So, we need some activity here today. Two days until open -- What made everyone here decide to make a Nykan PC? I was hoping Nyka would be open by the time my life settled enough to play. I couldn't ask for better timing.

In truth, I made Volans before deciding what city to go into. I knew I wanted to place him in a city full of mystery and secrets, and Nyka easily fulfilled that. After a bit of PMing with Liar to see how I could work in this little Ethaefal into Nykan society (the outcast/fortuneteller seemed to me a great RPing opportunity), I decided to officially declare him as starting out here.

Truthfully I have a real life interest in jewelry making and I want to pressure certain people whom I know fairly well who've been pressuring me to play to finish certain Gods and Gnosis'. So when I was ready to start and Nyka was ready to open it became a good fit.

Volans, its my understanding Ethaefal fall often into water? Would you like to do a thread in the past where my pc and yours meet perhaps on the day you entered this world? Your CS says you are a year old, so would that not be sometime in 510? I would like to throw that out there if you are interested. My PC is something of a beach bum and a wanderer as he collects flotsam for his work and I think your PC would make an interesting sort of find indeed.

Daeva, Nykans won't be outwardly hostile (not more than they usually are, at least) but they will judge you inwardly! You'll have to stick around for a while, assimilate and prove your worth/devotion, but yes: foreigners are technically allowed to become monks. :P

Volans is trying to do what Liar said, but being a fortuneteller isn't helping!

Anyways, that sounds like it would be fun, Shade. I have it in his CS that he was rescued by Nykan fishermen, but that could easily be construed into meeting Shade. We'll see how that'll work out!
