I can feel the calling again
The primal need is filling me
Changes are about to begin
And now my blood is boiling
I can see the fear in your eyes
But you cant bring yourself to scream
Time to shed the mortal disguise
The beast is coming to life

Taking more than a glimmer of this tainted moonlight
Death approaches on this night

Physical Information

Race: Isur
Birthday & Age : Season of Winter, Day 24, 469 AV (53 years old = 26 years human)
Gender: Female

Physical Description

Ialari's appearance is the personification of Isur blood. She stands at an even five feet tall with a fit, defined form. Although she weighs around 185 lbs due to her dense Isurian bones and skin, she looks as though she is only around 120 lbs. Her skin carries a light blue to purple tone and is covered in sleek, smooth silver veins that are slightly raised from her skin. There is an ever-slight bony ridge stretching from one side of her face to the other, just above her eyes and over the bridge of her nose. Her eyes are a dark brown and her hair is short and a bluish-silver color. She is hardly ever found without some form of Isurian jewelry; primarily silver chains and intricately-etched medallions. Her most striking feature is her right arm. From the shoulder down, It is solid black in color and looks like silver-veined onyx.

Ialari is fond of dressing much like other members of her race by wearing clothing that tastefully shows off her physique. Thus she is often wears dark-colored skirts with elaborate necklaces of silver that hang down over the front of her torso; leaving her back bare. She has also been known to wear white silk or linen dresses that hug her body or even woven netting braided in beads.

Ialari Pythone Pitrius is her full, Isurian name though she only uses, Ialari Pythone among outsiders. She sees giving her full name to non-Isur as being degrading to herself, her family and clan and the god, Izurdin. Ialari was born in the Pitrius citadel; part of the Isurian Kingdom of Sultros. Born into clan Pitrius, her father, Zyleron Pythone, was a Djed practitioner who taught at the Silver Tower; the center for all Djed-related studies and practices in the Isurian Kingdom. The Pythone family received its name from the founder, Pythone Pitrius, a man with an almost supernatural affinity toward snakes. Since Pythone, his decedents have all honored him by raising and training snakes.

Starting an early age, Ialari began to show her own affinity toward snakes that echoed that of Pythone, himself although not nearly at the same level. Her parents allowed her to indulge in that affinity which sometimes took on darker aspects. For example, she became fascinated not only with constrictor snakes and their power they displayed but also the more poisonous species. She began experimenting with various types of snake venom which opened her mind to poisons in general. Her interest was noted by her father who arranged for her to study at the Silver Tower under instructors skilled in alchemy, herbalism and poisons. She began her training at the young age of 25 and spent almost ten years after learning and expanding her knowledge.

Following her 35th birthday, Ialari had completed her training as an apprentice. Instead of continuing on at the Tower, she petitioned her instructors to allow her to continue her studies on her own. She explained how she yearned to expand her knowledge of her arts beyond the confines of not only the Tower, but the citadel and even the kingdom. She had become nearly obsessed with bits of knowledge of the outside world that she had gained from her limited access to pre-Valterrian texts held within the Tower vaults. Hesitant at first, one of her instructors sympathized with her and was able to convince the others to allow her request. There are still hushed rumors at the Tower that Ialari had used a poison upon her instructor that weakened his will and opened him up to her suggestions that inevitably led to her being allowed to leave.

From the Pitrius Citadel, Ialari ventured out into post-Valterrian Mizahar and pushed her way east; as far from home as one could get.

The First Mark of Izurdin

Ialari possess the first mark of Izurdin, God of Strength, Patience and Industry. As with all Isur, she was born with the mark in the form of her metallic arm. Those marked by Izurdin gain access to and skill in the divine gift known as Izentor.

