Additional Info:A warrior at the sails of the Tipsy Wench, his skills in sailing are reveled amongst The Flotilla. However, he refuses to travel with the Flotilla due to his own stubbornness and wanting to mark his way through the oceans with his own crew. He deals in the trade of alcoholic beverages and wine and beer, and he is known for delivering some of the best imports.

Typically, he would spend his time traveling from city to city across Mizahar and has been known to employ stragglers from time to time. Knowing that life at the sea comes with dangers he looks for a wide array of individuals to man his sails.

He travels from city to city exporting his wine and beer and looking for new goods to take back to Zeltiva based on a trade agreement he sanctioned a long time ago. He left behind his life in Zeltiva, but occasional visits are not uncommon.

The Tipsy Wench

Cromster (90 ton cargo) (Mt: 3L) A smaller version of the Galleon, the Cromster is known for its speed; it is as fast as a Sloop, although not nearly as maneuverable, but it carries more firepower. These ships are normally found in service of wealthier merchants. Supports 3 light mounts. Crew: 50, Passengers: 10)
Equipped with 2 ballistae, light mount and 1 bombard, light.

The Tipsy Wench features cargo enough to carry 90 tons, a captain’s suite, a helm, and individual rooms for 10 passengers that are 7x7. These rooms cost the normal rent costs in Syliras rated at 1gm per day or 365gm per season. The rest of the crew sleeps in a bay at the bottom of the deck taking shifts manning the ship. It is mounted with two ballistae and one bombard which gives enough defense to fend off pirates. The ship is often seen transferring goods from city to city and takes occasional stops in every city to allow its passengers and crew to spend some time in the city.

The ship is made of fine Zeltivian design and wood. She is a strong and sturdy ship with an attitude of her own.

Main Deck: The main deck features access to a caged cargo drop to the bottom of the deck which manned by a simple pulley system. The ship has a proper helm on top of the rear of the ship and directly atop the Captain’s Quarters. The quarters are largely inaccessible unless invited by Yngvarr Æðelwine. On each side of the ship is access panels and stairs leading to the middle deck.

Middle Deck: The middle deck features the mess hall (with a simple stone encased furnace that vents out of this ship from a skyport located at the bow), a kitchen, and various doors that lead to the rooms of the passengers. These rooms can be purchased as a residence for 365GM per season or 1GM per day and feature a simple cot, a desk and chair, and a porthole. Food is provided for purchased seaway travel and crewmembers.

Lower Deck: This deck has the cots for the main crew and cargo holds. Often than not you will see various people sprawled out from a long day's of work and corners that are stacked with crew members clothes and gear.

Notes on staying aboard the ship and traveling:
Secret :
People interested in being a member of the crew will be given a leather armband with the mark of a tankard on it. Members of the crew have a choice of staying in the passengers room while paying rent (1 SM/Day) or staying in the crew's bay which does not cost money. All members of the crew and passenger enjoy free food and drink. Those wishing to just take the ship for transport pay the general transportation fee to wherever they go (1gm/day) and are given a passenger's room to stay in as well as the free food and drink. All crewmember's also have access to clothes that the crew will often work in. A leather tunic and pants which the crew will commonly wear, but are not mandated to wear. While on the main deck all crewmember's must wear work gloves which are provided.

Jobs aboard the ship are at discretion of the ST, but the most common are: Cook, Sailor, fisherman, courier (or cabinboy), sewer (for sails), and anything that could be related.



The trade routes travel between Zeltiva to Abura to Ahnatep to Yahebah to Riverfall to Alvadas and finally to syliras. The captain of the ship Yngvarr Æðelwine resides in Syliras and conducts exports from Zeltivian beer and various other alcohols across Mizahar . He would often take a break when reaching Syliras and start his trade route back up in the summer.

Events of 516 A.V.

Arrival to Syliras 20th of spring
Departure from Syliras 91st of spring

Syliras to Alavadas (17 days) – During the venture between Syliras to Alvadas (arrival on the 17th) the crew experiences a few days of harsh weather and spots a sea beast. Dare they try and encounter it? They stay in Alvadas for 10 days to collect various imports and enjoy the festivities! Departure on the 27th of Summer)

Alvadas to Riverfall (35 days) – on the long journey to Riverfall (arrival on 52nd of Summer) the ship encounters some pirates which try and board the ship! Departure on the 58th of Summer

Riverfall to Yahebah (18 days) – The captain of the ship gets drunk and relies on the crew to get them to where they need to be! Arrival on the 76th of Summer departure on the 78th of Summer

Yahebah to Ahnatep (40 days) – The ship veers off course due to high winds and a storm and have to stop and try to secure the ship on Rockward Island to wait out the storm! Stays on the rockward island for 2 days and arrives to Ahanatep on the 25th of Fall. Departure on the 26th of Fall.

