I will not do any more posts in this thread. It's an open social thread for you guys to make of what you will. If moderator intervention is needed, I can step in at that point, but otherwise I'm bowing out. This also allows my PC to join and gain her Verusk as well.

It would be helpful if you all remember to post arrival and departure posts in the thread. When everyone's gone I can grade it and take it down from being a sticky.

Aladon wants to concentrate on an alt this season so hes going to put his Verusk up for adoption too. That means we have two left. Feel free to claim them if you are interested.

Aladon's Verusk has magic too.... shielding. You can keep that trait.

I'm only going to have ten and I'm definitely going to add them into the city directory after the season is over... so think carefully when you develop them.

Dropping in to say that I love the Verusk idea and although I won't be able to develop one myself (I'll likely be away from writing for a month this season so unable to keep up with the requirements) I'd love for Ixtli to interact with them,
and also meet other Syka resident. Hit me up with a PM if you wanna hang out

Graders... we have 9 grades holding. Can we get some of those cleaned up? I've been hard at work lately doing ST stuff and haven't had much time. I've also got ten or so grades to do before I can get to Syka's thread that I promised a neglected PC I would do.. .so those get priority.

If your name isn't on this list below.... ask yourself WHY?!?! Are you seriously slacking with your PC in Syka? Did you do your intro threads or job threads? Are you following this OOC thread and the assignments I give in it? If your name doesn't get on this list this season, the Founders will boot you for inactivity and lack of contribution to the settlement. Once you've completed a land claim thread and gotten a nod from a Founder for a contribution duty/job ... and you've put in a request for a job in the request thread.... you need to writeup your land claim location. It needs to be on the codex. It needs to be specific as to where it is.

Hi guys!

We are halfway to the Saturday Verusk Fun-Fact Reveal.... that means we are doing racial on Verusks once a week on Saturday to flesh out the race more. And I will do bonus reveals on Wednesdays if everyone steps up (like they have this week to post their Verusks!) And I might give you another assignment since its past midweek.

The only person that didn't post their Verusk was Nya. The rest of you get extra Kudos and a mini fun fact reveal. That reveal is.... none of these Verusks have ever seen jungle before. Most of them have not been in a 'Wilderness' situation at all. They come from an extremely different climate (that will be revealed in the quest - I cant spoiler those guys too much) so...

Your mini assignment until Friday is to 'Fine-Tune' your Verusk postings. I think all of you have had a chance to really THINK about the personality of your NPC and what they are like. Go back and revisit their skills. Do they have Wilderness Survival? Remove it! None of them have it. It is not necessary for an NPC to be 'well rounded' in all sorts of skills that keep them alive. It is more important for an NPC to have skills that make sense for their character concept. So if you have an NPC that is good at something like BUILDING, don't give them COMBAT... because they are more a craftsman than a fighter.

Is your NPC an odd socialite? Remove weapons and give them more socialite skills. Does their Gnosis fit? Would another (even if its not developed) work better? It looks to me like a lot of you put a great deal of thought into your Verusk NPCs. Some skills fit the concept very very well, and some just looked like maybe you were creating an insta-teacher for your PC for an odd skill you might want to learn later.

So... streamline. And if we all do a great job, I'll give you an extra WOW fun fact Saturday.