Izentor is what those of the Izurdin faith call the god's gift of creation. Izurdin, God of Strength, Patience and Industry, is said to be to the one who gifted the mortal realm with the ability to create things through the use of tools. Forging weapons, armor and other implements as well as making clothing, building structures and engaging in industrial pursuits are all examples of the lesser form of Izentor that people of all races possess at some level. Sometimes, those of surpassing skill and ability are gifted with a greater understanding of Izurdin's Gift and are marked by the God with talents that go far beyond that of mundane constructs. These individuals find that the products of their work are stronger and hardier than their mundane counterparts. Some items may even possess strange, sometimes supernatural qualities. (Starting Package)

The Second Mark of Izurdin

Ialari possess the second mark of Izurdin, God of Strength, Patience and Industry.

Izurdin's favored have their original mark extended so that it curls and weaves its way down to their elbow. In addition to the imparted properties from their first mark, the favored may now impart a bit of themselves upon their craft. If the person is kind and gentle, the item may cause those who view it or come in contact with it to themselves, lighten-up and become calm. If the person is especially beautiful or ugly, the item may change to reflect that appearance upon itself. Those serving justice and law may grant their items a righteous aura that unnerves those of the opposite agenda while a person holding evil and selfishness in their hearts would cause their item to negatively affect those with opposite thoughts. The favored may sense their own crafted items to a distance of 1 mile in any direction. This works regardless of magical means of concealment or any mundane obstructions. Imparting these items is an extraordinarily taxing process both physically and mentally so much that the crafter must rest for three days following the imparting. Thread Here

Ialari possesses the first mark of Dira, Goddess of Death.

The first mark from Dira takes the form of a scythe located on her left palm. It grants Ialari a general sensitivity towards all things death-related such as ghosts, undead and people who are about to die. She can feel the presence of these things and finds herself strangely comfortable in their presence. (Gathered from discussion with Tarot) Thread Here

Ialari possesses the first mark of Tanroa, Goddess of Time.

The first mark from Tanroa takes the form of a faint circle that rings the iris in a starry blue that flares when activated, the circle deepens and flourishes with every progression. The gnosis is not easy to spot, it is usually caught when one turns a certain way into the light.

The mark allows Ialari to see and hear changes to one or two pieces of her surroundings while inside Time's Anchor. Limited interaction with the past; cannot interact physically anything (is not ethereal either). Can't be seen by anyone in the past. Can only see and hear others. Travel up to 25 years into the past for up to 6 hours. Can only move up to a mile away from their anchor (the point where they entered the past). Thread Here

Ialari possesses the first mark of Caiyha, Goddess of Nature.

The singularly marked individual is granted the language of Nura and begins to learn to communicate with plants and animals of all sorts. Nura can even cause the witch to actively associate with insects which are vital forms of life in Caiyha's domain. The witch is granted one biome to look after, and is given often multiple years to hone her skills and branch out to invest time and energy in the space she or he protects. The more skills a witch learns and perfects, the more likely she will feel the urge to move and resettle, especially when her current biome has been in balance for a significantly long period of time. Many witches at this stage can also 'lose' their marks if Caiyha finds them lacking in motivation or determination when it comes to being her guardians of the world.

Ialari has become one of Caiyha's witches with the Riperian influence. Where other biomes touch water, Riparian witches thrive. They manage streams and rivers, lakes and ponds. While it is rare to find a Riparian witch with a singular mark, more commonly witches pick up Riparian skills to compliment their primary biomes. Thread Here

The Lightbender (Unclaimed) - Link
Secret :
Made of a Velispar skin that shimmers with dark golds, greens, purples, and a multitude of jewel tones, this iridescent crop top has been around for a couple of thousand year. Thought to be lost, it has been recently discovered in the ruins of Pavena, where it had been carelessly placed on display in Pavena's old library building now called Reclaimed Knowledge.

Shavita, a female velispar who was very closely associated with Priskil, lived for many many years and passed peacefully from the world of old age. The Lightbender is just one of the many many items that were made from her skin, which she donated to a champion of Priskil who was also a magecrafter and master armor mage back when such folks were common.

