Lol! Patience dear sister! Quickly, I will let everyone who may need to grab a weapon to gut some zith know that Van would have just purchased some stuff. Short swords, hand axes, a couple maces and short spears and a bunch of daggers, oh, and a spare battle ax...a few light cross bows and short bows too with plenty of ammo.. Also... 6 studded armor and four leather armor suits. Several of the studded leather suits are sized for women. Go get 'em! Btw...The Armory otta have an epic box code to meet the high standards of the Sanctuary forum!

I can see it now... as the scene unfolds... Aweston Denusk runs into the armory, desperate for a weapons... and looks around in confusion. Blank undescribed walls lacking weapons racks and weapons, armor and amno, are not in place... and the only thing is a small sign that says "More to come soon." Aweston throws up his hands on defeat. "Nooooooooooo!" Oh the drama! Its a good thing Van is on the job. I'll certainly fancify it when its done.

I just had to say this! So I was reading the new OOC messages I hadn't seen yet, obviously, and suddenly right when I looked at Van's avatar one of those new Chanel cologne commercials with Brad Pitt came on the tv. I was so surprised by the irony, like "Uuuuuuhhhhhhhhh?! What wizardry is this?!" Very trippy. But I can't complain about seeing Pitt on tv... Scrumptious.

OK, the armory is not set up yet, but there is a stash of weapons in storage. Inventory is listed in the previously painfully empty Sanctuary Armory thread.

Look! I have shiny stars! Anyhow... couple of serious questions for the group. First off, is everyone having fun? I want to make sure because if there's something else we could be doing, there's certainly time and room to do it. I'd like to make sure everyone is feeling engaged and valuable and that they are getting their writing itches scratched. No, don't look at me like that you dirty minded healers and armsmaster! Anyhow, another question. People are still wanting to join as healers, groundskeepers, etc. I'm feeling more picky now that we have such a great group, but I'd like to include others if they want too. I just want to make sure we don't predetermine anything or screw up the dynamic. Do you guys think we have enough staff? Can we use more? What about people with perhaps mental illness or odd personality quirks? What do you think about these sorts of joiners? I have to admit I try to shy away from PCs that have obvious physical or mental flaws because I tend to enjoy the 'plain jane' or 'plain joe' pcs better because then I can watch them evolve from something ordinary to something extraordinary. When a PC starts out with a glaring flaw or something like a severe phobia or shyness, its less fun to me because its kinda one of those things that wasn't developed IC but thought up and acted on OOC to make the pc more interesting. I kinda like everyone messed up IC and starting out normal. But that's just my prefece. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this and on our staff situation etc.

First of all, I'm having tons of fun.

And second; i'm totaly up for new staff. New facets to the face makes it all that shinier, eh? But defanitly be picky about it. If you feel that they are going nowhere or are uninvolved give them the boot.

The only thing I worry about is having too much of one thing and it going flat. Example: Elem, Kavala, Seriff and Iris as great healers with other specialties as well. Now imagine another three healers with the same sort of interests. Suddenly the first three are not worth as much. It gets boring. Lets bring in some gardeners and horse trainers. Beekeepers. Or maybe some students? Something dynamic that we dont have.

As for unstable characters, I havent been in the business of RP long enough to have an opinion.

I am having a blast. I like getting to know everyone, and the action we have been thrown into! Jen, you have my thoughts on additional staff. Also.....the Armory has been updated. The arms and armor are stored in the room off of the training area in the Within, in case anyone is looking for something to use to kill say...a Zith! There is a variety of weapons, so if you are interested in trying one out or use one for training, go for it! Let Van know just so he can stay informed.

I am having a plast, Jen you and I should do more flashbacks into our past lives. Those threads are always fun.

Staff, I think we have a right to be picky mostly because Kavala and Serrif are going to be starting back up the Cytali and well we won’t want mentally unstable people around we have to worry about. I guess it would depend on the degree though like everything else. The Sanctuary needs STRENGTH and I believe we are heading the right direction.

But one thing to think about is that your staff costs are already pretty high. No worry though, Serrif is gonna get out of your hair here soon and start his own medicine and remedy thing. He will still tend to the Sanctuary first of course but he will do the other business as well. That way he can get off your payroll and onto his own. Hell he’ll even pay you for the use of your equipment! Which means by Serrif going freelance Kavala makes money!
