I want to say Thank You to Kynier for personally keeping Sunberth's Grading Que knocked down and under control. It's players like you - the graders - who really make a difference to the ST's and PC's on the site.

A huge thank you to Madeira for all of the grading she's been doing in Lhavit and lovely comments she makes sure to add. <3

Today was a really really rough day for me. It's going to be rough for a while. But I just wanted to give a huge thanks to Gillar who noticed there was a ton of spammers on Miz today and handled all by himself all the nuking of the russian porn. Thank you sooooo very much. It was nice to finally log on at 630pm and see no spam anywhere.

The Quick Thanks Thread!

Postby Kelski on January 31st, 2019, 6:23 am

Hello...

I really felt horrible about not being able to post much during Nov and Dec because of an out of control off the charts busy season at my irl job. At the same time I had something pretty devastating happen to me on Christmas OOC/IC drama wise that I had to fight through and recover from. So in Jan, I promised myself I would keep track of my word count and fight through depression and anger. I did that but I haven't been keeping a running total. Today I added it up thinking it might be somewhere around 20K or so and I wanted to be sure tomorrow on the last day of January I posted enough to make whatever that odd number of total round itself out into a nice lovely solid number...

I'm at 53,610 tonight... without tomorrow's count.

I couldn't have done it without some pretty incredible folks who threaded with me and stood by me even though I was less than a good person and kinda went insane there for a bit.

So I think I owe some thank yous.

Crylon - I love your PC. I thought he was going to be boring, dull, and a pencil pusher/numbers cruncher. You showed me how wrong I could be. I think of him so differently now. He's actually sharp of mind, has deep rooted philosophies, and really causes me to think hard when I make a response. You take ideas others have and make them so much better, expanding and elaborating on them so much so that they take on a life of their own. I can't believe we've known each other this long and haven't threaded together before. It's been really fun and I hope I get to do more of it in the future.

Vasin - You are a heck of a lot of fun to thread with, plot with, and you have some lovely ideas and ideals. I love how engaging you are in DMs and how well you write in thread that gives a partner so much to go on. I'll gladly go on adventures with you any time. The old fashioned Dungeon Crawls and Library Lurks are great.

Regime - Thank you for answering a million questions, dropping plot seeds when requested, and just being around. You aren't the most word generating ST out there, but you do seriously care and give a lot of behind the scenes things... opening doors and pointing directions I wouldn't have seen or known about otherwise.

Anja - Kelski couldn't ask for a better human in her life. You are the absolute best male role model she always wanted, didn't know she could have, and finally found. Your knowledge and willingness to just be this lovely flawed tragic hopeful person makes writing with you incredibly fun. You are pretty great behind the scenes too in the guise of a good friend. I wish we were closer. We could hang out and bitch about health like two contented mangy crows sitting in a tree squawking out gossip.

Alexander - You are one fantastic writer. I hope you think about making writing part of your larger life outside of school and never give up something like that which you obviously love so well. It's been fun meeting you and getting to know your kelvic in thread!

Duncan - I'm glad we finally got to RP together again. I understand you've been busy, away, and are struggling to stay here and stay active... but its precious and lovely each time we get to post. I'm glad you are around and I hope we have many threads in the future when time opens up at the same space continuum for both of us to do so.

Sinna - I love writing with you so much. I know you have been busy and away, but I'm glad you keep popping in randomly and writing as much as you can in spurts. Thanks for keeping me updated in chat. I miss you and hope you can be back soon. I admire your voice, hope to get to know you and your NPC brother in a deep more meaningful way, and have a history together.

Finally... to those Voices In My Head that turned themselves into NPCs. Thank you for appearing when I needed you to and for supporting my PC through tough times and getting me back on track. In the near future I'm going to need you just as badly as I have been needing you... so please stick around. I don't think its crazy talk when I have silent conversations with you inside my brain or go over story scenes in my head with you. I appreciate it. It gives me something to do to keep from going batshit crazy because life is batshit crazy.

And to the rest of you in SB I don't know... I'm open to threads any time if you want them. Just nudge me in chat or drop me a PM here. The Midnight Gem is going to host a costume party soon and you're all welcome to come. If we thread, I promise I'll post a lot, or at least tell you if I get torn away. And if you get a chance to thread with any of the above, please don't hesitate to do so.

Jen

We should all be thanking Orakan for not only posting the Grading Status, but for going around and actually grading those long suffering threads that have been marinating in the closed cities! And a big personal thank you for popping into Lhavit, where I've been struggling to keep up with the grading queue. You're awesome. <3

Thank you for lending a hand!

These have been said before, but I figured you can't have too much appreciation for your hard work; I'd like to shout out a quick thanks to Orakan for keeping the global grading status updated so we all know what's what, and to Madeira for always being on top of Lhavit's grading queue!

She's just wiped out the queue in a day, and I appreciate it a lot; I'm sure her fellow Lhavitians do as well. :P It's not easy work, and I would have a lot more on my plate without her helping out.

I'd also like to sincerely thank Neo for everything he's done in Lhavit; I was just struggling to come out of a period of inactivity when he volunteered as an AS, and I couldn't be more grateful for his help. He's been a pleasure to work with, always coming up with fun and engaging plots, and really helped to re-spark my inspiration and give me the kick in the butt I needed to get back to proper writing, both as a ST and a PC; even if he may not realize it.

Having him around to help out also gave me a bit of breathing room as I got back into things; so for that, thank you. :D

Kelsi, I just found this awesome thread and I thank you for your kind words. I would also like to thank you for being my first IC thread partner. You make writing fun and I appreciate the eagerness you had to write with me, even though you knew I was a newbie. Knowing that the founder wanted to write with me done wonders for my confidense. Writing with you is a pleasure and I hope to do many more threads with you! From the bottom of my heart....I thank you!

Thank you to whoever has been deleting all the spam posts! I assume it's Goss, but Idk who else is able to delete messages, so if it's more than one person, thank you to you all! It's incredible to see how much spam pops up, and I'm sure there's even more that I don't even see because it's swiftly handled. So thank you for keeping the site clean!

The Quick Thanks Thread!

Postby Gossamer on April 17th, 2019, 3:25 am

I'd like to do a quick but very public thank you to all the graders who work hard grading threads and have to put up with a lot of sometimes negative feedback from pcs that don't like their grades. I also want to thank those PCs that take those grades gracefully and take the suggestions the graders give to heart.

I also want to specifically thank Antipodes for quietly starting to add in some of the quest rewards into the wiki. That way those nice magic items, even if not used, are available in the lore for Moderators in the future to use and as goals for PCs to try and acquire in thread.

Thank you. You are very appreciated.