Little is known about Shavita's other items, but the Lightbender was common knowledge in Pavena's height and thus the library ghost is well versed in its history. Recounting what she knows, Talia Zakala the ghostly librarian, will recount how Myrna received the Lightbender from her brother Marcus as a gift. She wore it often, except on that fatal day she vanished offworld. Most of her things were donated to the library as decorations to honor Myrna in a display within it's hallowed halls.

The Lightbender does exactly what it's name implies. It shields the wearer in a magical aura that bends light making the wearer appear to be displaced in random directions. This makes hitting the wearer harder in combat, and indeed makes it easier for the wearer to hit an opponent in battle because the opponent is often dodging a blow that comes from an unexpected place.

When combat is not occurring, the Lightbender is inactive. It just appears as a lovely crop top that doesn't show wear or dirt.

In game terms, the Lightbearer will add +25 to any dice roll where the PC wearing the Lightbearer rolls (1d100+their skill) to hit and subtracts -25 from any opponents dice roll (1d100+their skill) in opposition.

Silk Robes of a Sentinel of the Silver Tower - Link
Secret :
Item: Silk Robes of a Sentinel of the Silver Tower
Ingredients: Vial of Air Velispar Blood, Dhani Brains, A bat wing, Grave dirt of "a champion" (meaning is up in the air), Vial containing a swirling storm

At the bottom of the cauldron, once the bubbling brew receded, Ialari’s Sentinel Robes remained neatly folded. The first time she donned the robes, the very potent mix of Velispar Blood and batwing caused the robes themselves to flare out in a pair of wings that would allow Ialari flight for brief periods of time – to catch herself in a fall or to glide across spans too great to jump in times of emergencies. She couldn’t take off in flight from the ground, but leaping off incredibly tall buildings wearing the robes would result in graceful landings (with practice) in such situations. The robes also had additional properties now that Ialari would discover with wear. The robes would grant her the ability to flick her tongue out – much like a snake – and taste the air. This action, when she touched the tip of her tongue to the roof of her mouth, would flood her senses with information on what she was ‘smelling’ via the tongue motion. She becomes very good at tracking, sensing hidden enemies, or detecting the obscured if whatever is concealed has an odor. When slipping on the robes as well, Ialari also notice that she only had to look at another sentient being to understand exactly what storm of emotion was swirling around within them. If someone was angry, she could tell immediately. If someone was sad… no number of smiles could hide this fact. This was always true of the wearer, though she would learn if she wore the robes in a crowd, the overload of information coming in from the robes would often lead to severe trauma and potentially madness. And finally, the robes will allow her to move across graveyards and cemeteries in a way that left no trace – no track, no noise, and not even a thin trail of disturbed dew on the grass. This ability only works in holy places where people are buried.

Amulet of Desire (Unclaimed) - Link
Secret :
Winners will receive The Amulet of Desire. A stranger will find you wherever you are. It might be a begger who offers you a gift, a monkey who throws this at you, or in some strange way this item will be passed to you. It is a necklace. Over time and through roleplay you will come to understand how this item works. When you hold it in your hand and turn a careful circle until you stand in whichever direction the person, place, or thing that you desire will cause the amulet to glow. The person place or thing you desire can change moment to moment. It will continue to glow as long as you concentrate on that object of desire and point in the direction it lies relative to you. This item will only work if you are within a 10 mile distance of the one thing you desire.

Please remember, your character must have a LORE of the item person or location your character desires or else they don't know it exists to desire it. If you want an idea concept or fact, this will not work with this item. It works only on physical things.

Ceremonial dagger - Link (Anger the Serpent, Unleash the Devil) (Additional Link)
Secret :
The weapon causes blurred vision to the target. Successful strike causes a -10 to future rolls; only applied once per target per scene. Activates via command word.

