Hello folks!
I'm here to let you know that I will be stepping down soon as DS of Syliras. To the tune of as soon as my knighting quest is done and perhaps after a few other things are accomplished.
So what will that mean for Syliras? Well, Syliras will play on. Reflection has been designated as my heir apparent and will take over all the duties involved. So no need to worry about the fair city closing down. Plume will likely be retired due to inactivity unfortunately, she has been having a hard time IRL so I can't blame her. But, if she manages to stick around, she will be in charge with Reflection under her. Honestly, she could have been a DS a long time ago if she wanted. She is just that good. Whoever steps up, I will be setting up all the admin stuff for an easy transition. Especially in the event that they have to inherit my threads and development projects.
Why am I stepping down? At this writing I am currently working full time and going to school full time. I am having a hard time fitting in any Miz related stuff in what little free time I have. And when I do, it is a bit overwhelming to have the workload that I have when all I'd like to do is write.
So when exactly am I stepping down? Well, this depends. It could be next week, or it could be in a few months. It depends entirely on how quickly Reflection takes to my instruction and how quickly I go through the tasks I need to do before I leave.
What am I going to do after I step down? Well, there are a number of things. Actually playing on my PC, would be nice. I haven't done anything with it in over 3 seasons. I might take on a secret miz project later on. And who knows, perhaps I will become an ST again in the future.
What does that mean on the interim? Well, business as usual. There won't be a seasonal calendar since that is optional. Reflection is going to take on modded threads and I am going to ease her into ST paperwork and development. If you have questions, please look to the lore and the information threads in Syliras before PMing me. If you have concerns about issues regarding whether or not you can do a thing, go ahead and PM me or Reflection. Wages will be dealt with as soon as possible as well as other requests. Grades... well, they have traditionally been handled by volunteer graders, but shield points still need to be updated. We may need a new system for that and I will brainstorm with reflection on it.
