More generally - No, I didn't manage 50,000. I did manage to hit my personal goal of 10,000 words, but that's not nearly enough for the prize of course. I try to respond fairly quickly when I'm around but, like my signature says, I'm only really around at weekends, so don't expect responses during the week. I read more than I write, and I do tend to catch up on shared threads before I post ooc, mostly because I'm not much good at talking ooc. I prefer to let my rp speak for me but I can try, I guess.

Syka's a wonderful place. It's stuck with me though, with or without a calendar, I'm just not going to pester someone who's just told me there may be delays because they aren't well. I don't like to add to the load of a person who is already doing a heck of a lot of work.

Hi Sykians, Sykans, or just residents of Syka,

I stumbled upon a couple of fascinating youtube videos about building with mud bricks and thought I'd share. To me at least, there felt to be a very strong Syka vibe when I was watching them. It was fascinating seeing the process from scratch (practically).

Mud bricks would work well in arid areas. However, Syka has a high humidity and very high rainfall. Mud won't last long at all. And as for firing it into clay tiles, Syka has a potter that can do that professionally.

Sorry guys for just... disappearing. I'm trying to write and keep up but school's busy and I haven't got into a routine yet, so my activity is sporadic, at best.

So I really haven't been communicating well. To confirm the other's messages, I was the other PC to reach 50k words, although I think I got burnt out from all that writing. It's not that I don't care... just that my mind's been on other things and that I got mixed up with mentioning it on chat and all and actually confirming it with you.

Also, I love Syka. Calendar or no calendar. Last season was amazing. I had so many great threads, using the prompts and not, and the wordcount really pushed me. This season I'm almost... glad nothing's happening, as it gives me the time to slow down. We can make our own plots. I don't want to you to burnout or push yourselves, especially if you are busy or not motivated.

Just stick around, as a writer and a mod, because I love reading your work, loving seeing the things you do, and everything along with it I really appreciate having you around!

So, I'm sticking around. Because Syka - and equally importantly, the writers - are amazing. But I'll be slow. Like this incredibly late reply tells you. But still. Poke me. Prod me. I'm trying

I really want to get myself to posting more into this OOC thread but I'm always really nervous about risking annoying anyone or offending anyone, and it didn't even cross my mind that not posting into it very often might upset you Goss.
Know that I will do my best to be a more active more of Syka (especially now that I have a regular schedule again.

It's very hard to annoy me honestly. I really appreciate candid heartfelt thoughts. I have a very open say- what -i- think type personality. I really like that in others too. But sometimes people can be dense.

For example most of you think I'm not on the site. Wrong. I am. Too much in fact during the day. I'm just spending all my time multiple times a day deleting spam.

And i do get cranky when tired.

But I'd say 99% of the time o.k. laid back and enjoy banter.

For example, a young woman who rps in Ravok pmd me quite frequently and candidly when I was posting my anger and frustration in RF and Sykas pic boards. She really encouraged me when no one else bothered. And when I posted the Calender Pages she sent me a pm saying something like "Omg Goss...drama much? " I think the empty chairs were over the top in her book. I just laughed out loud url when I read that brief pm and fired her one back saying something like "...worse than a teenage girl"...lol.

Goss, I appreciate what you do around here off and on the site! Without you (and staff) there would be no Mizahar! Your Calendar is awesome, and I love your magical plots that you create for your cities. I can't wait for another world wide event to happen soon!