Insidious Charm (Unclaimed) - Link (New Years Challenge)
Secret :
A small trinket shaped like an oddly screaming face half melted is acquired by your PC. This trinket can be suspended by a thong and used as a necklace, or added to another pre-existing magical item such as a charm bracelet. This item, when worn, immediately alerts the wearer if something such as a person, place, or thing is an Insid or having been to or originating from the Insidious Realm. Owning this item allows the PC to understand what the Insidious Realm is and what it contains. This understanding happens through dreams, having someone tell the pc, etc. The choice is yours. The item cannot be sold, traded or gifted. This understanding grants the wearer a + 25 to resisting any sort of influence an Insid Creature or Item might apply to someone such as hypnotism or seduction. Many many cursed items have come from the Insidious Realm so your PC is more apt to not fall prey to these items and their sometimes all but sentient influence.

Snakeblood

The power involves Ialari's blood being able to transform inanimate objects into living, breathing snakes. Inanimate objects between 12 inches and 12 feet can be transformed, uncontrollably at first but once realized it can be voluntary, into snakes.

These snakes are very much like the common Sikuva snake except for being jet black in color with silver striping patterns. Said snakes, being born of Ialari's blood, bare a bond similar to that of L1 Izentor in that Ialari can recognize them on sight and they share a bond. This bond causes the snakes to be more docile and comfortable around Ialari and will respond somewhat better to her Animal Husbandry attempts. They are non-venomous and feed on insects if they are small or rodents if they are larger. The snakes, once transformed, are full living, mundane creatures.

The creation of the snakes takes much more than a drop or two of blood. A healthy smear is required to transform smaller specimens while the largest can take a rather unhealthy amount to change. Objects must be of the type that could be considered snake-like. This means they have some sort of length to them and may or may not have a coil, curl or twist. Examples include (non-magical/mundane): rope, sticks, branches, staves and basically any weapon, tool, object 12 inches to 12 feet with the diameter equal to a snake of comparable size.

There is no limit to the number of snakes she can create however the loss of blood with the larger ones is such that it creates an obvious limit. Following their initial creation, they are treated as though they were a new species of snake similar to the Sikuva yet with notable, if cosmetic, differences. They would thrive most in places that Ialari finds most appealing and share many of her more base instincts. Due to their bond and shared blood with Ialari, their life-span is extended as is their basic resilience. Their intelligence remains that of snake with an instinctual acceptance of Ialari.

Nature's Avatar

A small, smooth, iridescent seed that pulses with an inner light. Once swallowed, this seed sprouts and spreads throughout the body. This creates an astounding first-time transformation that is unimaginably painful at first but quickly becomes absolute bliss. The seed transforms a person into a personification of nature in an animal form. The individual can transform, at will, into a hybrid form of an animal and humanoid with some significant repercussions. This animal must reflect the primary qualities of the person and also be tied to the biome that most suits them (and they write to most). The person does not age like their animal form; instead aging as who they are as a humanoid. The animalistic form is a unique hybrid that blends humanoid and animal in one. There is a constant struggle between humanoid and beast. The more time spent in this form, the less grasp the person has on who they are. Every transformation results in a struggle between the person and the beast. This is in no way like being a member of the Kelvic race.

This hybrid form is a mix of the physical qualities of both creatures. While maintaining a humanoid shape, the Avatar exhibits heavy animalistic features. Heavy fur or scales, hooves, claws or talons and wings, the Avatar is the ultimate blend of two worlds. In this form, they are completely unrecognizable as their base race. For example, the Avatar will have a bestial face with humanoid body and some bestial appendages such as a tail or even hoofed feet and animal legs. The hybrid form is unrecognizable as being anything other than the personification of the balance of nature and humanoid. The Avatar shares the senses of the base animal and has heightened physical traits related to said animal. Depending on the animal this could be speed or agility or even strength or endurance. A single heightend physical trait is applicable and is influenced by the primary physical trait of the base animal.

