[Phoenix's Vlog] Listen While I Ramble

Two ideas for the dead of the city in the starts: (mostly a joke)

1.) Tie them to strings and hang them up as puppets on one of the more underpopulated peaks near the city.
2.) Have secondary houses built and when someone dies. Take them to the the families "second" house and set them up in some sorta of scene. Like at a dinner and such.

@Goss: That was an interesting video. It helped, I always pictured the region to me more of a temperate Amazon (with the dense forests) placed on mountain ranges.

Phoenix you did a wonderful job getting the messaged across, as did you Goss, thank you very much for clarifying things.

On a side note, if you need help brainstorming ideas for Lhavit just let me know ><; I know I am new but I do not mind lending a helping hand if it is needed! :)

Okay, so I watched all your videos yesterday, and first I want to say one thing. You are way too cute, lol. All your worrying about how you're doing in the video and the silly things you say.

Now, on to the more pressing matters. I enjoyed all the videos and found them very interesting. I would love to see videos on the individual castes in WR in the future. I especially want to hear you talk about the Dek, because I think they are the most misunderstood caste of all of them. People play them way off base of what they should be, or at least what I understand them as.. so a word from Phoenix on the matter would be nice to set things straight.

Um.. so.. that is what I would like to hear about. The castes. Uh...

I'd like to hear more about the Dek also. Apparently there is a member of the Endal caste that is going around getting hot and bothered with these beautiful dek, (I'm not calling names) and yea..that's not the way I imagined them to be so, PLEASE do explain.

@Dariel: I have to totally disagree with your view of the Victorian aspect, since it's a topic I've studied a lot during my dissertation work.

You would do well to redo your research, since the aspects you mention are very surface-only views. The Victorian period is 100% underwritten by the study of the occult and mystery groups. Hermeticism was growing in this period, and would eventually turn into things like the OTO, Golden Dawn, Thelema. Never has a period in a country been so fascinated with the stars. Astrology dominated society, to the extent Queen Victoria and monarchs before her had court astrologers. Though not in the public eye, monarchs and aristocrats very much believed in the patterns of the stars mapping their fortunes going forward. Observatories were popping up left, right and centre across England.

As for morals.... stiff upper lip and practised silence are once again surface only. The Victorian period sees the most brothels in England, the rise of sexual deviancy, and opium dens are ten a penny, encouraging the decay of morals across society. Aristocrats are smoking their minds into oblivion.

There are parts of Lhavit's flavour that absolutely echo Victoriana. In future I would advise more meticulous research. In history, it is often useful to read between the lines, things aren't always as they first appear.
