Hi Guys.
I'm literally taking a break from posting for a day or two. It's cyber Monday anyhow so I'm shopping again. Muahhhaahah! I have a truly epic haul of nail polishes this season. I bet you didn't know I was a closet junky. Even my hubby was like "oh my" at my current haul. Anyhow I will resume posting mid-week. But until then, if you were active (two threads job related, and a couple not job related but active about the facility) let me know and I'll pay you!
Getting paid is fun! One of these days we'll all be active and I can just auto do this at the season change. I think I can get one of the DS's to pay me too so there's coin for you. Yea!
Also.. we need to talk about getting some of you started on your own businesses to help booster your incomes. The Sanctuary can supply labs, and maybe even some retail space at the clinic unless we rent a small shop in town to sell stuff in - which I was thinking of doing - because we have a lot of stuff to offer the city now that we've been in operation a few years.
I was thinking of a gift shop type thing (not really that title but an outlet shop) when we get the full healers college up and running, where students make things like medicines as part of their classes that we can sell to help augment their own tuition when we figure all that out. I know some of you are gardening and herbalists. You could make things that reflect that hobby ... healing lotions, creams, medicines of all sorts, perhaps beeswax and honey items... stuff to generate more profit for you folks as healers and falconers and whatever else you have going on. I want to encourage a huge diversity so when the college opens, all of you can become teachers of one thing or another.
That means when you guys work on your PRIMARY skills, think about things like TEACHING as a second profession because I think there are going to be some announcements about layered businesses and things we can do for advanced plaeyrs to keep their participation in the game interesting. And if those go through, that's going to be something I will pass down to you guys. Because when I get this monstrous facility done, its going to be a cash cow (in a good way) that can support a lot of people not just one leader.
What do I mean by that?
We have a philtering lab with poison lab components. A philterer is not going to be using it 24/7 right? And in some cases people can share. That means little to no startup costs in equipment or tools etc. Why can't a poison crafter use it to make poisons when someone else isn't using it to philter? And if we get the green house done, can't we grow multiple purpose things there? We have like four or five gardens. We have bees. We have a huge arena and when I get the threads done, that riding course out in the fringe forest.
What do YOU want to use the facility for? As staff, residents, and future professors etc you have the run of the place and the use of everything but you know Kavala's personal quarters. AS soon as the solo is finished, Vanator has a brewery! Imagine the possibilities.
The Kitchens could be used to bake goodies that are then sold or perhaps borrowed to help house a part time catering business. I'm just throwing out ideas here. But we have this huge hurking fortress that's slowly taking shape. Each and every one of us needs to get creative and throw out some ideas. We'll even have a pool in the spring/summer so someone could teach swimming lessons. You don't have to be employed full time on these ideas, but you can make money doing these things and help boost your XP.
So... what are your ideas? And were you active? Do I need to pay you? Let me know! |

Please Note:
- This pc is maxed out in Animal Husbandry, Medicine, Observation, Rhetoric, and Socialization.
- Kavala a Master Teacher. Students she is teaching in thread can earn more than the maxium 5 XP per thread.
- This pc has a Konti Gift of Animal Empathy. She has a superpower from a Riverfall city event that allows animals of all sorts and Kelvics (in kelvic form) to speak clear understandable Common around her.
- Kavala is a Konti but was raised in the Drykas culture so her accent is entirely Pavi though she can speak Common, Pavi, and Tukant well. She's only conversational in Kontinese.
