Hi Guys... Just a few things: I paid everyone. Dust, I need to see some thread links where you did mewmaster stuff. I know you were ACTIVE as a PC, but I need to know you were active at your job which is how you get paid. I haven't seen you in a single group sanctuary thread which is why Im asking. You need at least two threads a season where you are doing that. Just because I haven't seen them doesn't mean they are there. But I need to double check. Plus I'll run by with my other account and give seasonal IF you PM my other account - you know who she is - and ask for what you want XP wise. Most of you could easily qualify for Leadership XP. Here's the breakdown. She'll need to sell some pups and horses to buy the tavern, but that was in the plan already. Also with Dust taking off (if that's still in the plans) you should get some threads in with her about the mews.

Okay... to reiterate... The tavern plan. We need a plan to get some of the staff off my payroll... not so I can be rich but so that we can afford everyone. We have permission for Kavala to BUY the Tavern outright and you guys will get to pay rent on it to Kav in services exchanges in your part time (meaning you live at The Sanctuary and heal things or participate in the Sanctuary events as payment for the use of the space). That means that whomever is running the tavern like they want has to figure out their business plan and submit it to the Business Plan forum. We need a business plan for each independent business in the tavern. We also need a better working name for it. Gillar has said we can have a shop business plan off this as well for the giftshop/apothecary/whatever portion. Basically if it is run independently then it can be treated independently. Your building costs will be zero, but you will need startup funds for any special supplies etc. We can talk about that or you can pay for them outright out of your own funds. We can have a cook or caterer... we can have a person running the shop... we can have a bartender, hostess, bar owner, whatever... Tavern (Elaborate) 2,500 GM 400 sqft Kitchen (Elaborate) 1,800 GM 400 sqft Shop (Elaborate) 2,000 GM 400 sqft Ice House 500 GM 250 sqft Total: 6,550 sqft Minus 25% buying it all at once (-1637.50) Grand Total: 4,912.5 with new buildings, furnishings, stuff we need to open immediately besides booze and food and stock for the shop. I'll start a thread looking for some property... if anyone wants to join in. I'll also make sure I finish the brewery creation solo this week so there's no question that thing is in and operational.

Caelum’s rich! Well, kind of. For now. Thanks for the pay, Jen. Magpie already granted me seasonal XP in Medicine. I assume that means I am maxed out for fall. As for the tavern business plan, I volunteer Caelum to be the primary owner. I’m absolutely willing to negotiate this with anyone, however, just let me know and we can work out whatever is best for everyone. He will definitely be borrowing the money to purchase the tavern from Kavala (paying her back in labor and work continued at the Sanctuary, the details of which we can work out), and I intend to use his money for other startup costs. OR I think he can afford to purchase the tavern outright himself and either use a loan for startup or the money of other potential business partners for such things. To be honest, I’m an idiot when it comes to business plans, especially ones that are potentially complicated by multiple owners with (maybe?) different percentages of ownership. I am willing to try though! And I will be doing just that as soon as possible. Doubtless, I’m going to need help. If Caelum is the primary owner, that doesn’t change anything previously discussed regarding the use of the shop etc by other Sanctuary members and whatever else. Not just because I OOCily think that’d be a great deal of fun, but also because ICily that is what he would want. He is striving for a sense of home and family, after all. Poor ya’ll, guys, looks like he has his sights set on you. Right, so, to sum it up – Anyone who wants some ownership of this tavern, please come talk to me! I might use my scrapbook as a place to draft out the business plan and attempt to polish it up before submitting it to Gillar. (You know, so it hopefully doesn’t give him a migraine.) Alright. With 4079 gm in the bank, Caelum’s about 900 gm short of buying the whole thing outright. But of course then he wouldn’t have any money for all the supplies. So maybe better to take the loan from Kav for the place and use his money for supplies. Though, will he be paid as a healer at the Sanctuary for Winter, or will Winter season pay come from the tavern? That changes things. IE, Kavala, when do you want Caelum off your books? Lol. I’m thinking out loud here. Sorry. I probably sound like a lunatic.

It's not a loan per say. Kavala is going to buy the building outright. It's basically rent on the space for life. It's a really good investment for her actually because she gets you guys off the books but she gets your help as well. I am available for business plan assistance. You guys don't have to do a complex business plan with multiple owners. Each section ... say the shop... the tavern ( or whatever its going to be) or the kitchen can have its own plan. Seating would be shared Etc. Caelum if you call it a tavern, you'll have to get your business management or Barkeeping skills up unless your going to hire NPCs to run it. That's why I was thinking of calling it something else besides a bar... something more in line with Caelum's skill set.

That's perfect then! Regarding the money. About the skill set, I'm wide open to suggestions. Caelumis best with physician stuff, obviously, but he has a solid collection of skills pertaining to, well, Cytali. Things like intelligence, leadership, politics, rhetoric, are all upper end novice. Observation at competent. And of course the Ranuri which, to me, is sort of like having seduction and the trust side of leadership upped. Of couse, it also helps his sales and problem solving abilities like whoa. I thought the leadership skill was the one used a lot for tavern and shop things? He's 3 points away from competent in that. I could easily be wrong about that though. Summation, I'm not sure what to call the business to fit his skill set appropriately. Serving drinks is sort of clearly more of an excuse to have a place for him specifically to fix peoples problems and gather intelligence and Cytali recruit.

I know there's an answer in here somewhere. I just don't know what it is. Well, without adding business or barkeeping to an already existing list of skills he needs to amp up fast. Lol. Halp.
