All across Mizahar, the Watchtowers change from their various shades of scarlet to the crystalline delights of the colour blue. Winter usually brings about a shift in weather for most places, as the earth and sky grow steadily colder, and people try that little bit harder to survive against all the odds. Winter for Alvadas usually changes little. The temperature stays at an almost constant level and life continues as normal as can be expected. The inconsistencies of Alvadas are it's illusions, and this season the city doesn't fail to disappoint. In fact, one could say that this year, Ionu has excelled themselves.
Starting on the 1st of Winter, 516 and running all the way to the end of the season, Alvadas is not only Alvadas but also the entirety of Mizahar as well. On the very night that the Watchtowers change, the entirety of Alvadas takes on the appearance (and relative climates) of the great land and ocean masses of Mizahar. The northern parts of the city become deeply entrenched in thick snow and ice, the southern parts windswept with sand. The west becomes treacherously mountainous, and further down gives way into thick, humid rainforest. Lapping at the center of the city lies a large lake of waist-deep water crested with waves and framed with beaches.
There is much to see and much to explore. Alvads embrace the chance to experience Ionu's Mizahar with open arms. Natives of Mizahar's various cities and regions who have moved to Alvadas become excited to be given a chance to see their homeland through Ionu's gaze, but Alvads themselves are given the chance to explore Mizahar without even having to leave the city.
Yet, there is a dark undertone to this apparently relaxed season. Arriving on the 2nd, three unique individuals arrive in the city, accompanied by nine followers and attendants. Their appearance is unexpected, but the notices they post throughout the city are the most surprising of all. The Gods want Morwen punished, and punished severely. Please Read.
As Alvadas usually remains temperate throughout the year, this would not seem to affect the city much. However, Ionu soon makes a stance, with shifting illusions in Alvanthal and a giant, killing glacier targeting sympathisers of the Vantha. Duties of a God are not to be messed with. Slacking in ones duties is a punishable crime. The Speakers of the city however, remain quiet on the matter. [More to come!] During this time, the citizens instead follow Ionu directly, and slowly take matters into their own hands. Killing Vantha becomes a sort of challenge, even whilst opinions remain divided. Some outright ignore the Gods wishes and practice peace. Please note there WILL be repercussions if you choose this path, especially if you preach it openly. Others embrace the edict and curse Morwen in their speech and actions.
Please choose whether you are pro- or anti-Morwen. If you want to kill a Vantha, please write-up an NPC first so that the skills are alright, I wouldn't want people to suddenly be able to kill if they are only 5 XP unarmed combat. If it wasn't already clear, Ionu is anti-Morwen, and will aid the destruction in whatever way possible. The issue of the Speakers will be addressed in thread, but I will keep you updated. Just note that they will be largely silent, expect for a sprinkling of Speaker's Events which will not be focussed on Vantha or Morwen at all. They will not punish those who kill Vantha.
_____
Unlike actual Mizahar, Alvadas' illusion blends all the cities into one, meaning that there is hardly any empty space or wilderness. Please assume that as you walk between different 'cities', that your surrounds blend from one city to another without large swathes of the wilderness that the real Mizahar has. However, this is not to say that there is no greenery. Many cities will be quite sparse, with their native landscape filling the gaps. Some places have little patches of 'wilderness', but nothing huge, please.
Alvadas-Mizahar is not very similar in terms of shape to the real Miz, and so dimensions are often skewed or simplified.

Taldera :
Cyphrus
Most will have heard tales of the Sea of Grass, or the city of slaves known as Kenash, or indeed the blue city of the Akalak. Here, these three collide into one mesh, three cities opposing and working together in ways that only Alvads could manage.

Kenash :
Eyktol
The grasses that make up 'Cyphrus' give way into the desert sands of Eyktol. It's a wild place, full of mysterious people and creatures, and Ionu takes delight in representing this through shifting illusions giving way to beautiful cities and oases. Tinted throughout with sand, the majority of this region is actually taken up with the city of Ahnatep, although in some places this city takes on aspects of other cultures.

Falyndar :
Kalea
Home of Alvadas and large mountains, this region is something of a special place. The jungles of Falyndar morph into the mountains of Kalea, and although it's difficult to get around, somehow the citizens still manage to. It's a land of mystery, and this is represented in Ionu's Mizahar.

NoteKalinor and Sultros are not featured due to being quite difficult to reach/secretive. There may be elements of their themes scattered through the Kalea region of Alvadas, but please please don't go overboard.

This season sees a change in the calendar. Gone are set dates where set things happen, instead this calendar is designed with freedom of threading in mind.
In terms of moderated threads, I will be running three one-on-one threads, which you can apply for below. There are three stories to discover. One, a murder mystery. Two, a romantic adventure. And three, a good vs evil story. Respectively, these will be in three different regions of Ionu's Mizahar- Sylira, Taldera, Falyndar.
One-on-one:
In the interest of fairness, if there is more than one applicant for a thread I will pick the character at random using the chat /roll function. For this purpose, please include a number starting at 1. and continuing up from there for however many people apply. However, I'm not expecting there to be hordes of people, so don't worry too much! Haha! Ha. Ha...
Abject Inferno
The ten houses that make up Sunberth wake up one morning to find the charred, mangled remains of body parts left on each of their doorsteps. The home-owners are terrified, believing themselves to be the target of a madman. Yet secrets lurk beneath any pleasant face, and a terrible secret is blossoming in Sunberth.
At Lover's Leisure
Amongst Falyndar's reaching boughs lies mystery, suspense, and intrigue. In Alvadas though, Falyndar currently belongs to a group of people who live to embody Alvadas' spirit. These are The Afalines: kick-ass, elderly women who practice wit, cunning and mischief all day and all night long. However, in their ranks lies an Afaline who feels she is missing something, or indeed someone. Her heart lies bound to another's, but it is only now that she comes to realise she needs them back. This is the story of her search to find him.
The Ruination of Peace
Ice and cold don't sit well with Terrence Kapoi, but then nothing does. He makes it his job to hate everything, fairly and equally and without regard for gender or race or religion. Raiar Capac, on the other hand, revels in it. She revels in everything, from love through to torrential rain. Nothing stops her boundless enthusiasm. Yet when the two collide on the ice of Taldera, 'Alvanthal' suffers. Introduce ice to fire, and you'll see interesting results.
