there was a use for the boy beyond the doldrums of mundane slave labor. Beyond that the man never speaks of his upbringing save to entertain the occasional inquiry into his travels. He took up residence in Riverfall roughly eight years ago coming to work as an assistant apothecary in the employ of What Boils Beneath. Thackeray is known to be an overall approachable individual with no tangible reputation beyond being a good source of information for various herbs and how to treat venomous or infected wounds.

He is often found wearing several layers of clothing with gloves and noticeable burn scars on portions of his exposed skin. When asked about them he merely tells others that he survived a foolish attempt at a philtering experiment that resulted in a fire which left parts of his body deformed. While partly true, virtually no one in Riverfall is aware of the fact that his attire also conceals the marking of Krysus upon his body. Nor are many aware of the fact that he is, on occasion, a man for hire in more “discreet” affairs better left away from the eyes of civilized society.

Name: Alice Lewis
Race: Human
DoB: 78th of Summer, 482 BV (36)
PoB: Cyphrus, Riverfall
Title: Head Instructor of Artsian Crafts at the Valkalah Academy
Skills: 78 Teaching, 51 Painting, 98 Drawing, 21 Carving, 53 Leadership, 36 Observation, 28 Intelligence
Gnosis: None
Additional Info:
Appearance:
Alice is an average sized woman standing at 5'5" with a weight of 126lbs the last time she checked. She stands straight, with near perfect posture. She has fair skin that has been tanned due to many days of doing outdoor seminars and artisan crafts. She has high cheek bones, and narrow eyes giving her a more mature look. Her brunette tresses sometimes fall to cover her dark brown eyes, now matter how she pins it back. She has a well shaped body.

Personality:
As an head instructor of Art at the Valkalah Academy, Alice has little time for disrespect and even less for those who don't immerse themselves in their studies or slack off. She is a no-nonsense teacher, and will go out of her way for students who prove they have a keen interest in learning. While very strict she does have a soft side. When a student is trying their best and still struggling, Alice will take her days off and arrange meetings to give them extra help. She encourages her student's to be the best they can be, and is often visited by former students who sometimes appear in her seminars as motivational speakers.

History:
Alice often found that she was good at anything with her hands as long as it was artistic. Sculpting? She's done it. Painting? She's done it. The list goes on. She as a child grew up in an orphanage, so there weren't may things to do while waiting on a home. One of the helpers at the orphanage handed her a sheet of paper on day and told her to explain her day. The catch was that she had to draw it, not write it.

From the age of seven to ten, her years in the orphanage consisted of her drawing out her day and showing it to the helper. She was dedicated herself to drawing anything and everything she could see until she was adopted. That's when she was introduced to painting. She had never seen such a wide color spectrum, but the artist that had adopted her was big on concept designs. He drew everything from weapons to maps, and imparted that knowledge on to her.

When she turned eleven, the Artists introduced her to schooling. He told her if she got good grades and passed her classes, that he would teach her something wonderful. Something better than painting? She was so excited that she ended up skipping two of the grades, and eventually became a professor at the very School she graduated from. Once schooling was done, the seventeen year old was introduced to sculpting. Now, it was a bit trickier for her because of the use of outside tools. However she worked and studied hard, and eventually got the gist of it. She could carve small details in wood. When her adoptive father passed on, he left all his supplies to her and she began teaching artisan crafts at the orphanage.

Eventually she got the job offer at the school, who had been hearing of her progress from her art teacher who she kept in contact with. Now at the age of thirty five she is still learning and improving her craft, all while educating other youths and even some adults on the beauty that is art.

Skills:

Subterfuge 20
Larceny 10

Additional Info: Brown hair, brown eyes, average height, weight, and build. The descriptive of any typical male human walking the street of any region.

Timpany is a man of easy advantage. He has no qualms in preying upon the weak and weary. A coward at heart with little ambition but to ensure his next meal and flagon. Once a military man gone mercenary, he has found himself in Riverfall where his weapon for hire is one of many. Barely able to support himself as a Kuvan, he has been supplementing what little lawful income he has with shady jobs and by prowling the markets, gate, and docks for easy pickings from unwary newcomers not yet familiar with Riverfall customs and culture.

