[Riverfall] The Seasonal Calender for Summer 515!

. . Welcome to the Riverfall's Calendar! Below is a list of events in Riverfall that happen during Summer. Feel free to incorporate them into your threading and roleplay or request that your PC be part of the event as it unfolds. A Fantastical Mischievous Summer Strange things are afoot in Cyphrus this season. Among the cities, there are numerous events going on that seem strange and almost supernatural. Ghostly apparitions, both on land and within the sea, arise to visit Cyphrus. And of course there are the doors. Just wait for the doors. They appear and disappear randomly leading to strange places. What in the world is going on? There will even be preternatural events that pcs can both witness and rp within. The calendar is forthcoming in the next day or two. You can even come up with your own Fantastical Event this summer. Just run it by me please! One change this season is that we won’t have a list of Seasonal Challenges. Instead, you must participate in twelve fantastical occurrences – either from the calendar or from your own mind – to win the seasonal challenge award. I’d love to see a huge diversity in these events. The sky is the limit. Towards the middle to the end of the season (July), we’ll start figuring out whats going on and why. Overview: Summer 515 AV 1st – A pervasive mist that seems to flicker with strange faces and lights invades the city the first day of summer. 2nd – A flower merchant begins wandering the streets of Riverfall hawking flowers. Not only is the merchant selling flowers but she is in fact made of flowers. PM Goss to pick up this storythread. 5th - Multiple doors open up in Riverfall leading to mysterious and magical places. They happen randomly throughout the season. 7th – An ancient and towering tree, carved with messages that date back hundreds of years (carved with things like “RN <3's BB", "Kova was here.") mysteriously appears in Lapis Park. 8th – A mass incursion of glowing limpets invade the beaches of RF. They don’t seem contained to the beach either. But invade homes, are found on the streets, and even along the edges of the river. 10th – A Solar Eclipse Occurs. 14th – In a large clearing in the forest a wheat field, is apparently an abandoned cart and axes. If the axes are touched they will spring to work chopping down trees and gathering wood. 19th - A pair of gilded antlers mysteriously appears in the center of the Kabrin Road outside of the gates of Riverfall. PM Goss for more info. 21st – A circle of lit candles stands upon the forest floor. PM Goss if you pick up this storythread. 23rd - The door opens in the floor of the main commons area of Alements leading downward. 28th - Off to the side of the Kabrin Road, a well manifests. It is complete with a little cupola painted red. The waters themselves look red. PM Goss if you drink from it. 30th – Seafaire! (See The Codex for holiday details) 33rd – Off to one side of the road the travelers can hear accordion music. If they investigate they find a small glade and a tea party. The clearings floor is covered with exquisite rugs on top of which is a fine wooden table and fine wooden chairs. The table top is covered with pastries, tea cups and a tea pot. The accordion music is provided by a large (size of an upright piano) wind-up music box. The pastries are fresh the tea is hot yet there is no one around. 35th - An Akalak poulter in the Warrens discovers all his chickens have turned into three-headed chickens. People come to gawk and other animals throughout the area are found with three heads. 37th - A trap door in the street outside the Night Tower leads to a short tunnel beneath the wall that opens into the orchards. The fruit glows that night. 40th - Someone has scrawled "one, two, three… the key is not the key" on some of the resident doors of The Windswept Apartments. The doors that have been marked don’t respond to the keys their owners hold. If people are inside, they cannot open them to get to the outside. 43rd - Ghosts are seen jumping from the old Christina’s Remorse, in sight of the new bridge. 45th – Wreckage from a wagon crash is found on the beach. It looks like it came off the cliff. Humanoid skeletons made of unusual crystal are scattered fully clothed among the wreckage. Two crystalline horse skeletons still hitched to the wagon are also found. 50nd – The Festival of Lights (See The Codex for holiday details) 51st - Ghostly giants – some sort of never before seen whales – are seen in the Plunge Pool Bay. They are transparent and people suspect they are apparitions. But only close investigation will unearth their secrets. 54th - A damaged portrait of a velispar is found lying on the side of the road outside the main gates of Riverfall. 57th - A monster moves onto the ferry outside the gates… and prevents people from passing. It claims to want a toll for someone to be able to cross the water. The ferrymaster is nowhere to be seen. 59th - A door appears in the stone wall of Rookery Park. 60th – A pair of old women shouting at each other in the street. If a PC gets involved, interrupts, or gets their attention both women collapse into a mass of butterflies who then scatter. 62nd - The statues in Semele park suddenly animate and began to host a party. 65th - A door appears that is actually a half door on the bar itself of The Blue Bull. The door is opened by twisting an iron ring. This is part of the door situation going on in RF this season. 71st - A section of wall makes a loud grinding noise as it pivots open just inside the Gideon arena during an event. It is large enough to drive several teams of wagons through side by side. 77th - A giant luminous spider lurks at the center of a web of darkness it as built over the Tuvya Sasaran. 80th - Feastday! (See The Codex for holiday details) 85th – The Day Of The Dance (See The Codex for holiday details) 84th – An abandoned tavern appears where the road to the gem mines splits off from the Kabrin. Ghosts serve meals and allow guests to remain overnight. 87th - A small grove of pine trees with softly glowing pine cones is discovered just outside the city. 90th – A bookcase and section of wall pivots smoothly revealing a secret door in The Valkalah Library IF YOU WANT TO CLAIM AN EVENT OR PARTICIPATE, PLEASE POST YOUR LINK BELOW WHEN YOU DO. I MAY BE POPPING RANDOMLY INTO AND OUT OF THREADS .

You may claim an event, but you must WRITE about it. Placeholders are not allowed. It is not fair to the rest of the player base if you cannot get around to doing the thread that others may want to participate in.

Remember, you must have a thread link posted below if I have you on this list for a claimed event. You have 24 hrs to post a thread and link it here after I send you the info you request. Otherwise, I will pop into one of your threads and kill or maim your PC in retaliation for asking for info and then not following through.
