[Wind Reach OOC] Touching The Sky

Hi guys!

I'm just popping in to let you know I'm super swamped in real life. Yesterday I had a day off work for a wedding which I took all day to cook for... then all evening to help clean up form. During the course of that, the Pacific Northwest got a small blizzard and we're all torn up traffic wise so my work has gotten kinda crazy. I'm going in today an hour and a half early so I won't be doing any posting. I'll get off early and things should be back to normal tomorrow. I will most likely have to work Saturday as well so don't expect much weekend activity.

Sorry folks! I'm just trying to keep everyone informed. Its that iffy transitional time in the northwest so we can't really help it.

Hey guys!

I was thinking about looking into a thread in which Twik tries to lure a whale up out of the briney deep of Thunder Bay with a song so that we can kill it and not starve. Anyone interested? I'd need someone brutely to do that actual killing, and someone eagley to fly me down. Note: I'm not at all sure that I can do it, but where is the fun in certainty?

Twik, that sounds amazing and I would love to help if we can actually do that. I have and eagle and archery skills. I'm not sure how well arrows can take down a whale though XD Anyways, I'm in

I suspect that the problem with acrchery VS whales is that whales tend to sink when dead. Harpoons allow one to attach a rope.

Rawr. That sounds like ridiculous fun.

I'd think spears would be better than arrows, but a bunch of arrows would still be fun. Also, fishing arrows are usually attached to some sort of line ... but it would still take a lot of arrows. And ropes.

Anyway, I think I might finally be un-busy enough tomorrow to post. Whee.

You could fell a tree and have an eagle drop it debranched and pointy-fied on the whale's head.

Hi Guys-

Just checking in.

The season has changed. Expect a new Calendar very soon.

If anyone made the thread challenge, let me know so I can grade and award your medal! New challenges will be up very shortly.

I'm going to make this weekend a priority for cleaning out the XP Requests so all the threads in there will get graded. I'll also post up the new calendar and as of the 92nd of Winter the road is open to thunder bay. The next three months will be devoted to developing Thunder Bay and getting some threads going there. I absolutely have to go to my mom's house and steam clean her carpets ( she has a new puppy ugh! ) but unless I have to work last minute (which I don't think I'll have to as of right now) I'll be around Saturday night and all day sunday to get these things done.

I'll update the snow battle sometime in the next 24 hrs too. Please let me know if anyone needs anything. I think Phoenix and I are the only active mods in WR atm... so direct all your questions and needs our way!

Hio My Fellow Gingers,

Since Vala works in the Enclave I thought I could start an open thread event in the Enclave, where all the new and old gingers can mingle.

Idea:
~Story Telling Contest/Event in the Storyteller Well.
~All classes would be welcome.
~I'm not sure if there would be a prize since my PC is too poor to come with anything.
~ PC's can either tell a story or just listen if they're not the type to do something like that.
~ Storytelling and Socializing XP Anyone!?

So either PM or post if you're interested. I'm hoping to get at least 4 people to do this so that it actually seems like a storytelling get-together, instead of Vala just talking to herself...