Ahnatep to Abura (8 days) – Smooth sailing, but some drama arises the crew is getting sea crazy. Arrival to Abura on the 34th of Fall. Departurep is on the 37th of fall!

Abura to Zeltiva (50 days) – some people are starting to experience sea madness (sea sickness) and a murder occurs on the ship. Arrival on the 87th of fall. They spend 20 days in Zeltiva to make necessary repairs and to restock on the years vintage of beers and prepare for the journey back to Syliras!

Traveling fees include the cost of the room and the cost as listed in the price list of traveling on the ship. The added advantage is that food on the ship is typically free if you don't mind working a little bit to help out. However, if you don't want to sleep with a bunch of crazy crew members in a crowded bay - you best rent a room.

Those that learn to accept her individuality and indulge in polite conversation with her, might earn her respect. She is known for her exuberant sex life aboard the ship for those that only she finds worthy.

Personality: Sera Lissa a stern Patron. She doesn't care if your late to practice, she doesn't care if you disobey her orders. Why? Simply be wise she'll make you Regret it. Show up late? Makes you stay and practice for an extra 4 bells, and no breaks for that whole day unless you pass out. Disobey her orders? She'll punish you herself. She hates slacking of any kind, but she does value intellectual strength over physical strength.

History: Sera Liss as she's often called, was born and raised in Syliras. Born not of your ordinary knighthood family, but instead to a family of weavers. Baskets were all she had known. Though it wasn't what she wanted. She adored the knights of Syliras, so she studied up on them, and became a page at the age of seven. She swiftly moved through there ranks when she turned 13, earning herself a spot as knight of Brown company.

Background:

Miranda grew up within the small region of the Mythryn Outpost. She had a father who loved her dearly, and a mother passed before she reached the age of twenty. A few times a year, she and her father would make their ways up to the Fortress City of Peace. Making trades and bargaining for profit. Recently, her father had just been murdered, and now she lives alone. She works her ways as a healer and worships Ra'Keli.

Concept:

Miranda is a strong and fairly independent lady. She will do whatever it takes to gain the best of loyalty she can get from the friends she makes and the people she meets. She isn't very strong on the physical side. Though, she has a strong mentality and she has just as much courage as a casual Knight/squire would have themselves.

Be careful when you're around her, because she has a hard time trusting others. She would most likely be shy and non talkative when she is around new people. Unless she needs to talk, and when things don't go her way, even if it means life versus death.

Additional Info: Better known as the bear mage by most because of the his large size and bear skin cape he wears over his armor, Thazz is definitely one of the more laid back knights in the order. His go-with-the-flow attitude and shaggy appearance are often thought of as rather unbecoming of a knight, but there's no denying that underneath that exterior Thazz has an honorable soul befitting of his position.

Unlike most knights Thazz does not live in the city; he couldn't live with the cramped atmosphere and so arranged with his superiors to be allowed to set up and live in a campsite in the forests to the north of Syliras. Due to his huge, muscular build few people take him for a mage and believe him to be a hunter of some kind. As it happens Thazz was a hunter before he became a Syliran Knight and prefers to hunt for his own food from time to time when he has the chance, but anyone who doubts his skill as a mage based on his appearance soon learns otherwise once they see the skill with which he combines his earth-based reimancy with his overpowering brute strength.

Montgomery Cosmetics

The quaintly sized shop is nestled in a cosy little side street not too far away from the Soothing Waters, one might nearly miss it or mistake it for a residential house if not for the constant fragrances that waft out of it or the brightly coloured sign out the front marking it as such. It consists of one story with two rooms: a front showroom/work space (approximately measuring in at 30 x 20), and a stock room (approximately 10 x 15) and further work spaces that are separated by a doorway. There are two entrances: the front one, and the back door. The storefront is filled with windows as to let in a lot of natural light. Apart from in bad weather, or when it is closed, these windows are always open. If closely inspected, it can be seen that in some areas of the roof tiling and facade looks newer than in other parts. This was a result of the Djed Storm of 512 AV which left a lot of structural damage to the original building.