The more one pushes the beast beyond their normal instincts, the harder it fights. It is a constant battle of wills between humanoid and animal. You will never be able to conquer the beast, at best, you can keep it from taking full control. Any animal that fits within the appropriate biome, fits with the character’s traits and concept, can be chosen as the Avatar form. Once chosen, this form is permanent. Talderian forms are restricted but all other natural, non-anomalous, magical animals will be half again as large as their natural humanoid forms. Don't attempt to choose something outlandish or otherworldy; think wolves, deer, bear, snakes, rabbits, you know, normal creatures. Normal animals of the same species as the Avatar will recognize the person for what they are; a personification of nature. They will not attack or otherwise oppose the Avatar; instead deferring to them as the equivalent of an alpha.

Ialari is the Avatar of Serpents. She is the personification of the balance between the Serpent beast and Sentient Life. She derives immense strength from the constrictor and in her hybrid form is 7.5 feet tall and weighs nearly 500lbs. Her body becomes nothing short of solid muscle covered in scales. Her entire body shifts to have a lengthened neck and a tail with her entire body covered in scales. Her face is that of a snake with fangs and slitted eyes. She she finds intimate connections with snakes and to a lesser degree, reptiles. She endures a constant struggle between the animal and civilized thought; always haunted by the instinctual desires of the animal tempered by sentient intelligence. It is a constant reminder of the balance of nature that must be maintained.

4. What is your height? 5 feet tall
5. What is your weight? 185 lbs (Isurian equivalent to a 120 lb human)

Aesthetics :
1. Describe yourself as you see yourself. Fit, attractive, seductive and strong.
2. Describe yourself as others typically see you. Strong, attractive, mysterious and exotic.
3. What is your favorite body feature? My metallic black, smooth silver-veined right arm; a symbol representing the blood of Izurdin running through my veins.
4. How physically fit are you? Extremely; more so than most humans from intense physical training over the course of many years that would likely kill the average human.
5. How do you typically dress and what is your style? Black, alchemist robes or expensive white or black silk dresses and skirts; simple yet elegant.

Family :
1. Who are your parents and what are they like? Zyleron and Ivani Pythone. Zyleron is always formal, strict and dedicated to the Silver Tower in the Pitrius Citadel of the Sultros Kingdom. Ivani is quiet yet passionate about her work as a magecrafter at the Silver Tower where she constructs a variety of mystical items for study and use by the Tower.
2. Do you have any brothers or sisters? 2 older brothers (Cydron and Vir) and 1 younger sister (Nysan)
3. What is your extended family like? The Pythone family is made up of 47 individuals; aunts, uncles, grandparents, brothers and sisters and cousins. Like most Isurian families, they are quite close and thus spend much of their time either working together in the Silver Tower or at one of the many nearby forges.
4. Do you consider close friends as important or more/less important than family? Family always comes first.
5. Do you treat animals like family? The Pythone family takes its name from a snake. Snakes are just like family and deserve to be treated as such.

5. Do you have (or want to get) any tattoos or piercing? Why do you have them (or will get them)? Pierced ears and no tattoos. The pierced ears are for wearing flattering jewelry and tattoos in the future is likely. Tattoos of snakes are most likely.

Occupations :
1. What is your occupation? Poisoncrafter
2. Do you like/dislike your work? Why? I love it because it offers me a challenge and gives a feeling of danger due to the taboo that others have labeled it with.
3. If you could be anything you wanted to, what would you be? Someone who can direct the course of events on a large scale.
4. What occupation do you admire the most? Why? King of the Isur because of the power, freedom and control the position wields.

Childhood :
1. What sort of child were you? Quiet, studious and not one who always played well with others.

5. What are your educational goals for the future? To learn as much about poisons and their effects on humanoid races as possible with the intent of developing something to prevent any single person of any outsider race from having the power to anger the gods in the way humans did with the Valterrian.

Relationships :
1. Do you form close bonds with people? Why? Why not? Not so much outside of family. My trust is not easily earned and I distrust most non-Isur before ever meeting them.
2. Do you trust people easily? If not, why not? No. Trusting someone gives them some amount of power over you. This is not something to be given easily.
3. Do you consider yourself straight, gay, bi, or something else? Bisexual
4. Have you ever been kissed? If so, describe the first time. Yes. My first kiss was from an Isurian boy studying with me at the Silver Tower. It was awkward and I didn't really like him but he was insistent. A short time later, I kissed him again but with a contact poison on my lips for which I had taken the antidote for. His lips were forever physically scarred after that.
5. Have you ever had sex? If so, describe the first time. Yes. It was with a girl I studied with at the Silver Tower. Her name was Tulani. We were swimming in a small, subterranean hot-spring. We were already attracted to one another before that and one thing led to another and we ended up making love that evening.

