Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

6th Day of Spring, 511 AV
Ixal was in terrible shape as he wandered through the grasslands toward the great city of Riverfall, a rather large, peculiar red wolfish dog in his arms. He was grateful that the city housed The Sanctuary. The people there were notorious for healing, as well as their horsemanship. There he might find a replacement - he cringed at the thought - for Fei. He doubted whoever had ravaged his camp would have brought her to the nearest city. More likely they ran off like cowards.

He sighed with relief when the city gates were in sight, pausing quickly to set the dog down. She whimpered; her right shoulder was badly wounded, a gash running down to her back. It bled through the tunic he'd tied around her to help stop the blood loss. "Fear not, Aurora," he murmured gently to her, sitting down and rubbing her ears gently. "We will find you a healer soon. I couldn't bear to lose you, too."

Once his arms were rested, he again gently lifted the dog up and proceeded to the gate. It was quite farther away than he'd anticipated; once he got there, he surveyed the huge, towering walls in awe. It almost made him forget about his plight.

Continuing on to the guards, he nodded to them, exhausted. "Thank you, sir. Might you point me in the direction of The Sanctuary?" The guard nodded and pointed through the gates and down the street. Ixal nodded his thanks again and continued on through the gates.

They had made it. Riki looked down at Sadie with a smile and picked her up in his arms. She had been limping due to her run in with a few beasts in the Sea of Grass. Riki felt terrible about the mishap. Luckily the pair got out safely. It did not mean that Sadie got out unscathed. Riki hated that he could not help her more. He healed her as best as he could and bandaged up her leg that got hurt. He had to heal the beasts that attacked her too though. He wanted to protect her but he had a promise to keep. If it was not for that promise he would not have Sadie. Her mother Flower was saved because of that promise.

"We are here baby, don't worry." Riki smiled down at Sadie and kissed her forehead. She licked his face in return and wagged her tail. He was happy to see she was doing so well but he could not help but worry about her leg. He knew it would get better after a few days of healing. Besides, he was heading to the Sanctuary. There were lots of healers there and room for Sadie to rest. "I know this is a little different Sadie but you will like it, i promise."
If Riki is speaking in this color he is speaking in Pavi.
If Riki is speaking in this color he is speaking in Common.

3rd of Spring, 511 AV.

Kal looked around as she approched the city nervously. She bit her lip and walked forward confidently, green eyes shining in the light of spring. Her white hair was loose down her back and she was smiling as she drew near of the guards. "Hello, I'm Kal and I would like to enter Riverfall." She said; her voice was a bit rough from not speaking, but it was sweet and clear all together. The guards looked her up and down, examing her outfit. Kal just smiled and waved them a thank you as they let her by. This was it, Riverfall.

4th of Spring, 511 AV

A tree grew out of the cliff just beside Riverfall's City Gate, a teenager with wildflowers clutched in his shaking hands, lied on one of its mighty branches.

Caladien examined the people coming in and out of Riverfall up on his home. He thought of joining the newcomers in town, and while he is deep in thought, a wind blew up, clearing up his thoughts.

"They would only made fun of me, my place is here." and with that thought fixed in his mind, he kept his sight fixed on the Gates of Riverfall.

The Akvatari was approaching from the Sea of Grass, flying a few feet above ground to make sure that no glassbeak or other vicious creature could attack her from behind. Her journey had been relatively safe and relatively uneventful. She had seen Endrykas from the distance, or thought that she had seen it, for it could also have been a camp of some other travelers, probably merchants.

Anyway, she spotted the walls of Riverall from a great distance. Upon coming closer, they grew higher and higher to her pale green eyes. How could someone build walls that were so incredibly high? She assumed that the Akalak were either hostile towards strangers or went to great lengths to protect those within the city. However, she didn’t agree with the idea of fighting violence with violence. No, that couldn’t be the right way. Once started, it was a vicious circle that was extremely hard to escape from. On the other hand, she was an Akvatari and could fly away as soon as she sensed danger. She sighed as she was nearing the gates. Apparently there was no solution to that problem.

Being greeted with a friendly welcome, she nodded and her lips twitched a bit. “Thank you ... Indeed, I intend to enjoy it.” After that, she passed the gates and entered Riverfall, a city that was rumored to be the most beautiful city in all of Mizahar.

