I invited a person to Miza, they are looking to play a captive and want to know whether they should be a male or a female. I said it didn't matter but I am now being forced to ask about the current ratio of participants. *glares over shoulder*

To my understanding, the Drykas are really only kidnapping women and children, not able bodied men.

I may be wrong.

This PC has the Blight gnosis. As such, you as a player need to be aware of what that consists of. Wrenmae has an invisible aura that amplifies sickness and disease. Wounds may become infected, small sneezes may become coughing, and a slight fever may become more serious. A nuit's body will also break down faster in the presence of the Blight. These effects may not be immediate, but within the few days following your encounter, the symptoms will manifest. Some sooner than others. I cannot control your character, so creativity will be left up to you. Best wishes and stay healthy!

Special shoutout to Fallon for my new CS

That's about correct, I believe. Though the Drykas were out to increase their numbers as much as possible, women and children were considered a higher priority then men, if only because the raiders thought they would find it easier to adapt to an entirely new way of life. Men were, generally, deemed too likely to attempt escape or to stir up various other forms of discontent.

That said, if a male volunteered the raiding parties would be more then happy to take him. In terms of ratios though, Endrykas seems to have a few more female player characters than male. I take no responsibility for the problem. :)

Some of the captives were willing like Alexio, I cant see why another male wouldn't do the same.

Yes but I imagine that willing people aren't really captives. They are simply adopted into Drykas families easily. Alexio has an interesting back story where he "willingly" came but only because his sister was basically going to be kidnapped and he couldn't stop it. SO rather then go back to Syliras he "chose" to come with his sister and become Drykas.

Just to clear this up, you're all right to some degree. The ratio is about 10:1 favoring the women. Men were seen as too troublesome to bring to Endrykas; they have stronger bodies, more boisterous minds, and less susceptibility to falling in love. Also, when a man has a child, it does not have the same effect on their mind as it does a woman. When a woman has a child, it becomes their anchor. Also, keep in mind that a large majority of those taken were children because they can adjust to a new lifestyle the most easily.

Women and children were snatched from the Kabrin road and near the walls of Syliras; men had to find the camp themselves or put themselves in a predicament where there was nothing that they could do but be taken. But, this does not mean that the men will be entirely happy with their new lives, so I can see some trouble stirring up in the future. ;)

Hello, I'm that person that was forcing Karliah to ask about the ratio.

Good to meet all of you fine people. I haven't gotten my character sheet up yet, but I will in the next day or so. ^_^ Then I can take a place on that auction stage.
