Also steering back to the trip. I read the threads for the last trip to Darva (there were actually three of them, though the later two were unfinished). Also I read the Circumnavigation of Mizahar and the Codex Xalz. Just some pointers:
- Though there's no mention of it in the Abura Trip Calendar in Aventis' plotnotes, there's supposed to be an 'easy' current that picks up along the shoreline after passing Rockward Island.
- Most of Akvatar is a desert. I didn't know that, but likely most of you did if you read the lore before me. The only vegetation is the oasis of Abura, which has a natural spring that runs year-round. Also to be noted that Abura apparently has horrendous weather, at least when it comes to temperate, and I doubt there's any sort of frequent rainfall there. The lore said in winter the days can be over 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius), and the nights can drop down to the twenties (going into the negatives in Celsius). In the summer, the highest temps reach over 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49 degrees Celsius).
- Darva is almost always covered/surrounded by a fog, but there are apparently no major obstacles (like rocks) in the sea near it that are a danger to ships.
- Darva's made of volcanic rock (which implies that possibly one of its peaks are a volcano, or used to be), and covered in tropical forest. However, the last trip of people who went to Darva found no animals/insects, and it was really really quiet (and creepy --or at least unsettling-- in my opinion). Plus one of the groups found a weird sort of memorial thing that someone must have left there that said Remember. So yeah, creepy.
..Though actually that part's pretty interesting. Kenabelle Wright (who went missing and presumably died on a solo voyage from Zeltiva to Sunberth) had a thing about 'remembering', because of her friend Bethany Edgetower (a linguist who had been marked by Qalaya at least three, maybe four times). Bethany told Kenabelle upon her death: Kena...just remember. That's all it takes...remembering. Everything you see is just the manifestation of memory. And...write it down.
Sunberth's in the wrong direction for Darva, but still. Maybe I'm just a conspiracy theorist. Another possibility: members of Kenabelle's crew might have ended up on Darva, considering that they elected to stay in Abura but eventually left the city and were never seen again.
- It would be cool if one of our characters could get their hands on either An Account of the Circumnavigation of Mizahar, which supposedly you can find in any library in a lot of the countries, so the Knights should likely have a copy, or even a copy of the map of Darva that Charm had before she vanished. Iskessah might even still have the copy that was made last time she went to the island.
Most of this would likely be OOC knowledge since the group doesn't know that they're heading to Darva. But still, thought I'd list it as it might be helpful.

There was the tiny grave holding the tiny body, and another right next to it where hope had been buried.
