Baelin, well depends on the intensity, and the fact that the knights have the Sylir marks which(even though nothing's been written for it yet) I heard helps root out distress and problems. I don't exactly remember who told me that, maybe I'm just pulling crud outta my butt, but still the knights would look into it, no reason a civilian would lie about the person protecting him/her.

It's talked about in the Knight lore a little...

There is a noted lack of arrogance, corruption, and brutality among the Knighthood. In fact, individuals that display such unfavorable traits rarely rise in the ranks at all. Knights tend to show strong productive traits - generosity, patience, integrity, tolerance, and high levels of honor. If they fail to have these traits, the Gods that aid the Knighthood will turn disapprovingly towards the individuals. Also, the Wind Oak, a fragment monster of the God of Peace - Sylir - always gives a knight their quest for knighthood. If a knight is lacking in integrity and personal honor, they will not be given their quest and not be allowed full membership into the Knighthood.

I've always viewed it more that the Knights may be harsh in their methods but the ultimate goal is always to protect the people of the city, or the city as a whole. Sacrificing the few for the many kind of mindset. I think any corruption or abuse of power would be weeded out pretty quick at the first mention of it. The extremity of measures taken to protect people or cut out crime is a bit of a grey area that could easily crop up though. How far is going too far in the name of protecting the city?

Good to hear there's enthusiasm for exploring it in any case! I'll have a ponder, set something up and then let you guys know in case it's something you want to join in on. Then we can build it up with Sayana's plots in the Summer!

Devi, I think that sort of thing would definitely still allow the Knights to - maybe not harass but at least loom over a bit the 'undesirables' - those races who are viewed with extreme prejudice in other domains - in the city; particularly if people made complaints about feeling uncomfortable or threatened by their presence, maybe misinterpreting some actions. Either way, this Zith is still up for any Knights/Squires who want to come try to intimidate him or what have you Just shoot me a PM first.

The Storehouse Massacre is now closed to people for joining. We have reached the optimal amount and have given the appropriate amount of time to allow players to engage in the quest line. This thread will be a self-moderated epic questline involving some interesting RP styles in the case of a experimentation I wanted to perform. All players have agreed upon said things and here is the initial PM that was sent to them in response of their interest in the thread.

Storehouse Massacre

Aranta, Hwyn, Jade Laken, Ferrin Al'Mandrikan

The start of the Storehouse Massacre occurs at night, during a storm. It is likely that your character could have been around the area of the docks during that time. Which is at the 22nd bell. In the area your character would generally feel very strange and start to act out of the normal when approaching the door. If your character heard the screams or saw Shimoje standing there strangely your character would not engage straight away (this is to allow the storyline to develop.)

Once Shimoje is knocked out, if your character enters the Storehouse you will find no signs of Shimoje whatsoever.

If your character has very high observation you might be able to see a strange mist appear from the darkness. If your character does not have high observation you will see nothing. There will however be no distinguishable figure at first.

Every so often I will post a response unrelated to Shimoje – this will be strictly like a “storyteller” post to tell you what is occurring while you character enters the storehouse, what they might see, and to paint a better picture for your character. I am experimenting with this RP style and may consider making a post after each players turns. Turns will be like the following

Shimoje (PC),
Hwyn (PC), Shimoje (Ghosts&Environment)
Aranta (PC), Shimoje (Ghosts&Environment)
Jade Laken (PC), Shimoje (Ghosts&Environment)
Then back to Shimoje (PC)

Please keep in mind that this RP actually introduces more than just one ghost. As such your character would naturally feel strange, light headed, scared, and might pass out the same way Shimoje did.

To solve this situation the players must find Shimoje, solve the mysteries to the ghosts, and get out safely.
A PC could get incredibly injured or killed due the the malicious intent of one of the ghosts I however will collaborate with each person to ensure that nothing happens to their character that they do not wish.

The posting order is listed above. I recommend that this posting occur rather quick cause it can be a fairly long RP, especially with me setting a scene after every post. I will let players know if setting a scene is not needed, and allow each player to post accordingly. I ask that each player be able to post within 2 days of a current (new post) If not, the scene might be set, and we will discuss permissions here to allow me to either put your characters unconscious.

Willing to be possessed? Depends on the spirit... It could lead to interesting threads into the future. That answer is still neutral though.

This quest line has a specific plot line that I will unfold as the story goes, and I am very very excited to be sharing it with players. It was my original intention to make this story a solo, but I just can't help myself. If anyone has any problems with me experimenting with RP in this style please feel free to critique, but for my understanding this style will not break any rules within Mizahar.

Player made, Garland. This was solely made for a cool plot line and is being developed by me. I have other quest related threads as well that you can still join in on. The other one is the Adventure of a Scientist quest line.

I call them quests because they are far longer and more plot involved than most RPs