Drugs and Alcohol :
1. Have you ever been drunk? If so, describe your first time. Yes. It wasn't all that special and it was a family affair. We were celebrating my acceptance to the Silver Tower and I had my first mug of Isurian ale. It was potent and not all that bad tasting. After a few mugs, I was dancing around by myself, falling over furniture and running into walls.
2. Do you like to drink on a regular basis? No
3. What sort of alcohol do you prefer? Isurian brews or other drinks with a high alcohol content.
4. Have you ever tried drugs (mood altering substances)? If so, which kinds and what did you think of them? Yes. Ingesting mild snake venom and other lesser poisons is a requirement at the Silver Tower when one wishes to take up poisoncrafting. It is unlike anything else I have ever experienced.
5. What do you think of drugs and alcohol? Be specific. The poisons I have used for the same purpose as one uses other drugs are not only essential to my craft but also extremely pleasurable. Alcohol, while enjoyable at times, dulls the senses and leaves one open to unpleasant consequences. While useful as a delivery device for many poisons, it is little more than a moderate recreation otherwise.

Likes and Dislikes :
1. What are your hobbies? Seeking out new source material for use in crafting new and unique poisons.
2. Do you like to read? Yes; forbidden lore and lost texts are the most enjoyable to read.
3. What annoys you more than anything else? Humans and their false sense of superiority.
4. What do you find the most relaxing activity to do? Indulging in the recreational use of mild poisons as well as immersing myself in laboratory experiments.
5. What kinds of things embarrass you? Why? Being caught unprepared; regardless of the situation. I pride myself in always being prepared; always being able to turn a potential failure into a success. To not be prepared for everything is akin to being ignorant.

Favorites :
1. What is your favorite color or colors? Black, white and purple.
2. What is your favorite time of day? Dusk
3. What is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen? A sunset from atop the Pitrius citadel deep within the mountains of Kalea.
4. What do you like to eat? What do you hate to eat? I like to eat apples, they are my favorite food. I hate to eat fish.
5. What is your favorite type of weather? Does any kind scare you? Light rainstorms with think strokes of lightning spider-webbing across the sky. Other forms of weather do not really frighten me.

Outlook :
1. Are you optimistic or pessimistic? Pessimistic
2. What are your religious views? Izurdin is the highest of divine figures. He is the father of the Isur race and blessed us with perfection in mind and body. Other divine beings serve their purpose in many ways however their greatness pales in comparison to Izurdin.
3. Would you be able to kill? Yes. Life is meaningful only when one gives it meaning. I could kill those whose life has no meaning to me if such a thing were necessary.
4. What are your views on sex? It is an enjoyable sport played by two or more people. Its meaning again is what one gives it and can change depending on the situation. Sex can be a special thing between lovers or it can be used as a tool to control the weak; its uses are many.
5. What, in your opinion, makes a successful life? Knowledge and Control. The more one knows, the more control they have not only over their own lives but over the lives of others. To be successful in life, one must be able to control it.

Actions :
1. What is the worst and best thing you’ve ever done? The worst thing I have ever done happened when I was working toward becoming a full apprentice at the Silver Tower. Another student who also was working with poisons, was excelling faster than I and he made it a point to make sure I knew it. One evening, after classes were finished, I took a vial of snake venom that I had pocketed from one of the labs earlier in the day, sneaked in to his chamber and dribbled it on his lips as he slept. He never woke up. This was also the best thing I had ever done since the boy's sister; one of my good friends, was then able to apply for study at the Tower in place of her now dead brother.
2. What is your greatest regret? Not telling my father how important he was to me before I left home.
3. What is your best/worst memory? My best memory past childhood was the day I was granted full apprenticeship in poisons at the Silver Tower. The worst memory was during one of my apprenticeship tests when a poison I was working on failed to produce any results; ending in a failing mark for that particular test.
4. If you could change one thing about your past, what would it be and why? I would have used my knowledge of poisons more to have gotten more out of life before leaving home.
5. What are you the most proud of doing in your life? I am the most proud of gaining my successful apprenticeship at the Tower.

