So, tell us! What are your PC's Goals for NaNoWriMo?

So, feel free to share your goals and plans with us. This always helps when it comes down to getting your stuff done!

My goals for Kendall (since I am most likely doing NaNoWriMo with him)...

First off, I wrote about a lot of my goals for Kendall here. They were mostly skill and Gnosis dreams but still, it was nice to sort out my thoughts

Along with the dreams mentioned in the link above, I also really want Kendall to get his skills in drawing, singing, and dancing up. I also want to do some prayer threads to Ivak and Oriana (once I finish up the threads where Kendall learns about Oriana).

Most of all, I just want to make sure to keep up with the pace. I tend to get lazy and slack off with the thought process of "I'll make it up tomorrow" and I never do.

I made a list myself of the threads and the dates I want them on my PC's calendar. I know that I will be able to get this done as long as I have a clear goal in mind. List follows...

I love those calendar notes, I'm sitting here giggling to myself making my dog wonder if I'm healthy:)

I still can't really decide if I'm going to use Skugga, who I can write well with and use for several solo threads, I have six or seven years of flashbacks available here. Or if I'm gonna use Sabe, she's new but I have some ideas for her too, though I'm leaning towards Skugga. Arrgh, I hate decisions :disgust:

The goals I have are categorized ICily and OOCily. Below are my OOC goals to translate into a November game plan. I have various plot notes and lists diagramming the IC goals per thread, but I’m sure no one really wants to have me outline those here like a giant geek.

Caelum

Get Caelum to Denval so Tabernac Doesn’t Kill Me

Riverfall thread w/ Kavala (season of passage: in progress)
Alavadas thread w/ Ifran (dark side of the sun: permissions granted, needs begun)
Dream thread w/ Sitkanis (four letter words like home: in progress)
Dream thread w/ Sondra (High & Dry: in progress)
Some solo thread or another, work on Wilderness Survival, Herbalism, Riding, etc (Break down, do a freaking training thread and try not to cry too much while doing it.)
Seriously contemplate a tea kettle piggy thread to make Cayenne giggle and wrangle someone, somewhere to do it with me for a lark. (Note to self: Try very hard to get Caelum to sell them for money or eat them for food versus keeping adorable piggy pet like an emo nance.)

Arrive in Denval and Don’t Die (ICily or OOCily)

Ethaefal thread w/ Nashira, Sitkanis, Lysander & Xelhes
Juggle whatever Tabernac smacks me upside the head with
Work on Skills: Medicine, Herbalism, Glyphing, Projection, etc. He needs everything, really. (OMG, training threads, blerg. Do it anyway, Katie. Do eet.)
File second mark Rak’keli gnosis request, bother the heck out of Tabernac to head it up and when he says no go bribe someone else.

Further Flesh Out All of that Backstory In Your Head

Ravok history Solo (stir with mighty song: permission granted, needs begun)

Katie..... that just makes me tired.

I clearly am approaching this far less prepared than some of you.

Just. Wow.

My plan is... to... er... write.

We'll see if I get more organized, or crash and burn. I've never NOT finished NaNo, but I've never done it on a rp site either, so... Erk. We'll see.

My plan for Aidara isn't as set in stone as some of yours. I find it is easier for me to write with her if I don't have a schedule. She was my first PC and when I created her, I didn't really have a goal. So she just kind of "is" until someone or something epic abducts her for a greater purpose.

So, for the most part, my goal is going to be more skill based than plot based. Because Addy is bonded to Sira, and Sira can't barely leave Wind Reach, major travel is out of the question, meaning I also don't have to plan for that. The only major plan for a journey is after the baby is born, which is in December.

I have been feeling lately that most of my posts are character development, which I really enjoy. However, I have also realized that if I want to really develop Addy, then I have to also get her skills beefed up or she is going to be pretty useless.

Her second Gnosis is already started, so other than that I need to up her archery/hunting, herbalism, philtering, healing and maybe one other fun skill that I haven't thought of yet. Depending on what Sira wants to do, I sense a lot of solo's in my future.

Another thing that I need to add, mostly to remind myself: The first part of November is going to be super important. I need to get most of it done then, since I am traveling home for Thanksgiving and that is almost a week that I won't have as much time to write as usual...

however, there is that 11 hour plane ride...

Cailet... Oh, Cailet.

How much promise you have. If only I knew how to get started. I'm a little bit worried about my plan for Cailet, because I have just a very vague plan of what I want to do (which I also don't really want to mention yet

) Solo's are an option, but it also seems like that would be really hard.

So I'm thinking very soon I'm going to have to drag Jen into a conference and have her help me flesh this out before I start wrangling people into the cause. I just wanted to get this up and out there incase anyone is looking for their PC to travel during their Nano post fest. If so, contact me.

Okay, I changed from Goshawk to Siofra. =) I will be using Siofra in Alvadas as a NaNo PC.

Goals:

To get in a long-term relationship.
To meet several more people.
To begin Animating.
Hypnotism must be done *try not overgive*
Seduction. A must have in any long-term relationship.
Kill someone.
Try not to die.
Go to the House of Broken Mirrors.
Kill someone else.
Maybe die, if time allows or she gets too bored.

Oh!

Try and not get too bored.
