IC News travels slowly in Mizahar. Fortunately there is a constant stream of news from around campfires, from caravan to caravan and from merchants to merchants. Within this forum lies the best of the best of this talk. Also, within this forum, OOC news from the staff and players can be found. This forum requires all posts to be 'approved' by a Founder before they are displayed. So if you post within, be patient. Your post did display - it simply will not show to everyone until approved as actual 'news'. Please keep all Introductions, Status Updates, and various other discussions in their appropriate forums and leave this area for game news!
As most of you know the tradition for featured threads is that they are picked by the previous month's winner. Since last month's thread did not provide an active PC to give us another thread I was gifted a thread suggestion from Matthew who is to thank for bringing this wonderful thread to light.
Now I always love a good romance thread, but this one is especially enjoyable since romance isn't the inherit focus of the story, but the planning for a dastardly and dangerous goal within the wonderful setting of Sunberth's very own House of Happy Endings. Action, magic, debauchery, humor, this thread has it all, and both Amael and Noven do a wonderful job illustrating the setting and NPC's that participate in the thread. I hope you all take a look at this thread when you get the chance and join me in congratulating this month's winners for a job very well done.
I am glad that this got picked. This was very well deserved. If any of you have any doubts about reading this thread, then just check out a little sample of it and see if you can keep yourself away.

"WAASS TAKIN' SO LONG?!" the merc bellowed, slamming a fist against the wall. Isme jumped, Torgen halted mid step, and even the folks next door yelped in surprise. Nov feigned a drunken slur, the slummiest accent he could manage, and sounds of mad stumbling and cursing about the room. "I AIN'T GOT ALL NIGHT WOMAN!!"
"A troublesome customer, I take i--"
"ME COCK 'S READY," Nov screamed and pounded the wall a few more times, inciting more fits of giggles from their neighbors and effectively silencing Torgen's sly attempt at appearing chivalrous. "COME 'N GET IT LADIESS!"
The Daggerhand cleared his throat. "Say the word, my beauties, and I'll take care of this ugly drunk of an oaf. No questions asked."
Fuck you, Torgen. If he could have bashed the little shyke head's face in right then and there, he would have. Instead, Nov threw down his coat, kicked off his boots, and stripped off his pants. Standing in naught but his shirt and unders, he sent his trousers flying out the door, straight into the faces of the two women. "GET. IN. HERE. NOW!!"
This isn't anything others haven't already said, but congratulations, both of you! I was literally laughing out loud when I read the thread, and I'm so glad that it was brought to my attention. A very well-deserved award!
This PC has the Blight gnosis. As such, you as a player need to be aware of what that consists of. Wrenmae has an invisible aura that amplifies sickness and disease. Wounds may become infected, small sneezes may become coughing, and a slight fever may become more serious. A nuit's body will also break down faster in the presence of the Blight. These effects may not be immediate, but within the few days following your encounter, the symptoms will manifest. Some sooner than others. I cannot control your character, so creativity will be left up to you. Best wishes and stay healthy!
