That’s simple, let’s add some shared goals on top of your personal ones. Nothing like everyone being on the same team, after all. So, here’s stats for the previous two editions of NaNo on the site.

Here’s the deal. Upon reaching some word count milestone, the community gets to unlock something, Kickstarter-style. I am going to add a few rewards of my own, but others feel free to join in. I’m setting the bar pretty high for these, based on last year’s results and our community growth over the past year - you’ll have to earn them.
At 3,500,000 words: Tarot will post a new monster in December.
At 4,000,000 words: Tarot will post a new discipline of magic in December.
At 5,000,000 words (Tay’s word goal): Tarot will sing a song of the community’s choosing in December and possibly play musical accompaniment.
Hopefully
that will get you writing. Now, without further ado, here’s the rankings.
That is awesome! This has kick-started me into writing.
Today, I am at 173rd place and quite happy of that. Good luck to everyone! Remember, this is a team event. We all get judged on Miz's total output, not how we do individually.
That being the case, I'm starting a dream thread that all are invited to join in on. It's a party, a masquerade ball with dancing and ... whatever the powers-that-be throw in. Post once with 10 words or 100 or a 1000; or post 10 times.
All are welcome. Bring your PC boyfriends, girlfriends and lovers. Eat! Drink! Dance!
