Okay, I guess I am officially back, though I haven't been able to get into a writing mood really. Everything has finally settled with the new apartment, and my new position at work is going smoothly. I can't really post at work anymore, not right now anyway, so I'll slow down a bit, but I should still be posting pretty close to the same speed I was before. ..once I get back in the mood to write. Right now I am just mentally exhausted. I have a crazy story to tell, but I don't feel like it yet. Let's just say this has not been one of my more pleasant moves. Anyway, hopefully I'll be back up to speed soon. That is all. ~V

Okay.. there is something really strange going on. A week or two ago we had a problem with Gexa energy where they double charged us for our bill, but their records showed only a single charge. They told me that this apparently has happened to a lot of people this month and they don't know what was going on, but they refunded us. I just assumed it was a glitch in their system. But now, today, we were charged a random $110 from the gym, at the same time that we were charged our regular membership dues. I called the gym asking about it and, once again, this random charge does not show up in records. Also when I called the 1 800 number was busy... which means they were getting lots of calls about something. She didn't mention this happening to other people, but it makes me wonder. Which also makes me wonder what the hell is going on? Where are these charges coming from, who is doing it, and how? For it to happen once is just annoying, but for it to happen again, the exact same story, but a different company.. that is just too strange to be a coincidence. Something is going on.

So I've played around with this stuff before, but I stumbled across something super awesome looking while trying to come up with a pretty looking title effect for a thread I made. I ended up not using it because it didn't really fit the feel of the thread, but it looks awesome and I fully intend to use this at some point: Totally for a Ghost Thread Yeah, I know it looks epic. I made it.

WTF? Yeah... so last night we were having a good time. Kimmie came over, we went bowling, drank a bit, then wasted an hour or hanging out in the parking lot so we wouldn't get stopped by the cop sitting there waiting for drunk people to leave. After that we went to walmart, got some icecream, and then started coming home. Almost home... We see a pair of shoes in the road which I avoid because I always avoid anything I see in the road. Then we see what might have been a body. I slow down but go around as our minds process what we just saw. We weren't certain of what we saw, it was late and it was raining. Then we see the busted up remains of a bicycle. We knew we couldn't just leave him, if it was indeed a body we saw. So I speed down to the next U-Turn and come back around (this was on a busy feeder road, still semi busy even at 3am.) We watched so many cars go by on the other side and not even slow as they swerved to avoid the debris. We finally get back around and it is indeed a body. We stop and jump out of he car. Kimmie is a surgical technician who works in ER and she immediately goes to check on him, then backs away in shock. He was dead, already starting to go stiff. Now, I don't know how long that takes to set in, but she said it meant he's been there a while. We were already on the phone with 911 telling them we might have seen a body. I think they thought we were crazy until Kimmie announced that the man was dead and Kelsey immediately switched from calm to breaking down in tears. Within seconds after that we heard sirens and the cops arrived. They asked us if we'd seen what happened and we told them no, we found him like he was. They told us we could go. As we were diving away we paid closer attention to the debris. The bike was utterly destroyed, and there was a bumper to a chevy truck even further down the road. It was a hit and run. Now.. I'm not saying I condone the action, but I can understand the mindset behind a hit and run. You don't want to go to prison.. I get it. It's wrong, but I get it. What I cannot understand is how so many people could have gone by him for so long, and not one person stopped. There are always people on that part of the feeder, all night long. And he'd been there long enough for rigor to start to set in. What is wrong with people!? How can you drive by like that, how can so many people drive by for that long, and we are the first people to stop? Are there really that many indecent people in the world, who wont even stop to check on a boy in the middle of the road!? ..now.. I don't know how old this person was. But the bike was small, and he was small. Like, young teenager small. That doesn't mean he couldn't have been a grown man, I've seen lots of small grown men riding kids bike. He was wearing a heavy jacket and his face was to the road, so I couldn't tell. But it cold have been a kid. And not one person stopped.. *Sigh* I guess that's it for my rant for now... that is all. ~V

Sadly V thinks like that happen here all the time. We have people that will hit motorcyclists or people on bikes and just drive off. and given how many people have cell phones around here you think someone would take time to call it in.

recently me and my husband were coming back from a trip to a local shopping outlet mall like place and came up to a crossing where part of the road went under a overpass, we couldn't understand why people were slowing down and then moving over to the left before driving on. Then we learned why, there was a body in the road next to a busted up motorcycle. My husband started to drive around while I went for my cell phone, it was then I noticed the blood coming from the person's head and freaked out.

thankfully we caught a cop and pointed out the accident to him, but sadly we knew the victim was most likely dead, that it had been a hit and run by a semi-truck and yet so many people were just driving around the body like it was nothing more then some dog or road kill animal and not a human being losing his life... what was even worse was the fact this guy had been wearing a helmet and the crash had knocked it off before his head hit the concrete.

sadly to many people just seem to not care anymore... and never think how they would feel it it was them in that spot or a family member.