Name: Senlyn Suvalis
Race: Akalak
DoB: 57th of Summer, 397 AV
PoB: Riverfall, Cyphrus Region
Title: Healer at the Gilia Medical Center
Skills: Medicine 71; Herbalism 55; Poison 35; Weapon: Lakan 60; Weapon: Dagger 41; Massage 53; Philtering 36
Gnosis: 1 Ra'keli
Additional Info: Senlyn is a quiet, but happy man who has devoted his life to the healing aspect of warfare. Shortly after Senlyn's 50th birthday, his younger brother Rislyn, disobeyed an order during training. He received a fatal wound because of his misstep and since then Senlyn not only spends his days within the medical center learning all he can, but also worshiping Rak'keli. Despite the accident he is well versed in weaponry, though he prefers to leave it to his other half Wudev. While Wudev doesn't directly share his love of medicine, either half is more than willing to pick up the slack whether in battle or healing. The two often work seamlessly together. Wudev however is easily distinguished as he is considered the more brooding of the two.

Name: Urahli / Ytang
Race: Akalak
DoB: Spring 1, 313
PoB: Riverfall
Title: Kuvay’Nas
Skills: Unarmed Combat: 77, Tracking: 71, Tactics: 64, Stealth: 61, Weapon-Lakan: 59, Bodybuilding: 54, Hunting: 51, Weapon-Quarterstaff: 49, Teaching: 47, Acrobatics: 38
Gnosis: Wyser lvl 2
Additional Info: Urahli was once a very proud warrior and hunter until a glass beak took half of his left arm and maimed his right leg. Rather than choose a craft or trade that was more suited to a broken body, the Akalak continued to devote himself to the calling of his youth. Though not one to be seen in arenas, the scarred visage and inability to move without a walking stick have kept Urahli from doing all but volunteering to patrol the city with the Kuvay’Nas. Every now and then, he has been known to take on a pupil but only one that standard Akalak society would deem as unorthodox or inappropriate. Urahli will justify this with plenty of reasons but the truth is that Ytang does it to spite the people who now view their shattered form as a handicap.

[Riverfall] The NPC Creation/Request Thread

Postby Taurina on June 21st, 2018, 9:10 pm

Name: Soryn/Enalius Talkut
Race: Akalak
DoB:  55th of Spring 424 AV (94)
PoB: Riverfall
Title: Architect
Skills: Architecture 51, Carpentry 15, Drawing 26, Unarmed Combat 62, Weapon: Lakan 48, Seduction 39, Persuasion 22, Weaponsmithing 24
Gnosis: None
Additional Info: For a long time Soryn and Enalius have worked to be in harmony with one another, their souls typically more balanced than not. Both have always taken great pride in their work and equally enjoy spending afternoons at the Gideon Arena either sparring or as a spectator. Free time is often spent delving into a hobby of weaponsmithing or taking part in Riverfall's various social activities. The Akalak has always been nice to look at. Standing at roughly seven foot with dark purple toned skin he is a fine example of his race. His hair is shaved on the sides and plated down to just below his shoulders. He is built like any Akalak, with a body fit for combat should the need arise. His eyes are likely his most stunning feature, a pale gold like the sun.

Soryn is a charming, romantic, nostalgic soul that wants for a love match rather than just a breeding agreement. Enalius is the more cynical of the two, seeing life as more black and white than in color. Enalius tends to fixate on things, having a hard time letting go of what he cannot have, but he is not typically violent. More just cruel. He can be gruff and mean, but at least attempts to be kind when he can be, usually when he is trying to get his way about something, even if he is not the best at it. Soryn sees the good in everyone, including his ‘dark’ brother and insists that Enalius is not as bad as he sometimes seems. He hopes for the best always and respects others wishes even if they are not always in agreement with his. However, Enalius is fairly good at getting Soryn to be on his side because he knows his ‘light’ brother wishes for balance between them more than anything else. During times of unbalance, most often caused by Enalius pushing to do something Soryn does not want, Enalius will shut Soryn out making him the more dominant of the two.
