62nd of Fall, 511AV

Pushing open the doors to the cabin, Aurore breathed heavily to help calm her nerves. Okay, you've made it this far. Just ask her for a room. No big deal, she shouldn't be too startled by you, She reassured herself.

She walked up to the counter, adjusting her belongings on her back. Being so tall, she felt awkward looking down at the woman sitting at the desk. She felt like a giant.

"Hello there, I'd like a cabin, please. I'm going to be in Avanthal until the end of Winter, I'm sure."

Jennai looked up from the book she was reading to see a tall, pale woman. She seemed friendly and kind enough. The Vantha smiled lightly as she closed the book.

"Will it just be you dear? A single cabin?"

The prices did not differ for the amount of people in the cabin, just the number of rooms. The woman seemed to be traveling alone, but it was always important to ask.

"I'm afraid so," She replied. The woman had a kind voice, and her smile was warm. Aurore found it comforting, and she smiled back, forgetting the fear she had of showing her large canine teeth.

"I'm here looking for..." She paused, swallowing the lump in her throat. "I'm here in the city looking for my family," She said finally. "So a single room will be fine for me."

The woman took a note in her records before dipping below the counter. "One room it is. That will be one gold rimmed Miza a day, payable when you leave." When she resurfaced, a metal key was in her hand. "You'll be in cabin 13. One room, small kitchen, and a living space. Of course, what is a trip to the Everwinter city if you do not try the Winterflame food!"

With a small nod, the woman handed the key over. "I hope you find them. Enjoy your stay."

Iris walkes through the door. She takes a deep breathe and smiles at the sight of the woman. How long it had been since she had last spoken to another female.

"I.. Uh, I need a room." She quitely says, setting her deer skin bag on the ground. "Just one person." She adds quickly.

It's not like there would be anyone else, who is there? Everyone had walked out..

Hello Natalie98. Welcome to Mizahar. Before you can post in the forums in character, you need to make a character sheet as well as change your username to your character's name. Once that is done, I'll remove this intervention and we can talk about getting your character some housing.

You can find character sheets here and you can change your username here. Let me know when it is all straightened out and if you need any help, don't be afraid to ask.

OOCLet me know if the font is eye strainful, I can change it
The Savintar Warrens.

He had admittedly gotten lost trying to find the place though it wasn’t entirely his fault whenever he entered a new city he always felt an awe that made him want to explore the new shops (and women) that littered the area. It helped that is was cool and crisp too, he was never one for the heated summers.

Still upon entering the small room another grin lit his features, small and quaint, featuring lounge chairs and tidy desk. All in all it was a comforting room and behind the desk sat the owner or who he assumed was the owner, “Hello, lovely.”

The words had no ulterior motive, it was simply the way he greeted most women and he did not really pay much attention except for a quick grin as he dropped his pack to the floor, digging around for his coin.

“I’d like a single room, if you don’t mind.” He slid the coin across the counter with one hand while his other tied and rearranged his bag. “I will be staying most indefinitely but unfortunately I’m running short on Miza so I’ll only be paying for today until I get a job.”

14th of Spring, 512AV

Perrin followed the directions the Vantha had given him from the Stables. The city was a mess - it had inexplicably moody residents, and there was incredible flooding from the snowmelt. It was an odd time to arrive, he thought. Perrin had never seen Avanthal in the snow. He wondered if this was a machination of Lhex.

After a few more seconds, he realized that he was just standing in the doorway to the Warrens. Starting, he moved towards the main desk. He set the heavy saddlebags he had been carrying on the ground and swung his pack off of his shoulders. Nodding at the inn-keeper and her grandchild, he drew a leather-bound box from the pack. Perrin pulled a key on a leather thong out of his shirt and unlocked it. "I was told that I could rent a one room cabin for one gold miza per night," he said. He began counting the coins out of the box.

After a few seconds, twenty gold mizas sat on the desk, in four neat stacks of five. He closed the lockbox's lid, relocked it, and replaced it in his pack. Gesturing to the coins, he said, "I'd like to rent a cabin for twenty days, paid up front." Nodding to the inn-keeper, he took his key, gathered his things, and departed.

Syna's warmth greeted him as he stepped outside - an unusual experience in Avanthal, he supposed. Perrin quickly took his saddlebags to his cabin and deposited them there. Just as quickly, he departed for the stables once more, his mind set on determining the prices for stabling Civil.

1st of Summer 512AV

Balthazaar stumbled through the doors of the Savintar Warrens. It had been several days of camping around randoms spots in the city that has finally driven him to seek a more comfortable living situation. The atmosphere of the Warrens was chaotic; the drastic change in the environment of the city had caused a shift in mood in almost every inhabitant of Avanthal and it showed when the greeting at the door was less than welcoming. Brushing past a group of travelers who were packing their things to leave, Balthazaar made his way towards the inn-keeper who seemed to have her hands full trying to keep the building neat and tidy. Instead of the interrupting the woman in the midst of her activities, he decided to wait patiently at the desk for her to finish.

Luckily it didn’t take long for the woman to notice his presence and greet him with a kind smile. The exchange between the two didn’t take long, not one for small talk Balthazaar politely rushed the conversation along. The woman seemed pleased about this, as she was itching to get back to what she had been doing before. Not knowing how long he would be there, he decided to pay 30 days rent and informed her that his stay may be extended, depending on how things went for him in this city. Accepting the money with a smile, the woman handing the young man the key to his cabin and pointed him in the right direction. Happily taking the key from her, Balthazaar gathered his things and made his way swiftly to his cabin.

Postby Ronan Dugal on March 21st, 2013, 5:04 am

Spring, 6th, Year 513

Today, the Savintar Warrens was graced with a (self proclaimed) important presence. Ronan Dugal, hungry, cold and unprepared for the state of the Avanthal roads, walked through the front door of the establishment. The dog was right on his heels, even though Ronan had told him to stay outside. The horse and cart stayed outside as well, since neither one could fit through the door even if they wanted to. A quick look around let Ronan know that this was a respectable place to stay, unlike most of the places he had been living in in Syliras.

"I'm looking for one room for an... extended stay, let's say. One guest. The dog will stay outside if required. And do you have a stable for the horse? And something to eat for all of us?" Straight to the point, no hassle, Ronan leaned on the counter, observing the lady in front of him and the room around him. Pulling the hood off of his head, Ronan revealed his long black hair and the (usually considered) handsome features of his face. The snow fell down from his clothes as he moved and the warm and welcome heat in the room was already melting most of it.
