I made it to Rhode Island in one piece. Still exhausted and out of sorts. I'm still lurking the site and in chat but I don't *really* have the energy to do any posting yet. Unfortunately, I am one of those travelers that gets hit hard by the time change and whatnot. It sucks.

Anywho. Continue to PM me if you need me, I'm still around. Once things die down with friends and family I'll be back for reals.

This is my first time reading any of this or posting here, but I scanned the last couple of pages and had to reply. 1) Phoenix I just LOVE that new template!!!!! *points up* 2) My name is Katie, my PC (one of three) is Euthisa. She's a sweetheart librarian wishing to rise in the caste system. I'm sort of getting swamped with threads for her, but if anyone wants to thread, just shoot me a PM and we can either work it out where you hop into another of my threads or we can plan for a separate thread. However, be warned ahead of time, I'm on here every day even if I don't post, but my posting time frames fluctuate from every day or whenever my turn rolls up, or sometimes it's my turn for a week before I reply. I currently work two part time jobs to help support my mom and one of those jobs just doubled my hours. I'm on here in my free time, at least socializing, but there are days (more than usual recently) where my brain is just too tired to actually post. I will however do so immediately when my brain cooperates. 3) I'm very happy to see more Inarta PC's showing up!!!!!!

We understand busy schedules and hectic lifestyles and I've personally found the staff and players here to be incredibly forgiving. Also, I'm very happy to see more and more Inarta flocking to the site. It makes me a happy Sphinx and I hope this trend continues. Additionally, welcome to Wind Reach, Saphtir! I'm a big fan of Akvatari and kind of make it a challenge to figure out what their names are anagrams of. Hello all!

I have a minor question, and figured I'd ask here rather than nagging anyone with PMs. I was looking over the Seasonal Events and the Perk Points, and just wanted to ask for a minor clarification.

I was planning on doing a fishing thread, as per the Summer Event to bring food in to the city. But I just thought I'd ask... does this require posting anything at the Valintir or some such to 'sign up' for the event, or should I simply write the thread and summarize at the end that the fish were turned over to the appropriate people for food distribution?

Well, I would first suggest messaging Phoenix to get your caste and employment approved. As a musician, I believe you would be of the Chiet caste. If you want to go through the process in character and write your arrival to Wind Reach in character, you should first post in the entrance thread and then in the Valintar. Both locations are moderated, by myself and Phoenix. To fish, I'm going to want to see you purchase the fishing gear, since you don't have any in your CS and opted out of getting the traveler's package. That can be taken care of in the Market, where all needs are found. I'll be glad to moderate your transaction, by the way. To wrap this up, you don't need to sign up for a hunting or fishing expedition, but as it says in the Event post, hunt according to skill and equipped adequately, because we are watching and will jump in, and jumping in could prove to be messy... Speaking of which, I have a monster or two in my arsenal I want to use after a bit of fine tuning and well... I'm planning to use them, if you catch my drift Does this cover everything?

Yup, I already pm's Phoenix about the caste stuff. She suggested I work the arrival to the city into my history and start off as already having been here (even if only for a few weeks).

As for the fishing, instead of a fishing pole, net, and lures, I bought a spear for that. I figure an Akvatari's natural swimming ability and how long they can stay underwater is ideal for some underwater spear-fishing. That seemed like the more 'natural' way for a semi-aquatic race to fish, rather than sitting on land doing it.

And i certainly won't go above my skill level. With only five points in the relevant skills I expect quite a few to get away before I succeed.

I'm glad to see all these new people! It makes me happy! Though I am sorry that I'm not around to help you guys out! Luckily, you have lovely Sphinx.

On that note, I'm back from Pennsylvania and I have two days until I have to travel off and help a friend move to from Rhode Island to DC. In that time I'm going to do my darndest to get all my posts that are due out.
