I actually intended to have the catamaran "Dreamweaver" tied up to a stone pier she built off the coast of The Sanc Beach... so pretend its there and I'll work that into one of my remaining solos from NaNo so the pier in fact gets to be part of the whole scenario. We need a ship dock on the beach anyhow. Kav is in a really weird place in her head with this pregnancy. She's feeling like sick, half starving, and not doing very well. Last time she had a baby she went crazy and took off too. We had an akontak to follow her and drag her back though. She's worn down, sick, and doesn't want to be around anyone... you know how those tough folks are when they get under the weather. She's probably the worst patient ever and doesn't want people bothering her or hovering. She'll go have it on her own if she can. The wedding is going to be fun but I have no idea what to buy the happy couple. Wedding shopping is not my forte. Since they don't have gift cards I'll probably just buy you guys a toaster. Wait.. .no toasters! Shit...I'm screwed. I looked into the Tavern Idea. Tavern (Elaborate) 2,500 GM 400 sqft Kitchen (Elaborate) 1,800 GM 400 sqft Shop (Elaborate) 2,000 GM 400 sqft Ice House 500 GM 250 sqft Total: 6,550 sqft Minus 25% buying it all at once (-1637.50) Grand Total: 4,912.5 with new buildings, furnishings, stuff we need to open immediately besides booze and food and stock for the shop. I also talked to Gillar. This is totally doable on Kav's funding to pay outright so no one is in debt. However, you guys will have to submit business plans to Gillar for whatever portion of the building/furnishings you want. I cannot profit from this at all except as a lender (Because I already have a business). But rather than take coin, its perfectly acceptable to take payment in terms of you guys helping out around The Sanctuary on your off duty hours instead of giving me cash back etc. In exchange, I hope some folks can use the shop that also works here to make medicines, sell plants, etc. I was sorta going with Caelum's vision of a high class place. But I was thinking we could decorate it like some places are decorated.. with plants, decor, and things that are all for sale so the atmosphere changes subtly every time people come in and if they admire a piece, we can offer it to them for sale. This might help out an artist or potter or two in game somewhere down the road as well. Thoughts?

I absolutely want to do this. Caelum will pay off his portion or all of it with lots of work at the Sanctuary and then at the healing college if there's still debt by the time that's up. I also LOVE the idea that basically everything is for sale and we can open up things to other PC artists and craftspeople. We can even have a PC who might want do cooking/run catering? If anyone's interested. I'm kind of stupid when it comes to business plans and how they break down, but I'm also really flexible on it. I intend to use Caelum's herbalism skills for teas and things, and build up his philtering so he can offer apothecary type stuff too. I also think that, based on Caelum's ranuri and his combination of intelligence related and medicine related skills, it could be... special. Ugh. Writer fail. I guess the best way I can think of a explaining it is that it's sort of like the Therapist Bartender trope. Caelum will know what the customers want and/or need. Does that even make sense?

Totally in, not sure what Van can do yet as far as the tavern (aside from being a charming bartender), but thinking on it. Asslo...When the brewery is in full production, Van and/or Sybel can run it as a Sanctuary business, selling it to taverns in Riverfall, maybe even Kenash and Endrykas when it swings close in the Spring.

The Eye of the Storm is up and open for all you Sanctuary people, though the first to know are Caelum and Vanator. As for Riaris, I just assumed he was gonna show up to make snow angels and bake cookies with the rest of us.

Also, I've been chatting with Jenn about doing a "Danger on the Grass" type moderated scenario sometime before the 50th. Of course, Mike is participating because he doesn't have a choice, but is anyone else interested?

Bel dear, not sure univiting an Akalak to a wedding ceremony really gives the sting you are looking for. Besides, that's one less gift. My purple buddy...just a note as you insult Van's betrothed...Drykas stones are unbreakable, how do you think we can ride all our lives bouncing up and down on a Strider? Oh...and she's right, anything that has danger, Sybel and grass in it... Van magnet.
