Here's the Verusk Fun Fact for Saturday.

The Verusk are slaves. While the ones that have come through the gate came through voluntarily, on the other side of the gate their lives are not their own. They refuse to say who owns them. In fact, their trip here seems to be unknown by their owner. This will come out slowly as the denizens of Syka get to know them better.

The Current Season's Quest has been up since Saturday. I don't want it taking all season. We only have two folks that have joined so far. It has pirates, missing ships, ghostly encounters, and the chance to learn some absolutely interesting lores.

Please get your posts in ASAP. Wednesday I will post the next post and at that point the quest will be closed. Syka has enjoyed having more quests than just about any other domain recently and I feel like you guys are very shy about joining them. You shouldn't be. Join!

Hey Folks!

IRL went to hell in a handbasket last week and I ended up a ball of stress and worry so I put Miz on the backburner. Things are better now, but I forgot the Wednesday funfact and I even forgot the Saturday Verusk funfact.

So here they are together!


The minor wednesday fact should have been: Verusk are vulnerable to mercury. It is incredibly toxic to them in any form.

The major saturday fun fact is that Verusk, much like their Velispar parents, come in all sorts of forms that reflect the elements. Fire, Earth, Air, Water and more importantly paraelements such as Ice, Lightening, etc. They are immune to their element or paraelement if it is something that can normally damage them.

Velispar of the earth can swim through the earth like it wasn't solid. Verusk of the Earth have lost this ability. But they are more comfortable in the earth denning that way and they can sense things through the earth either by vibration (enemies approaching) or something hidden or buried within.

Fire Verusk are not burned by fire and love the heat. Air Verusk can do things with air that will throw people off... including walking a bit on it... not high not long distances, but they can defy gravity. And the list goes on and on.

You may decide which type of Verusk you have.

Sorry I've been so absent lately. I've had some issues irl I've been dealing with that have left me little to no energy or enthusiasm to write. It's getting better but I'm still going to be playing catchup for a while.

I have your Verusk funfact for Wednesday. It's a minor one, but then again, they all can't be huge reveals.

Verusk rarely forget a slight. They can and will hold grudges for a lengthy time and often regardless of the temperament of an individual tend to have a very slow fuse. Once lit, however, it tends to go off with a bang. The are smart - which I will get into more on Saturday - and use that intellect to thier distinct advantage.

Hello people!

I haven't been very active those days and I want to let you guys know that I'll likely be a bit quiet for the next few weeks. Life is super busy at the moment and I'm not sure when I'll have time and a situation stable enough to write much (I'm in the process of moving countries so there's a looooot to do).