Emotions :
1. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings with others? Honesty is only given to those that I trust. I trust few.
2. Do you have any biases or prejudices? The dirty, ignorant, simplistic humans caused the Valterrian. Unless a solution for the human problem is found, they will once more destroy the world.
3. What makes you happy? Discovering previously lost or hidden objects or information. Working with poisons and the ingredients needed to make them. Watching successful effects of a poison upon a subject.
4. Who or what, if anything, would you die for? I would die for Izurdin.
5. What makes you angry? Humans, failure, anyone who declares a false sense of superiority.

Relationships :
1. In general, how do you treat others? If I feel they are of some use or have some meaning to me, then they are treated relatively well. Otherwise, they are little more than pebbles beneath my feet.
2. Who is the most important person in your life, and why? Currently, I am the most important person in my life because outside of home, I am the only one I can trust.
3. Who is the person you respect the most, and why? My father because of his knowledge and skill and his drive to achieve anything he desires no matter the cost.
4. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If not, describe an ideal lover. No. The ideal lover however is one who possesses great strength, drive, and shares my interests.
5. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why Only Izurdin is worthy enough of such trust as he is without flaw.

Group Situations :
1. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? I will argue with others if I feel there is something to be gained from it. I find that most people who wish to argue with me are ignorant and believe too much in falsehoods.
2. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? Not as much as I would like as I have an extremely difficult time trusting others to follow orders. Everyone is out for themselves in one way or another.
3. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not? Depending on the circumstances, yes. In a more intellectual environment, I like interaction with larger groups however it is difficult when around humans.
4. Do you care what others think of you? I know that I am one of the chosen of Izurdin and carry myself in such a manner. Whether or not other non-Isur think highly of me, matters little. It would be the same as asking a snake if they cared what the mouse thought of them.
5. What do you think of others, in general? Most Isur are decent folk with skill, beauty and a sense of purpose. Outsiders however are too consumed in their own ignorance to be worth much. While some individuals rise above that, most do not.

Self Image :
1. What is your greatest strength as a person? My ability to do what it takes to get what I want no matter the cost.
2. What is your greatest weakness? My inability to trust those who may actually be deserving of it.
3. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I somewhat wish I were able to be more tolerant of outsiders if only to be able to get close enough to gain more knowledge of them and thus power over them in order to eliminate any potential threat to myself.
4. Are you generally introverted or extroverted? Introverted
5. Are you generally organized or messy? I am generally very organized.

Beliefs :
1. What God or Goddess do you find most appealing, if any? Izurdin of course; he is the father of my race.
2. Which God or Goddess do you fear, if any? Ivak. If he were ever to rage again, the world would be doomed.
3. Do you have any Gnosis Marks? If so, how did you receive them? The first mark of Izurdin granted at birth in the form of a black metallic arm contoured with raised silver veins.
4. What lengths would you go to to please your deity? Nearly anything Izurdin asks, I would do.
5. Where do you draw the line at pleasing your deity? What is too much? Giving up that which gives me purpose in life. Without purpose, life is meaningless.

Life & Death :
1. What do you absolutely live for? Discovering new things, creating, destroying, learning how things work.
2. What is the best part of life? Being able to grow in strength, intelligence and knowledge and seeing how that growth takes you beyond not only what you were but beyond others as well.
3. What is the best part of death? The chance of being able to spend eternity with Izurdin.
4. If you could choose, how would you want to die? By one of my own signature poisons.
5. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death? Finding a solution to the human problem.

