Hello Syka!

Amelia and myself have been away from Mizahar for a couple of months and slowly easing back into the swing of things. Syka interests and excites me - a lot - and I'd love to bring Amelia to the island paradise.

My concern is... she's slightly useless in terms of survival. Her only weapon skill is with a snowball and she has no wilderness survival ability whatsoever. So the great likelihood is that she'd die almost immediately after stepping foot on the beach (if not from being eaten alive from the lack of style in this place, *gasp*).

However, she can sew, so can bring that to the settlement in making clothes and whatnot. I also really quite like the idea of her having to suck it up and make do with what she's got, a la Scarlett O'Hara (but with even more fabulous headwear).

So I guess I wanted was to get a feel for whether bringing Amelia to Syka is a doable idea, or just utterly.... undoable

Welcome back to Miz. Be sure you explain how you get to Syka because you can only migrate here the same season a city closes... not migrate long after a city has closed. So you'll need to figure out your passage from Lhavit or wherever you were to Syka and PAY for it.

Also, you don't have any marketable skills and no survival, so if you set foot in the city and act like a pampered princess with no problems at all you are going to fail miserably at making a go at Syka. IF you don't master some wilderness survival immediately upon getting here, there will be issues too.

HI Folks.

Just a quick update on notes. The Calendars for my cities might be late this year. Most of you don't know this but since the big Eclipse here in the US (which I spent in the ER) I've been sick off and on. Mostly its been chest pains and breathing problems to the point where I can't... anyhow I'm fine. It's not my heart. It's just my lungs... to the point I took a vacation for the end of August... canceled grandiose travel plans.. and stayed at home recovering.

I'm a bit better and I don't go back to work until Tues... but I don't have the calendar's done and I don't anticipating having them up for a day or two.

I also want to start taking thread nominations for the rp's that happened this season. I know there were quite a few. I'd also like some feedback on themes before I post my ideas for this season.

You can post that here, but please PM me the nominations you have. That way I can keep them private. DO NOT NOMINATE YOURSELF. I will give prizes to the winners. A list of the types of nominations are found on the Calendar thread.

Hi folks.

This question comes up more and more so I thought I'd provide an example for you for your land claim locations. Everyone who is here full time and living on their own land (not in a bungalow or rancho unless your buying it and that's fine if you want too and in that case you count) should have their own location on where they live.

Why? It gives you and it gives others a way to visualize your encampment. You can submit them to the Submission thread for approval, but you need to have SOME SORT OF DESCRIPTION. I can help you with maps and images if you need help. Just let me know. When they are approved I want YOU to post them yourselves so you can add and subtract to the descriptions as things change.

I will add them to the link map under a section entitled 'PC Residences'... once you have them posted. I give you Nya Winter's Refuge as an example below.
