Lost Possession Challenge
You can learn a lot from a character based off their possessions. Their likes, dislikes, hobbies, as well as their standard of living. They are the things they find that are worth keeping for one of a few reasons. Either that item was very expensive, it is very practical and frequently used, or it holds sentimental value to the character. But what would happen if you character lost an item of importance? For this weekend challenge, every character that signs up must lose possession of an item that they deem important in their lives; whether it is their Heirloom, an item they saved up a lot of money to acquire, something that took them a long time to make, or a gift given to them by someone every important to them. This can take place in one thread or over the course of several threads. And it is up to you whether they manage to recover their lost item or not.
Prizes will be granted to those that manage to write at least one thread that is 2,000 words in length on this topic. There will be bonuses granted for every 1,000 written words above the initial threshold. For those that manage to write 5,000 words in their threads relating to the loss of a possession, there will be a greater prize rewarded. For every 2,500 words written beyond the 5,000 words mark there will be a bonus granted.
