Basic Information :
Race: Human
Birthday & Age : 77th of Summer, 493 AV (17 years old)
Gender: Female

Aesthetics :
The girl is only 5’7” so we don’t have far to go.

The very top, the hair, is short and auburn. Reddish-brown and straight as straw it’s too short to be pulled into a proper ponytail, and instead spends much of its existence tied up in a stubby mockery of one. Her bangs are too short to be tied back so far from their roots and flop stubbornly into her face and eyes. These eyes are a murky, nondescript greenish-brown, or brownish-green, depending on the light, and beneath the dirt her skin is fair with a few rare freckles bursting through on her cheeks and nose. These though, simply look like more dirt most of the time, and shock her friends with their sudden appearance after a rare wash.

The face is thin and angular, like the rest of her nearly adult body, which is void of any notable womanly curves. The head rests on a sinewy neck, whose lean muscles snap it about in excitement and anger equally well. Her muscles are wiry cords beneath her skin, and add some weight to her form. She comes up around 135 lbs, not heavy, but not so light that it’s a simple task to toss her across Tall Johnny’s cage floor. And though she may have lifted a few crates for coins on occasion fighting is the source of her strength. Her scars too, and these are scattered across her youthful skin generously.

She covers her body with an odd collection of clothes. Her shirt was once white; it also once belonged to a man at least six inches taller and a good deal wider than she. Its fabric is held from the brink of chaos by thoughtfully places rags of a variety of dingy colors; some bind the sleeves, wrapped around the arms at different positions; another, wider, scarf-like band serves as a belt, completely engulfing her waist and several folds of the shirt, which still falls to mid-thigh. The neck, like the rest of the garment, is too large, and falls low enough that the thick cloth she wraps around her chest can be seen. Over it all she wears a patchy item that is almost black, almost grey and looks like the unfortunate offspring of an overcoat and a vest. The button up item is long enough to reach her knees but has no sleeves to speak of. Despite the fraying hems the insides are filled with pockets, rings for rope and the rest of the trappings of a burglar’s vest. In these pockets she keeps all sorts of little items, some useful, some just the nasty crumbs of meals that worm their way underneath her finger nails when she shoves her hands into the pockets. These grimy little hands are dexterous and protected by padded, fingerless gloves with brass studs on the knuckles which add a bit of punch to her… punch. The pants the girl wears aren’t anything more than another chronicle of holes in brown fabric. There’s an especially remarkable one at her left knee, under which she has seen fit, for some unfathomable reason, to tie another rag. Lastly, her boots: calf-high and reinforced by the grime of too many years, some of the holes have almost been patched up by the muck sticking to them.

To sum up: dirty, skinny girl with enough muscle to pack a wallop, no sense of her dress size, and an unhealthy fascination with rags.

Character Concept :
Eleanor does not like being called Eleanor, and anyone outside her family refers to the young woman by her last name.

Her personality could be described as domineering, or perhaps just over enthusiastic. Most of Eleanor’s life in Sunberth has been devoted to building up a reputation, and plotting about how to best go about that. She wants to be remembered when she dies, and not by just her friends and family and the people whose teeth she’s knocked out, but by the world. A tricky thing to do for a street rat of Sunberth. In seventeen years she has become an expert at feeding her ambitions.

Eleanor’s ethics are vague and her temper is short, but her ambition is greater than both. It’s her goal of ultimately reaching a higher place that drives her actions. Though she could easily run about Sunberth making enemies, and she certainly has a few, the girl would rather make alliances lest someone more powerful decides to put a wrench in her workings. That’s not to say she’s always acted honorably, but she has worked hard to put herself on good terms with the folks in high places. In Eleanor’s mind every action, every day is slowly stacking up until the moment when she can rise to the top. She’s tried her best to place the pieces carefully, and will do almost anything to keep her tower from crumbling.

Let me say one more thing about Eleanor Drayton’s goals before we move on. Miss Drayton doesn’t desire power, though she doesn’t shun it. What she wants is simply fame, and the immortality of a name that will be told in the history books.

Her personal relationships rarely develop into anything more than shallow friendships or alliances. The girl is obsessed with moving beyond Sunberth and earning her glory, and this usually creates a distance between herself and those who would get to know her better. She has never learned to read, though she paid a man once to teach her to write her name. She has an intense phobia of birds, which she has explained in these words, “It’s all the flapping, seems unnatural.”

Pre-Creation :
Eleanor Audrey Drayton was born to a thief and a seamstress in Sunberth , her younger brother, Benjamin, followed two years later; that was the last thing her followed her in. As a child Eleanor had boundless energy, and, if she couldn’t expend it with her friends on the streets, brought that energy home to her younger brother. He quickly began to resent her bossing, shoving and manipulating, and fell into the corner of the small home while Eleanor devoured their parents’ attention.

The young girl was ravenous. She listened well enough to her parents instructions and did her chores regularly, until the routine began to feel too predictable. On occasion she would break something, or hide it, or perhaps just run off for a night or two. But never were two outbursts close to one another, never were they serious, and in the periods between Eleanor was a good daughter and her parents prized her. Growing up she helped both parents at work, mother in the day, father at night.

When Eleanor was ten her mother fell ill and passed away. Now the child had nothing to occupy her days and began running about the streets of Sunberth with the other children, where gangs and factions were already beginning to form.

In the past years she’s grown restless and resentful of her father, a man who is content to remain an unknown thief, hidden in the shadows. Shadows her brother faded into many years ago. So she left. Eleanor has begun living with a small group of teenagers in a dilapidated structure on the edges of Sunberth. It keeps the rain off, mostly.

Well, I have to write it first.

There's nothing wrong with teenagers that reasoning with them won't aggravate.
