The Missing Yasi Danger Level: Low to Medium, depending on players involved. It began during the winter, but few actually took note of it. People died all the time during the winter, yasi included, and while some might have mourned their loss, it really was nothing to pay any attention to. There were a few, the friends and family of those who vanished, who noticed and wondered why no bodies had been found, but even this fact was of little note. Any Dek who came across a dead body that was anything but an Endal, or maybe an Avora, would simply dispose of that body in the fiery Tomb of the Fallen. If they appeared to die of anything short of murder, the dek would think nothing of it. Nobody worried. Then came Spring, and the disappearances continued. Yasi who had been seen perfectly healthy and going about their bendi tasks were vanishing, seemingly into thin air, again with no bodies to be found. People began to worry. Dek were questioned, the missing yasi's friends were questioned, but no one could shed any light on the mystery. Finally, when the child of an Endal vanished action was taken. The Endal demanded that her daughter be found, ordered the lower castes to look for her.. and the other missing yasi. Whoever brought her back alive would be rewarded. The search began in earnest.
The Beast Danger Level Medium to High, depending on players involved. As if vanishing children were not enough, something just as bad was ravaging the unwary along the Sanikas Road. Bear attacks were not a common occurrence, and when they did happen, it was often far from anything resembling civilization. Hunters seeking shelter in caves, the wounded lost in the wilderness, an unlucky game scout coming across a bear cub and enraging the nearby mother, these were how bear attacks usually happened. Where they did not usually happen was within sight of the Sanikas Road, mere bells from the city or Thunder Bay. Bears, and most other predators, usually stayed away from large groupings of humans, and the road reeked of humans. But a bear was stalking the travelers along the road, and lives were being lost. Perhaps it was rabid? Perhaps it had cubs nearby? Nobody had seen any evidence of cubs, but that did not mean they were not there. Regardless of the reason, the beast had to be stopped, and hunting parties formed to take it down, all eager for a chance to bag such a large and dangerous beast. Attention!