Ialari Pythone

The Pythone family, while not overly influential within clan Pitrius politics, is still prominent. Known primarily for their almost unnatural affinity with serpents, more specifically snakes, the family is also known for their tendency to delve into some of the darker, more forbidden arts. For a clan renown for its dark practices to acknowledge a family as being popular for delving even deeper, that is speaking volumes. The family does maintain influence within the Silver Tower in Sultros where several family members study a number of varying djed-related practices.

The Pythone family has historically offered a few key figures to Pitrius clan history as well as Isurian history as a whole. While not always heroic by the longest stretch of the word, these individuals have nonetheless proven themselves as worthy of historical note.

Image

Pythone Pitrius

Pythone was one of the clan founder, Pitrius', first apprentices. Highly intelligent, Pythone was a quiet man, devious and patient; patient even for an Isur. He was fond of setting plans into motion that wouldn't come to fruition for decades and by that time, any potential targets or opposition to those plans were caught completely unaware. Pythone was also one of Pitrius' key assassins; striking from the shadows with a mastery of poisons unlike anyone else since. It is rumored that Pythone was responsible for the unexplained deaths of dozens of military, political and mercantile figures in the Pre-Valterrian Isurian Kingdom. Perhaps the greatest thing that Pythone is known for however is his supernatural affinity for snakes. He was never seen unaccompanied by at least one snake, usually several. He was able to communicate with them in a way few understood. His manipulations of djed almost always took a form related to snakes or poison and it is rumored that he had marks of gnosis from Siku, Alvina of snakes, that surpassed even those of Izurdin. Some claim he was a full priest of Siku although such claims are impossible to prove after so much time has passed. Pythone's fate is as much of a mystery as the man was in life. It is said he was given a mission by his mentor, Pitrius; a mission of great importance that he never returned from.

Image

Lavali Pythone

Lavali was Pythone's first granddaughter and one of his favored apprentices. She was most known for her near flawless beauty even among Isur; a beauty that hid a rather cruel persona. Even at a young age, Lavali was adept at one of the more gruesome disciplines of Malediction. Eventually becoming a master Legate, Lavali was feared even by members of her own family. While magecraft was more scientific and refined, Lavali preferred the more personal nature of malediction. When combined with her use of Izentor, truly magnificent though gruesome creations came into being. It is rumored that Lavali, toward her later years, began sacrificing parts of her own body to the art in an attempt to attain some form of immortality. Whether she achieved this or not is unknown however it is said that she died at the unnatural age of 300 years old and that before her death, she ordered her corpse to be hidden away in a secret location that has yet to be unearthed in the many centuries since.

Image

Zyleron Pythone

Zyleron is an instructor at the Silver Tower in the Kingdom of Sultros and expert Reimancer and Auristic. It is rumored that he also dabbles in the forbidden art of Leeching however such rumors are never spoken aloud. Father to Ialari and in line for the position of clan patriarch, Zyleron commands fear and respect from those under him and his influence within the Tower is expansive. Formal, strict and often unforgiving, Zyleron remains dedicated to his family and his clan beyond all else. It is believed that Zyleron commands a select few marks of gnosis from gods other than Izurdin however such conjecture remains just that as none have been able to prove such accusations.

Image

Ivani Pythone

Ivani Pythone is wife to Zyleron and a prominent magecrafter at the Silver Tower. Ivani is a kind, outgoing and generous woman; the exact opposite of her husband. Although vastly different from one another, Ivani and Zyleron are a devoted couple who enjoy the company of the other to anyone else. Their conflicting demeanor balances each other and forms a powerful union. Ivani is one of a handful throughout the Kingdom to bare a third gnosis mark from Izurdin. As such, her works of magecraft are some of the most potent throughout the entire kingdom. One of most patient and light-hearted of the Pitrius clan, Ivani strict beyond measure when it comes to the worship of Izurdin and as an instructor at the Silver Tower, she instills this dedication in all of her students.
