IC News travels slowly in Mizahar. Fortunately there is a constant stream of news from around campfires, from caravan to caravan and from merchants to merchants. Within this forum lies the best of the best of this talk. Also, within this forum, OOC news from the staff and players can be found. This forum requires all posts to be 'approved' by a Founder before they are displayed. So if you post within, be patient. Your post did display - it simply will not show to everyone until approved as actual 'news'. Please keep all Introductions, Status Updates, and various other discussions in their appropriate forums and leave this area for game news!
This month's thread as always was chosen by last month's winner. Inoadar's thoughts on the thread?
I was interested in finding an earlier story, one long since scrolled off of the current forum boards. This title caught my eye, the thought of troublemakers in Syliras being very appealing to a devotee of Rhysol like myself.
No, in all seriousness, the title promised action and did not disappoint. The players seemed to fall right into the atmosphere at once and there were no contradictions in descriptions or events. All three primary players gave very readable and easy-to-visualize entries that made we want more. It truly piqued memories of biker party atmospheres. Close-pressed brutish drunken testosterone, just waiting for a spark to ignite it into violence. Those involved embracing it fully, those not involved ignoring it as routine, as long as it doesn’t interfere with them. The story, like the fight, spilling out into the street to reach lethal levels. And after the violent climax, the three women, dealing with the horror, shame and guilt of what they’d gotten mixed up in give you the feeling this night will stick with them a long time.
Thank you guys so very much! I had a blast writing with Hadyn and Isolde who both are amazing writers and make a wonderful team! I really enjoyed writing Shiress as a bad girl...maybe too much!
