October's Featured Thread! First Date!

I'm doing the review this month and as such its seems natural that I'd pick something from Wind Reach. I have varied interests in reading threads and one of my favorite things to read is Kelvic Bondings. Now, there's some unusual things going on in this thread. First and foremost, it involves two women who fall in love. Secondly, there's all the lovely quirky awkwardness of not knowing what you are doing and feeling things out for the first time. Sira is an unusual circumstance too because her player knows secrets about Wind Reach that she daily has to keep from her bondmate because Wind Eagles have dual purposes in Wind Reach and not only is Sira's player playing a character whose bonded, but she's playing a character that has knowledge and is tasked by the Gods to do certain things that she cannot tell her bondmate. The love dynamic is interesting. Aidara never wanted to be an Endal and never asked for this, but suddenly she finds herself elevated in status in Wind Reach just because she bonded to Sira and has to deal with all those connotations on the side.

So what I really love about this thread is not the simple lovely drama of a first date. But I love what it stands for in terms of both PCs and what it does to change their life. Sira has to be more than Kelvic in this thread. Aidara has to be more than a healer. They are muddling their way through things together... learning that status isn't everything and love is harder than it seems.

Both these pcs are remarkable. So too are the players. Please take a moment and enjoy the thread!
