Hi, guys. I will be heading to NYC Thursday and won’t return until Sunday or Monday. I am highly unlikely to do any posting while there though it’s distinctly possible I will reply to PMs. You never know how long I might get stuck in an airport. Anyway, that's happening. I'll be pretty busy and will stop ignoring you when I return.

Life is looking up! I just got hired for a long term writing gig that I have been trying to nail down now for over a year. It’s the right pay, continued contract sort of situation that I have desperately been needing in order to pull in some extra money. (Medical bills suuuuuuck, y’all.) Up until now I have only been able to land one-off odd jobs at sub-standard pay despite my above-entry-level dossier. The market’s sucked. My self marketing has also, admittedly, sucked. My time’s been eaten up by my nine-to-five and doctors and a dozen other excuses. But now! I have something will pull in a decent sum on a regular basis and though this is a time commitment, it is on my time with deadlines which makes it doable. This is sort of a huge deal for me as things have been stressful and tight on the financial front and now we might actually be able to pay down the still accumulating medical debt and breathe. /dances off

Also, you're coming to my neck of the woods in a few days so that's even more exciting. All the good news.

Fantastic! Financial worries are never fun. I am happy for you that you're now enabled to do something you like against a fair payment. If your writing with Caelum is anything to go by, you'll have no trouble whatsoever rocking this job, I am sure!

Thanks, guys! But, yes, New York is an old haunt of mine. I’ll be staying in the Queens/Woodside area and journeying into Manhattan for a series of appointments, a business lunch, cocktails with friends, possibly a swing by the Hayden Planetarium (or maybe the ancient arms and armor exhibit at the MET I cannot decide) and then seeing SLEEP NO MORE. I cannot wait for Sleep No More. Cannot. Wait. And then you know there’s other stuff, just lying around eating and drinking and catching up stuff that will happen. Heh. Can you tell I’m excited? I’m really very excited.

Hi, guys! I’m back home and right back into the fray. I got home after midnight Sunday, made an 8 AM appearance at my office Monday, then disappeared to the hospital for a treatment procedure (highly painful, by the way, and they didn’t warn me until I was already there in a hospital gown and couldn’t make an easy escape – clever), back to work Tuesday, and a tele-conference for the aforementioned writing gig Tuesday night. I hope to be able to plug away at replies this weekend, but how much I get done will depend on what deadline my new publisher and I agree upon for this first draft. There is also at least one player who is getting priority because of their upcoming absence (you know who you are), so everyone else please don’t hate me if I power post for them. Or, you know, hate me, but in retatliation I present to you my official vacation face (aka stupid selfie). In order to properly declare your annoyance with me, you must post your own herein.

Hi, guys! I am trying to wade through thread replies and have made some promises regarding getting some this week to a few of you. I still plan to do that, but I am now scheduled for a surgery this Thursday that was not foreseen and is going to take me out of the game for a few days. Who knows, though, I might have enough brain space to do some Mizaharing (real word) when I can’t work on my paying proposals. Anyway, this is really just to let everyone know I haven’t disappeared. Feel free to drop me a PM or an IM or whatever if you have any questions or just want to send me stupid cat/fox/puppy videos. Or brownies. I really would love some brownies.