The showroom is marked by four long tables in two rows, three of which are filled with assorted sample sized versions of all the products for sale. The table closest to the backroom has a sturdy looking lockbox that is used to store the earnings from the day. The fourth table is at the closest end to the shop's windows, as to allow for the best lighting. This is because this is where cosmetic application for clients occurs; as well as allowing onlookers to potentially be enchanted into entering the shop. As such, it is equipped with seats, brushes and sponges for application, and hand mirrors. Rare is it to see the mistress of the store, Sabine, in this room. The back room is her sanctuary where she spends much of her time experimenting with cosmetics and skin care compounds: as her true love is the creation of her products. This room possessed three tables, and is lined with shelves. One table is dedicated to philtering equipment, one for vials, jars and containers that are yet to be filled, and another for ingredients that are soon to be mixed: or ready to sell goods. Within the shelves are further ingredients and other ready to sell goods.

It is not always guaranteed that what is desired will be in stock, but with notification: Sabine happily mixes it together with ferver. The store really is a labour of love for Sabine Montgomery, and what she considers her magnum opus: as she fought hard during her youth to build a name for herself as a reputable and discrete business woman who would cater to all. Less known about the shop itself is its more charitable side: offering unsold stock that is set to expire soon to those that have fallen on harder times.

Additional Info:
Descending from a long line of cosmeticians and perfumers, Sabine had a natural talent for the trade of cosmetology. She also had a shrewd business mind, and little tolerance for meaningless platitudes that were often involved in the cosmetology industry of Syliras. Rather than continue on this path, she cultivated her own line of products for a reasonable price. Her goal being to allow even those of modest income to indulge in nourishing lotions and serums, making Syliras a city of radiant beauties. She has one daughter, but does not talk about her often. Instead she seems to be grooming her nephew to take up her mantle when she can no longer get her hands to work.

Personality: She is a stern, but maternal figure; shrewd in her dealings, but fair enough to those around her to stop her from being openly despised. On more than one occasion Sabine has been quoted that on her death she will return, and refuse to be banished until everyone in Syliras has the Sabine Montgomery 'glow' to their skin. She often has an eccentric eye for colour, style, and business choices: cultivating her appearance in such a way that it appears to be effortless and even slightly controversial.

Additional Info:
Linsharla was born in a lower class family, and never really truly fit in amongst the culture of the Eypharian in Ahnatep. She always had a passion for cosmetology and colour that seemed to border on obsession: she forever would be experimenting with colours and textures on her face or on any available surface really. Feeling confined by the rigid class structure, she effectively exiled herself at a young age and set off for new horizons. After drifting for a few years trying to create a living with her love of art and cosmetics: she arrived in Syliras in Spring of 510 AV. The six armed Eypharian was quickly given work with Sabine and has been a consistent member of the team since.

Personality: She is, despite herself thinking wholly different, not totally dissimilar from the average Eypharian. She is quite cool in her interactions with almost everyone, but can be quite domineering in conversation. Linsharla is not without some warmth, and after the years she has spent in Syliras her demeanor has softened noticeably. When engaged in conversation about colours, art, or cosmetics however: one can see a highly passionate and knowledgeable individual that desires to leave a lasting beauty mark on the world.

Additional Info:
Born to Sabine's late husband's younger brother: Carlyle showed promise in following in his Aunt's footsteps from a young age. Whether this was because of an inbuilt talent, or one that was fostered by Sabine because of her own daughter's lack of interest in that area is debatable. However, he has always had a strong connection with his Aunt and her line of work. Despite his young age, he seems to have a competent understanding of what it takes to run a business and a desire to keep the legacy going on.

Personality: His age is reflected in his mannerisms and personality: he is convivial, a little coltish, and perhaps even flaky. However he is primarily an outgoing and decent sort. Because of his closeness to his Aunt, he can never really escape a comparison to the eccentricity that Sabine is known for. Indeed, like her, he does play up flamboyant tendencies for effect because of how good it can be for business. Yet, his youth is what separates him from being a duplicate of his aunt. Where she retires: he shines. Often he is the first to greet whomever walks in through the door, and can talk incessantly about any range of topics for bells. Above all he is an optimistic and happy go lucky young man.
