PUPPIES

Hi Lhavitians,

Unas two dogs Schism and Nalj have had puppies (Oops...), it's too bad she didn't know about canine protection. ;p Anyway, they had 8 puppies (Just below the norm for a Painted Dog since Schism is much larger) and I am looking to give them away/sell them. Una doesn't know anything about dogs and Fai Piramba has been helping her to care for them so they spend much of their time there and in her apartment. They are awkward little tykes aren't they. ;p I will give/sell them to NPC's if no one is interested but I thought it might be fun if a PC or two got a couple.

I am still writing the birthing thread, but they will be born on the 90th of Summer so they wont be ready to sell until next season. I am looking for either 20 Kina each or trading skills/knowledge/traded items. Anything fun.

If you are interested give me a heads up! Below are the two parents and descriptions of the eight puppies. Some of the puppy pictures are obviously much older than they are actually but finding truly representative pictures was difficult considering the odd cross.

Gender: Female
Breed: Painted Mountain Dog
Description: With the coat colour and form of her mother Abalone looks remarkably like her mother. However her demeanor is whole heartedly that of her father. She thrusts herself into anything she has deemed her duty with as much vigour as she can muster but is a calm lap dog once brought into the house preferring to snore and cuddle as her father does.

Breed: Painted Mountain Dog
Description: With the long thick coat of a Moutain dog Acropora has some of the increased softness of colour and form of her mother. With small rounded ears that flop only at the ends and a long tapering nose she is the most skittish of the litter often disappearing under a bed or other furniture when ever the most expected happens. Despite this she is extremely loyal to her playmates and has chased off more than one seemingly ferocious rabbit that threatened her sisters and brothers.

Description: With the harsher slimmer face of his mother Acan looks only like his father in colour and fullness of coat while his slim appearance and wild behavior mark him his fathers son. He encourages trouble among his siblings and is the first to tear into boots or clothes left on the floor.

Breed: Painted Mountain Dog
Description: Despite a blind left eye Astran is very likely the most heroic of the litter and doesn't stand for bullying. He has the short wiry coat of his mother but his mottled black back and spotted shoulders show an awkward display of the matching. His flopping ears are iconically mountain dog while his tiny paws threaten to waver under his weight.

Breed: Painted Mountain Dog
Description: Shy and sweet Chalice plays very little with her rough playmates, preferring the gentle pets of calmer individuals. Incredibly fast on her mothers long legs compared to her siblings she quickly outpaces them when they attempt to bully their much smaller sister.

Breed: Painted Mountain Dog
Description: As quiet as his sister Chalice Monty has the thick fur of the mountain dog but none of the electric colouring of his parents beyond a faint white speckling on his legs. Perhaps this very attribute would lend itself to a hunting dog if its owner spent his or her time developing the puppies confidence.

Description: A typical puppy Nerite is playful and easy going and would make a great first pet for any child. However, he has a wild side like all of his playmates and leaving him alone with a cat or alternative pet may lead to a messy disaster.

So cute! I love that the names have an ocean theme too- it's very fitting. I might have Xylona pick up a pup...or two...She already has one dog, but I'm sure she could cram another in her apartment, and training would be a new adventure for sure.

Abalone and Nerite look sweet to me, but they're all adorable and quirky. I would love to do a thread where Xylona buys them, or she could trade Una for them instead if she has something for her. Either way, we should really set up a thread next season.

Someone else already expressed interest in Abalone ;p But I saved Nerite for you and you're absolutely welcome to pick any other! Perhaps if you were willing to do a longer thread than a simple purchase thread I would love to use your Auristics skills for a specific little plot goal ;p

But if not you are absolutely welcome to buy them straight out I am so glad you love the names, they are very much names Una would pick. Though of course you are welcome to change them. Feel free to PM me when you have chosen another puppy, if you do, and I will put your name on it.