Kira stared at the gates of Riverfall. She had heard about this place from her mother, but it was much more incredible than she had ever imagined. She drew a deep breath into her lungs, and urged Shamrock onwards. Only a little longer, she thought to herself. Then you'll be safe. He won't dare attack you in a city, and you might even find a job! Just don't panic. Kira stared into the sun as she trailed towards the city.

[Riverfall City Gates] All PCs Post Here From The Grasslands

Timestamp: 55 Spring 511

The grasslands outside of Riverfall still sparkled with the remainder of the last rains to sweep through the area, and the scent of wet earth and moisture left the air thick and heavy. The early afternoon sun threw lances of light through the damp air that turned the myriad drops of water into a scattering of diamonds that waved lightly as the wind blew through tall grass.

One of these spears of sunlight highlighted a low, flat stone, atop which lay a fat gray lizard, as long as a man's hand. With its eyes closed blissfully, the lizard sunned itself on the rock, enjoying the warm spring day.

Around the rock, the tall grasses bent and swayed in the gentle wind, concealing the approach of the predator. Crouched low in the tall grass, it slunk along on its belly, shoulder blades nearly touching and tail sticking out behind it, slightly raised. Inches from the edge of the grass, it stopped, shifting on its haunches to settle itself in place. The prey was still unaware of the presence of the predator hunting it.

With shocking suddenness, Macka pounched from the grasses and across a foot of space to land squarely on the lizard. Jaws clamped down on the back of its neck, he gave it a single, vicious shake and, with a wet snap, the lizard went limp. The whole event was done in less than a single breath.

Sitting down on his haunches, Macka looked up from what would shortly become his dinner to the walls of Riverfall, looming large in the distance. He would have to head back soon. It smelled like rain, and his fur was wet enough from his hunt. Bending his neck down and grasping the body of the lizard in his jaws, he set off toward home at an easy trot.

84th Day of Spring, 511 AV.
It was midday, sun high in the sky, when the bare, light brown foot of a Chaktawe female landed on the hard stone of the bridge. She raised her black eyes to the impressive towering walls of the city, her hand rising in the same movement to counter the blaze of the sun.

Simply by looking at her, you could tell she was somewhat uncomfortable, and definitely Chaktawe, eyes always moving, shoulders somewhat stiff. Her stance was wider than one would see on most humanoids, and her long legs flirted with the slit in her knee length wrap. A portion of long hair on the front side of her head blew slowly in the wind, creating little clinking noises as the bone and beads danced.

She stepped slowly to the side, scanning the crowd that made their way into the substantial gate, “Perhaps she is already inside” she muttered in her native tongue, waiting for a moment before slipping back into the line of those that shuffled up to the Akalak at the gates.

Postby Trios on June 26th, 2011, 7:18 pm

Year 511 AV, Summer 29

The sun had started it’s decent into the horizon, the large caravan from Endrykas slowly galloped over the stone bridge to Riverfall. An Isur named lay fast asleep atop a few furs, the sound of the hooves on stone almost lulling him to sleep. The long land trip was warring thin as the man preferred boat travel, the main distaste was most likely the use of horses. Trios was still baffled why the Drykas held these things in such high esteem. They stunk to high heaven, sometimes ill tempered and were ugly as sin.

As Trios stirred from his slumber he cast groggy eyes to the cliff city of Riverfall. It was a refreshing sight to behold a city after spending three weeks in a wagon. Hoeing that he could find Conrad once the Caravan came to a halt Trios cast a dark glace to the Suvan sea adjacent to the city.

It had been far too long since he saw those waters….

Summer 29th

Conrad had been walking besides the wagon he had been sleeping with trios for the last few hours already, having both been bored out if his mind when the grumpy isur was asleep he just thought walking along with the rest of the group and trying to talk with a few others to pass the time, surprisingly they weren't really willing to talk with a rather weird non-drykas and just tried to either ignore him or politely let him know to shove off.

It was no surprise, that when the city came into view he let out a relieved smile, now he just had to get that grumpy isur awake and their first quest for glory and riches could begin.
