We are definitely the hottest couple in Mizahar now - and it's all you, baby. You look amazing!

[Aidara's Scrapbook] It's Real For Us

Postby Phoenix on April 7th, 2013, 5:14 pm

D'awwwww. I was expecting more "NO DONT DO IT!" than just unconditional love. I'm rather taken for words to be honest. So I'll just sit here and blush.

On another topic, though anyone can still jump in and say NO DONT DO IT, I have been frustrated lately. I don't have time for most of my PCs, who have all just sat and gathered dust as a result. Some of them I've mostly played out and gotten to know in my head thanks to lots of thinking and an overactive imagination, even if they haven't seen much IC time. That makes it hard for me to let them go, but I know I have too.

Others were created to be with other PCs that have since disappeared and I know it will be unlikely that I will touch them again even if I love the character dearly.

I hate having to pick and choose and I know I have too. I barely touch Addy and she is my greatest love, and I hate that I never get to really delve into her story IC because I just have spread myself too thin. But then I get mad that I think of these other cool PC ideas and I want to do them, but can't because I already have five, or because i know I don't have the time and even if I retire all the others, I'll just start the pattern over again.

#MizaharProblems but still... I don't know what to do. The Characters I would retire would be: Cailet (omg that hurts me so hard to even type), Emalay, and Mae. I would keep Aidara and Kalesse.

Cailet hurts the most because I love her. And I worked so hard on her. And I had so many plans for her, most of which have been stalled or abandoned to the fault of no one, really. But because I've had her for so long, I've come up with so many stories in my head that no the Cailet in my head is no where near the Cailet in Miz. And since I am a sucker for consistency, I find it hard to play Miz Cailet. Not only that, but I've gone multiple seasons in a row without even touching her, and that's daunting to jump back in and explain. /whine.

Bah.

I totally get where you are coming from Cryo!

By the way, I love the hair too, so I'm not going to be a neigh(sp?) sayer on that one, looks gawgeous.

I don't think I could handle more than my three PC's, and as is their face time has been demolished in the last few months. After this week there will definitely be a resurgence, but I totally understand where you're coming from. I can't imagine retiring any of them though, especially Sebastion. After Tarot's awesome Vblog on Pycons I got a wonderful inspiration to keep playing him, but unfortunately, my lil' transvestite is the first one to get shafted if I don't have the time to play out my PC's.

I would look at retiring as a sort of renewal for you as a writer though, and perhaps someday Cailet could be brought back, or maybe you could start her off in an entirely new location, use the ideas that aren't feasible for her on another PC, or use NaNo this year to write her long lost story. So many possibilities!

In response to you, I use your bird.

But I agree with you on that! And it's SHIM! I remember having to tell you not to use S.H.I.M in your CS title....bhahaha.

Anyway, the problem with Cailet is that she's been active this whole time. I feel like if I wanted to go back and write her long lost story, I'd have to get a bunch of Permissions from Goss to do grandfathered threads that span the seasons that I simply haven't had time for her. That's not a good enough excuse to get so many grandfathered threads.

Another alternative is to do it all in the dreamscapes forum, but I wouldn't get any Xp and very little lore. It would all be the sake of the story.

But the long story short, and you mentioned this, is the fact that I think I have just lost inspiration for her because it's been one thing after another after another and it's just stifled my creativity for her. And I put more into my PC's then is ever apparent IC because of all the thinking I do on my own.

Your advice is sound, and I appreciate it! I will be taking it into consideration while I mull this all over.

So...

Ever since I was little, my dad has one of those 10 gallon water-cooler-jug things that he has been filling up with change. I always knew it was there because when my siblings and friends and I would walk down town to the candy store, we'd raid that coin jug for all the quarters and big change that we could find. We would each make away with ~10 in coins.

Now, 15 years later, I feel bad that we took so much. I never really realized it as a child, but my dad REALLY wanted to fill that thing up.

Well, today is the day. It's finally filled up all the way.

And now, fifteen odd years of extreme OCD, and the NEED to dump out and sort all those coins is HERE. I've been begging him for years, as long as I remember, to let me sort and roll all the coins.

How weird am I? However, I have found what I am doing today.

I officially have Lore Write-up ADD. I start one, and end up with 6 partially finished ones.

It's like when you start cleaning, and then have to clean something else in order to continue your original cleaning, and then never finish because you go off on cleaning tangents.

LIKE WIKI TANGENTS ON WIKIPEDIA! you go on there for one thing and then end up reading about how dragonflies mate.
